Really Good Value for Money! Practical & Fun car!
Really fun to drive, perfect for city driving and very economical. Travel back and forth work 25 kms through the M2 every day a full tank will last 2 working weeks.
Owned 2 of these cars, the first one I owned purchased in 2015 (Silver - 2 door hatch) had an overheating issue, seemed to have sorted after flushing the cooling system, didn't cost that much to do, just a couple of litres of anti rust coolant. Also needed to replace the power window mechanism and spent around $200 for that.
After getting hit from behind late last year (Novemb...Read more
er 2017), the insurance company had me write it off, and I purchased the same make and model, only difference it was in ink blue. Already had about 151,000 kms on the odometer. But it seemed to be properly maintained by an accredited NRMA shop, so i bought it with confidence. So far just your regular service, and had to do an A/C re-gas. The power steering is making a bit of noise now, will be undergoing a service very soon, so hopefully that gets sorted. 155,000 kms on the clock at the moment. p.s. this delivers better power and handles better and has better A/C than the younger Hyundai Getz 1.6Similar opinion? Excellent
I highly recommend this car to anyone. The steering is precise and accurate, which is great for parking and general city driving and awesome on windy roads. The engine is more than powerful enough in the city and excellent on the highway. It feels very shore footed with plenty of power to overtake. I will be definitely upgrading to the new fiesta in the future.
I bought my 2004 Fiesta WP second hand. I did a lot of research as I wanted a fun small car. I was not disappointed. I tried a number of rivals including Toyota and Hyundai, both had poo...Read more
r dynamics, the toyota was awful in comparison to the fiesta. The build quality is also excellent for a small car and everything has a quality feel. My sister bought recently bought a new Getz. I'm glad I didn't go that way, the fiesta is way more comfortable than the Getz, especially for rear passengers. It also goes up hills much better. The Getz needs to drop to 2nd on a hill on my route to work but the fiesta can stay in forth with four passengers. There is some noise intrusion into the cabin, this was reduced significantly when I put on pirelli p7 tyre's. I find it quieter than my mother's Mazda 3 so it's not bad at all.

Good
Overall, it’s a great car with a few little issues. Hopefully Ford fixes these, but they have been great so far. Defiantly 4.5 out of 5 for me as it’s just a really cool car. If you’re in the market, BUY this car. If you buy a Toyota Yaris, Honda Jazz or the horrible Daewoo/Holden Barina you seriously need a wake up call. It leaves the competitors for dead in almost very regard. I know I’d rather push my Ford up a hill than drive a dull-as-dishwater Toyota, that’s for sure!

Good
Great little car, love it. Very happy with it. It handles really well in the wet, great power from the 1.6 motor.
Bought new 5 door hatch in Nov 2004, when it won small car of the year. Quality built, good handling in the wet, zippy in the city.
Premium unleaded. Road noise is a bit loud on the highways. Only one problem when the water pump failed, Ford fixed, however waited 3 days for the part to come from Perth???

Does Ford Fiesta 2005 have a cambelt or chain?

Hi,
I have a 2005 Ford Fiesta 5 door hatch and i would like to know the recommended time that the timing belt should be changed?
Thank you,
Jeanette

I have a 2009 1.4 auto, which I bought only recently. The owner's handbook suggested 150,000km or 8 years. My car was under the 150k but well over the 8 years, so I booked it in to have the timing belt done. Unfortunately my car is running poorly after the change, and there was a long delay for new bolts for the cam sprocket bolts which are single-use only and didn't come with the belt kit. To make the process quicker and cheaper, don't change the camshaft seals unless the mechanic says they are leaking.

Thank you! My husband told me to get a better set of tires, once these that came with the car are due to change, because of the noise. You made it that much easier for me to filter down the brand. I'l... Read more
