Underrated car, such a pleasure to drive
One of the best cars I have driven.
The drive is firm and comfortable and has all the features you expect in a more expensive car.
The interior space is amazing and when you fold down the rear seats, the capacity is comparable to a mid size SUV.
I bought the car brand new and now after 1 year with 30,000 klms on the dial, it still feels great and i’m still excited to drive it every time i get in.
The retail price for the Titatium is quite pricey but i manage to get a great deal which makes it worth it.
The turbo Diesel engine is punchy and is smooth on highways and even around the city. Considering its a diesel, its relatively quiet inside.
I haven’t had any issues yet so can’t comment on those.

Amazing
Well I can’t brag enough about my ford Mondeo sedan 2017. 6 months old and it is a dream to drive. The safety features is what I liked most initially. But since driving it and I only recently put it in sports suspension and sports mode that I was blow away. The adaptive cruise is also amazing. I have alwYs driven Camry. But I won’t go back.

The Mondeo is a great car to drive.
Driving the car is effortless, up to date with safety features, comfortable seating, modern looking. The Titanium has many many standard features including digital radio.
Too soon to really rate its reliability, only 3-4 months old, but no problems so far. Reasonable petrol usage for a car its size, averages 7-8 litres per 100 km.

ailable in overseas markets e.g. rear cross traffic warning, a major exclusion in this car for some reason. Ventilated seats instead of heated only. Massage seat (drivers seat) not even an option at time of purchase. Speed sign recognition not available. Lane keeping assistance is unreliable, more often greyed out than useable. Does not function at all (including smart cruise control) in heavy rain. Fuel economy is very much up to the individual. Using cruise control whenever possible contributes a lot to lower fuel consumption. Drive the Mondeo more spiritedly and you will pay the price. My best was 6.7 litres, very careful driving. Average is around 8.5 litres. It is a big car after all, just an inch or so shorter than the Falcon. Overall, I can't fault the car mechanically or otherwise.

Easy to drive and enjoy driving again
Mondeo titanium 2015 was a step up from my previous vehicle and I'm glad so far of the selection - diesel engine is awesomely efficient. For a diesel it's quiet enough and doesn't sound like a truck.
Features of the vehicle are well appointed for the price, would have liked the Sync 3 however Sync 2 does the job well.
Some people say the functions and the settings of the vehicle are complicated and a pain, they aren't at all... just work through it like a new smart phone - the vehicle has the ability for the user to change the Ambience ...Read more
lighting in the car with a selection of colours... Yet to take it on a long drive, but I already know it's going to be a comphy drive with those seats! If you're going to put some klm on the car, I'd go the diesel - sure maintenance is a bit more but a petrol engine would only do half the amount of klmsSimilar opinion? Still luvving this car!
Third Update:
I have since updated the Mondeo to a 2017 model due to lease changeover. Both have been diesel models. The current vehicle has now done 20K, the previous MD had done approx 43K when traded. Both cars have been fantastic. They both achieved 5.4-5.6L/100K around town, and consistently achieve 5L/100K on a trip (loaded boot, aircon and cruise running), though better if I turn off cruise and air. About 4.7-4.8.

d great acceleration. Remember, its a diesel. The redesigned turbo and transmission have removed the usual diesel turbo lag and it uses the transmission quickly and effectively to achieve acceleration for overtaking. Having driven the Titanium model for three years, I don't notice the alerts and technology features so much now, they've just become incorporated into driving routines. But I love the auto boot lift, reversing camera, self park features, lane departure and lane change features. When driving older cars I miss these the most. Both MD Mondeo's have been totally reliable with zero issues of concern, mechanical or otherwise. Services are done every 15000K by the book. This is important for oil and transmission fluid changes as they have a set lifespan. I achieved a great trade on the previous vehicle from a Ford Dealer and was very happy with price on the new one. Not sure why Ford don't advertise these more aggressively as they are a top vehicle. I still give them a 5-star thumbs up with ease. An accomplished and very economical car
I bought this low mileage Ford lease list car on the advice of a Ford employee with expertise on the (Peugot) diesel engine it uses. You really are not aware that it's a diesel from inside the car or when driving it. My first impression was the surprising power. This car wants to hoon and Mr Plod won't let you. omputer recognises that you require power. So it cuts the aircon, cuts the alternator and slightly boosts the turbo. The result is a very strong surge of power. This is a Titanium model which means it has all the bells and whistles available then in 2015. There are so many features I can't list them all here. One that I use a lot is 'follow me' adaptive cruise control. It uses radar to sense the car ahead and match it's speed with a drivers option to set the distance back. There's absolutely no stress driving in heavy traffic. If the traffic ahead stops suddenly the car will brake sharply, sound a warning tone and disconnect the cruise. It won't stop, unlike the later models. There is stability control, lane departure warning with 'stick shake' if you drift over the lane markings. There is what seems to be an accurate fatigue warning system. The headlights dip automatically and have curve following. The wipers operate automatically. There is voice control, Bluetooth connectivity, phone charging outlets, heated seats, heated demister windscreen etc etcetera. I love it. At 100 kph GPS on the Geelong highway the instant fuel readout was 4 litres per 100 kms and it's using about 7 litres around town. I forget when I last filled it and I've driven from Portland to Berwick to Sorrento, Geelong, then back to Portland on one tank and it still reported more than 100 km range left.1 comment
Now at 24000 kms, with mostly town running it has averaged 6.5 ltrs/100
Tyres are nearing replacement at 24,000 kms. Jan 2016 cost is $240 per tyre locally.

I have MD Titanium Petrol Hatchback and for the 2nd time, driver seat memory settings do not work, so seat and column stuck in default position. Lumbar settings still working. I thought Id look at fuse 2 in the passenger compartment fuse panel, but this seems good esp. as panoramic sunshade also working. Ford did not advise which fuse had blown first time. Any ideas?

n every time the car is restarted. Otherwise everything else functions as it should. Other "professional" reviewers will tell you it's not quite up there with its main competitor Mazda 6. Try both for yourself and you decide. One thing, it is a rather large car and acts like one. Petrol consumption averages at around 7.9 litres per 100 km. Not the best but acceptable. Put your foot down however, and the 2 litre turbo engine guzzles petrol like a v8 without the benefits. Not a slouch though by any means.
