Nice
I personally think that the car I chose to buy was a far more superior drive to even the newer ones I looked at. Performance is on tap, handling a little heavy, but I like that in a car. Hardly know it’s a diesel until you clock 900ks and still have room to move. Interior is hands on, easy to reach and navigate. Only dislike in this model/ year is where the window switches are located. Behind/ underneath door armrest. A little ‘ out of the way’ but 1st world problem. Being 6’2”, legroom is fantastic front and rear.

It never actually let me down on the side of the street, but it has way too many issues - STAY AWAY!
Performance - average
Handling - a bit uncomfortable
Noise - diesel, so not the smoothest ride
Major issues - Erratic behavior of the automatic transmission - QUITE UNSAFE
-Blowing black smoke - had to take it to the service shop under warranty at least 4 times before it stopped blowing black smoke that would get in the cabin.
Minor issues - Cruise control broke and I fixed under warrranty. It would never last more than 3 months, I would have to go again.
-Window auto down/up works intermittently
-Rear bumper bar are two sides that always come off - I had to reattach a few times.
-Floor mat holders (driver side) broke (cheap Chinese Plastic) within the first 6 months.

-If the car stationary on up/down hill for more than 20 minutes, it will mess-up the gas level indicator Honestly, I've spent so much time with this car in the service and wasted so much time, energy and money that I can only say - STAY AWAY FROM FORD.

Amazing
Well I can’t brag enough about my ford Mondeo sedan 2017. 6 months old and it is a dream to drive. The safety features is what I liked most initially. But since driving it and I only recently put it in sports suspension and sports mode that I was blow away. The adaptive cruise is also amazing. I have alwYs driven Camry. But I won’t go back.

Great driving car
Well after much consideration what to buy after my Ford territory I bought the Ford Mondeo titanium wagon. Hard to find to test drive but hunted and found one.
I was not disappointed. Beautiful to drive, comfortable and quiet. But best of all the diesel engine does not have that terrible hesitation on take off that the territory had.
It's lacking a row of seats and some ground clearance but I only used the 3rd row in the territory about 10 times.
Plenty of electronics if that's your thing.
Worth the money if your looking for a$50000 station wagon.
No issues. But the AC could be cooler in the hot temps.

Better fuel economy than LPG
I drive 210km per day to work because I get paid good money, but the company won't allow anyone to work from home, even though we could. Sound familiar? I live so far away from work because I couldn't afford a house closer. Public transport isn't an option because it takes 3.5 hours doing Bus/Train/Bus. I want to see my family.
I've been driving factory fitted LPG Falcon Wagons for over 10 years due to their economy and room for large loads. But as Falcons are no longer sold I had to find an alternative. Looked at LPG Holden Wagon Cruze, Com...Read more
modores and a few others. Until I discovered Diesel. No one ever told me Diesel was so fuel efficient. It blew me away. I get 1,100km per 65 Litres on one fill up! vs LPG 650km per tank fill. I'm now spending half the time at the petrol station. My Mondeo has now done 260,000km. No mechanical issues, though you do go through brake pads & rotors faster or Ford service could be ripping me off? I'm told the brakes use softer compounds to increase braking power which results in quicker wear. Though I did 80,000km off the rear pads compared to 120,000km on the Falcon. At 80,000km Ford said I needed to replace REAR rotors until I pointed out that they changed them last time with the pads. 80,000km on rear rotors. I don't think so. Then later that day they said they could machine them. Ford ? $$$ Hmmm. I would have moved to Diesel years ago had I know about its economy. As for diesel servicing costs, cheaper than petrol cars because you don't have to service fuel injectors, they don't have them. The Ford Mondeo wagon's rear room size is the same as the LPG Falcon. Bearing in mind the Falcon has the spare tyre standing up in the back because of the LPG tanks. So no tyre in Mondeo equals same space. The Mondeo Diesel can tow a 5.5m aluminium boat. Mondeo has plenty of guts, BUT it does have something called Turbo-Lag. Sometimes at intersections you put your foot down and nothing happens for a few seconds. Then all of the sudden the engine wakes up and the wheels spin and you take off. It's a Turbo-Diesel thing I'm told. For me it's an issue when you're trying to whip out into a gap in heavy traffic. The "whip part" can sometimes not happen. You roll out. Anyway for me I just drive with that in mind and when it happens try not to be in anyone's way. I drive 50/50 freeway/city. I would definitely buy an another Mondeo Diesel, provided a bunch of University Graduates haven't altered the newer models and stuffed something up. Believe me, I've lost count of have many times something great has been turned to crap in the name of change. So make sure the reviews you're looking at are the same model car.Similar opinion? Transmission issues
The ford mondeo is not a good car. After 5 months i started having transmission issues. Took it to several places and costing hundreds, it still isnt fixed. I finally got into a ford machanic and was told to cut my losses and sell quick as possible. To fix the 2 sences in the gearbox would cost me around $5000. I saved everything to buy this car and now im stuck the a broken car, no savings and faults after faults

Forget about an SUV - get the Mondeo wagon
Purchased a 2012 TDCi wagon. Fabulous car for fuel economy & great safety rating. Drove Melbourne to Cairns, cost only $220 in diesel. Great with overtaking & on the open road. Not as smooth to drive around town, but only making this comparison to my previous vehicle (2012 Ford XR6). A very spacious, reliable, & trouble free vehicle. Had looked at SUV's in the same catagory, however price & vehicle boot size couldn't be compared. These wagons are fantastic value for money.

Great family wagon
Purchased second hand due to needing a wagon and better safety rating than our older car. The diesel is fume free, economical and quiet. I had to get used to the blinker being on the wrong side for Australia. The seat is very comfortable front and back, suitable for large and small people.

Great family car
Excellent value for money. Fresh and attractive design for this category, more than enough room inside, perfect set of options for family use (driver seat memory really helps when people with significant difference in height both drive the car interchangeably, front parking sensors in addition to rear sensors and camera) plus lots of convenient helpers. After Toyota Camry feels like a prestige car.

Uh Oh
I took my car to Ford at Midland for a service. It came back with a transmission fault. I spent several hundred dollars trying to get the problem diagnosed, not solved...diagnosed. Ford Midland basically said buy a new car. The Ford Mondeo is not reliable. I had a 2 litre Torq diesel. The car was about 7 years old and perfectly maintained. I've never seen such poor problem ownership as I have with Ford. They basically washed their hands even though they created the fault. I had to sell my car with money still owing on it.

Ford Mondeo Station Wagon Feedback
My car is economical to run, and runs well, particularly well on the open road and long distances. However, it has now come up with a problem. When I drive over 80km, a message comes up on the dashboard." Transmission Auto Limited"
I have had it serviced every 10,000 kms and an auto transmission service at 50,000 kms. Codes have been hard to find and Ford had to drive it 60kms and over 80kms to find them. They corrected the codes and replaced the module under the gear stick and then it seemed it should be OK but the message came up on the ...Read more

Very nice car car I had for 8 years.
Neat and a delight to drive, all interior options very easy to use and understant.Great 2.3lt petrol engine, auto trans no problems, just lacks top end torque.Otherwise a very comfortable car to drive and tow a camper trailer with ease. Not suitable to tow caravans though as weight and towing rates will not be compliant.Economy good especially on cruise control.Plenty of space for luggage.Spare tyre not practical as not a full spare and causes inconvenience.Did have noise problems with power steering but great since problem was fixed.A car that could have been my last until we bought a caravan.Always used 95/98 octane fuel.

Compact family wagon
Sleek looking compact wagon. Has all the trimmings including voice activated audio and cd player. Sea ts are comfortable with a good fabric and look. Tends to wear passenger rear tyre quicker than the rest. Excellent mileage on long runs. Electric windows with plenty of leg room. Perfect for the small family. Ample space in the bag for luggage or shopping.

Beautiful, simple car.
Just bought a 2011 Mondeo with 18,000 kms on it. Just like it came off the show floor. A little under power for a wagon but great to drive and sticks to road like glue. Nice driving position and plenty of leg room for the whole family. Huge boot space and a lot of options in car for anyone who needs them.
Had it serviced last week by Ford (very competitive on price), no issues.
Overall a nice, cheap to run second car.

Great car. Best Ford ever!
The Mondeo is a great car. It has virtually all the same fittings and accessories as our Mercedes and cost significantly less. The only fault I can find with this car is that it is extremely difficult to get the ignition key in. It's tucked away behind the steering wheel and you really need to open the front door to find the keyhole!
Other than that it does everything really well, without fuss, and once a year servicing is economical

This is a review for a 2011 Ford Mondeo 2.0 ltr TDI wagon.
I purchased this vehicle with a full service history in January 2015, it had 90,000 kms on the clock.
The Mondeo has now covered 123,000 kms. Aside from service items, it has had a filter in the steering fluid reservoir unblocked, at a cost of $50. There is no sign of corrosion on the bodywork
It has very comfortable positive handling. Very quiet, plenty of load space, extremely economical at 6.3 ltrs per 100kms average. It was fitted with new cheap Achilles tyres, these lasted for 30,0...Read more

Horribly underrated car
In the age of senseless SUV purchasing, the Mondeo is an absolute godsend in large family cars. A full size vehicle with every bit of equipment and safety features complete with a boot that puts 7 seater cargo holds to shame.
The 2.0L turbo diesel effortlessly gets around town in the 6-6.5l/100 and on any stretch of highway, will get around 5. There's enough guts to get the engine up and about when needed but otherwise just chugs along without issue.
The boot space in the wagon is phenomenal and with seats folded down you could have a pa...Read more
rty in the back if you wanted. Adaptive cruise is one of those features that's hard to forgo once you've have it, all of the safety features included are often high priced extras on other vehicles, automatic and electric everything and the seats are some of the most comfortable I've sat in. My only small gripe is the Ford Sync 2.0 software. Not having any compatibility with Apple CarPlay or Android is just unforgivable these days. Overall it's been the best car I've owned and for what probably just gets seen as a boring fleet car is actually a bloody good vehicle that's criminally underrated in a glut of generic SUV's.Similar opinion? Amazing looking car but that's all.
Just writing this review to help people out with the Oz td ford mondeo, a great looking car inside and out but that's about it. My ford that I just sold at a loss from all the issues I had with it, where to start? Stuck in 3 gear for no reason with all the warnings lights on, lots of money to find out the software lost its memory. All the lights staying on after car was locked, to find out I needed a new battery, then you can only go to BP to get diesel as shell and that make it ran tuff as guys with power loss. The hatch leaked water as well, Could go on with heaps of problems. Stay away from them!! Btw mine only had 60kms on it.

Obviously as models went mechanicals and the body changed.
Due to work I was always a falcon supporter, great kms and reliability, but I think the Mondeo is similar but surpassing it in design and reliablity in peripherals the the same is in motor design reliability.
When I was a kid we bought holdens because fords were a little more expensive.
Every Weekend I worked on the Holden,HG,HT,HX ect to fix something, but once I saved enough for an old XP falcon Ute I never looked back and bought fords from then on.
Sorry if I am off on a tangent.
