hi have px1 2013 xlt, battery went flat and it went into limp mode, i replaced battery and all went well for 1 year, now flattened battery again and its going into limp mode. have abs, engine and traction light on. have a new battery and computer fault codes cleared, its throwing output speed shaft sensor error and ecm/pcm data invalid, some days its fine but others its in limp mode or ill be goojng 100km and it drops into first and revs out. have to put into neutral and turn off and sometimes it resets and im ok and some times its not. ford have said most probably new tranny $8000. Wondering if anyone has had this as there seems to be lots of occurrences like this. intrested to know if anyone can provide any light on this and how you can elliminate abs sensors

2014 wildtrack Bought 2nd hand with 108000 on the clock told it was recently serviced and 8 months later engine started making funny noise grinding noise around 100-110 as usually do oil around 8-10 thousand drive for a week then put the boat on and made it about 30 klms from home before it was bellowing smoke out of engine and exhaust only just madw it up the hill lost power waitied for a tow for 4 hours they tell me number for injector went and now the 4 cylinder down new motor dealer says 3 months warranty is that even legal I was that excited I didn’t notice how long the warranty was. Surely when you buy from a dealership you get Looked after Nah not me work car has been off the road for 6 months and I’m getting lifts to my jobs thanks ford more then unhappy

Wildtrak 3.2 auto thuds/clunks into 6th gear at about 75 -85 Klm/hr. Sometimes I completely lose 6th gear. This fault happens intermittantly but is happening more often. 2022 with 31,000 Klms. Dealer doesn’t seem concerned, they dropped a new program into gearbox computer. No change. Anybody had an issue like this.

my ford ranger xls 2.2 2016 model 4x4 is not working is just flushing on the dashbord & service light is coming on whenever i try to engage it, what could be a problem?

I have a 2014 3.2L Xlt. I have just replaced the alternator and put a new battery in. I start the car, and after 30 seconds to a minute the battery light comes up on the dash. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My 2012 ford ranger traction control light keeps coming on and my engine but car has been serviced well all the the time and the car goes into limp mode this is a reoccurring does anyone know what to do to fix this

I have a 2017 Ford ranger 3.2 diesel Automatic, when Im driving offraod in deep rutted or rocky terrain I find that my Ranger is very jerky (when in automatic) and runs at a very high gear with high revs. To me the vehicle needs to change down but wont. In this situation should i only use manual mode and select 2nd or 3rd gear? Even in manual mode I still find that the ranger surges .Any thoughts or suggestions on helping me resolve this? I have recently added a Idrive throttle controller which I run on the E mode at the highest sensitivity setting of 9 and its still surges.

My 2013 2.2 limited started with a small misfire at low revs a few weeks ago. Not all the time,just every now and then. Then last week when I went to pull away it died and the powertrain light came on.i left it for 5 mins and then it started again. It's done this 3 times now and only when I put my foot down a bit. Could a faulty battery be doing this? Or something more sinister??

Just had 15,000km service and the spanner light is on. I think the car is in limp mode. Can i reset the light?

Hi All, My ford starting was great and then started losing power when I go up hill and when I accelerate it will just cut power. It di it twice in 85kmns and then 8 hours later on my way back it did it everytime I accelerate to above 2000rpm. I changed the oil filter and it was very dirty but now after putting it back I can only start the car then it idles fine and when I press the pedal to rev it just bogs down an die or goes up from 1.500 rpm to about 2000/2500 and then come down again or if I keep holding the pedal down it dies or stalls the engin.
