Of doubtful integrity
Interesting to read these reports. I bought one of these generators and was very happy with it until at about 30 hours on the clock. I gave it a service (qualified mechanic) and took the covers off to get to some loose studs. Cut a long story short I started it after the service and it ran ok. Few days later started it and it ran poorly, revs fluctuated (clearly electronic throttle not functioning) all over the place and no read out on the digital display and no 240v output. Pulled the covers off again and found a fault which I blame myself ...Read more
for. Bought a new inverter/ mother board for about $200 dollars fitted it, no better. Asked for advice and didn't get any so ordered a new regulator for about $90, still no go. Checked all the phase windings and no obvious fault there. so everything checked and still a problem. Each time I asked for advice or clue was told to send it back to Sydney (I too live in Adelaide) and they would charge me $90 just to look at it plus $90 an hour for any repairs so just not economical. The thing is still sitting under the bench and each time I look at it reminds me not to buy anything from them again. Having said that I would buy (at the right price) a stuffed one I can use for parts just to prove a pointPurchased in April 2021.

Reasonable generator for the money.
Apart from being a little noisey the generator has run well over the last 4 years. I regularly change the oil and run it for 20 mimutes every 8 to 10 weeks to keep battery charged.
Purchased in January 2021 at Utopia for $475.00.

You can't get a quart out of a pint pot!
All of these cheap Chinese generator inverters claiming around 3.7kW output should be banned and the importers distributors given steep fines for misrepresentation. Look at the engine specifications; usually a 150cc engine producing 3.5 hp at 5,000 rpm. 3.5hp is 2.6kW and that is gross output from the engine, less (power factor due to transmission loss) will be delivered to the generator. So where does the other 1.1Kw come from? These generators are either the magic wonder of eternal power, forever sought by mankind or they are the heaps of garbage reported by buyers.

F6200Ri
I purchased the Fuji Micro F6200Ri in December 2016 during the week long SA power outage. It has been used for a total of less than eleven hours and now has no 240VAC output and of course is out of warranty The USB and 12v outputs are OK. A local SA repairer has told me a new one is cheaper than repair. I contacted Edisons for a circuit diagram or any technical tips on what might be wrong and was told to bring it to Sydney ( not practical, I am in Adelaide) or to take it to a local repairer who should contact them.Already done that. They say get a new one. Stay away from Fuji Micro no practical back up. I have read three reviews with the same problem at approx the same running hours
Purchased in December 2021 at Mytopia for $750.00.

Same problem - as other reviewers
Have had the generator for over 12 months but only has 6 hours on the meter. I sent to a small engine mechanic and he said to take it the tip. Would not buy another unit. Starts and runs but no 240V power. What, what else can i say the generator is no good and no back up from the sales, have now dumped it at the tip.

What a piece of junk. Have had similar ones that are magnificent, but note there were not the EFI units? Damn

To MYTOPIASTORE on Friday 02/02/18 (E-Bay return request, Product faulty - current)
At the present time I have a Inverter/Generator which looks good but is of no value to me and I also feel that pulling the Generator apart will void any waranty. I will find out the cost of sending the Generator back to you. If the cost is very high, I may as well take the Generator to my local Rubbish Tip in Tyabb. I have only started this Generator 3 times since receiving it and found it to be faulty. I am very disappointed in this product and would not recom...Read more

Not happy
Glad some folks had luck with theirs. Had problems with mine from day 1. It is hard to start, battery is forever flat. To start you need to unscrew the back to access the choke, bad design, then you need to connect the battery to a external one then it starts good, so much messing around. Of course the battery is a special so you cannot go buy one off the shelf as the shelf ones are 10mm too wide to fit the space. Gave up trying to start it with pull string, too hard. Informed Mytopia but got messed around till warranty expired. Gave up with them. Will not buy or recommend anything from Mytopia. If you have a problem, you will be stuck with it. Also these generators are not 3.2kw as advertised, they are 2.8kw at best.

What a great generator
Bought this on special at Edisons for the caravan. Great unit runs the aircon and charges the batteries no problems. Does Not even break a sweat, Remote start a great feature especially if its cold and wet in the morning and you want that heater to run to warm up the van before you get out of bed :)

Not too bad for the price
The 6200RI is made by Fuji Micro as is the 5200RI which is the same except for the LCD readout (6200 has one but 5200 doesnt).
The 6200RI does come packed with features over some other generators. The main ones being - An electric keystarter, a remote starter (as well as the standard pull start), The LCD which indicates output in watts, oil condition and overall run time.
The true advantage of this generator (for me) is that at 3200 watts nominal and 3700 watts peak (for a few minutes) its capable of running all appliances in my motorhome INC...Read more

My 3700 is hunting especially under load
3 answers
Hunting is generally due to fuel supply and less often air supply. It is usually due to insufficient fuel which I suspect is the case for you as it's happening under load but there is sometimes a similar effect when the choke is on and the engine has reached operating temperature. So check fuel lines and flow, choke and air filter. Be sure too that you are not overloading the generator because in my estimate the max operating load is closer to 2.5kW.
Has it always done it?
I've had a few of these generators over the years and they all surge if you use low octane fuel, they can also stutter and overload due to octane used.
98 octane is the best and 95 if you can't get 98, but put 91 in it and they just don't like it.
I've generally got around 2-3 years out of them then just buy another which was worth it when you could get them for around $600 delivered, but @ today's prices of $1700+ they're just not worth the problems you will probably have to contend with. I think it will be a Honda or Yamaha next time I need a replacement. That said current one with over 400 hour is the best one I've owned yet.

ytopia I am asking E-Bay to "Step in" and also referring this matter to Paypal. How would you like to purchase a new machine and when you receive the machine it is faulty. If I had purchased the Inverter/Generator from Super Cheap Auto and it was faulty Super Cheap Auto would have changed the Generator over for another one or given me a full refund today. I am very dissapointed with this Fuji Micro Inverter/Generator and extremely dissapointed with the after sales service from Mytopia. I am today seeking Legal advise as I do not intend to be left with a faulty Inverter/Generator which I paid for to your Company in good faith. Cal 05/03/18.
