Excellent features at a great price
I upgraded from a Forerunner 220, purely because I wanted a wrist based heart monitor. I use the watch for running only. The watch menu is simple and logical to navigate. The watch displays heart rate, pace, distance, activity time, and time of day. You can select 3 of these features to be visible on the display during activity (when connected to GPS) and also scroll through the others. I like that it connects automatically to both Garmin Connect and Strava apps, where you can view additional information on cadence, elevation, and stride length...Read more
. The wrist based HR seems fairly accurate, although it does have occasional peaks and dips. If I run with my phone, it displays incoming text messages on the watch screen. Next time I feel like a new running watch, I will definitely look at Garmin first.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A decent sports watch.
Garmin Forerunner FR235 with GPS and HR is a decent sports watch especially if picked up at a decent price.

Like most sports watches its primary aim is a RUNNER. Reviewing can be tricky because one tends to concentrate on features that matter most and we all value different things. I do a lot of riding so I will be buying an ANT+ speed/cadence sensor to pair with the watch so I can get accurate ride details. The watch will do some other activities, with less details, although ...Read more
running and cycling are the main ones. It links with the Garmin connect app to give you more options and features. I have mine linked with Strava and I like that I can upload with Bluetooth/no cables. It's a little oversized but not too big and looks good - simple and not 'overdone' like some are. It's not touch screen but that's also good as small screen operation, on a wrist, isn't my personal thing. Battery lasts 5-6 days if you don't use it much. If you do then you're looking at 3 days. Charging is relatively quick and easy. It has quite a few features/options when it comes to personal settings and whilst the menu is a little tricky you do get used to it. It has all the usual watch features, alarm, time/date, light, Bluetooth and battery indicator etc. It has an activity monitor and will remind you to move, count your steps, monitor your sleep etc.

I have a Garmin forerunner 235. Can I use to track where I walk and run on map displays? I would to see where I have walked or where I’m about to walk on a map. Can it be done? Everything else is fine.
