They build very quick. if you any issues after you got key please fix it straight away. i had problem with my home may cracks everywhere. Tradesperson came one day to fix crack but he said you got more cracks wait another few months you will get more crack will fix it later. now they said you fix it yourself its come under owner maintenance. don<t believe them. last month my shower screen explode. They using some poor quality products. G2570

Our building progressed smoothly through out each stage of construction with good communication between ourselves and the building supervisor.
We have been very happy with the build quality with only small touch ups after first final inspection.
Any issues we have had, have been acknowledged with satisfactory outcomes with Gemmill's staff going above and beyond to help resolve the issues.
While our costs have exceeded our initial estimates, we have been kept fully informed through out the build process with no hidden surprises at the end

So many let downs

To say we are utterly disappointed with this builder is an understatement. We built in 2011/2012 and are still having issues that are unresolved. The biggest issue we have had is our leaking shower in our ensuite. We have had our shower ripped out multiple times and are now having to go through the entire process yet again!! We have damaged carpets and are living with water pooling into our walk in robe and after waiting for 4 months, we are still yet to hear when this issues will be rectified. The after sales service from Gemmill is extreme disappointing as is the lack of concern given for actually fixing the issues.

We built 8 years ago with Gemmill homes in Perth and a few years ago we noticed that our bath wasn’t working so we notified Gemmill to see if it was covered inter structural warranty, which we initially were told it wasn’t. We persued further with Gemmill who eventually sent out original plumber to look and see what issue was and identified that problem was caused by fault during original installation.. Since they have fully rectified issue and also noticed some issues that were due to change in building regulations and fixed those as well. We are glad that some builders still take pride in product they supply. Gemmill homes definitely do stand behind every home they build...

We have been in our new home for 4 months and could not be happier with the result. The fittings and appliances used are of a high standard and all of the staff and tradespeople were very professional to deal with. Our Site Start Supervisor was fantastic and assisted us greatly with advice on earthworks, fencing and retaining walls. Our Client Administrator was amazing with her assistance and knowledge of products and colour choices. Our site Manager was very efficient with his attention to detail and ensured any variations were carried out as requested. Our Client Liaison person always returned our emails/calls and was very helpful.
Based on our experience, we would recommend Gemmill Homes without hesitation.

One of the best in their Calibre with excellent service.
I have built several homes in the past but I should admit, building with Gemmill Homes was the best experience I have ever had.
Sales development coordinator alongside their pre start consultants and the building supervisor helped us throughout the process.
I am a fussy client and to be honest quality of build and their services way exceeded my expectations.
Will be building with them for sure in the future.

We moved in our new home and it has been a great experience from the start itself .the entire construction did not take more than 6 months.
The house was build exactly as plan and everything was just perfect.
Customer service and support was amazing. Special thanks to Aaron,April lamb, Kerry, Sarah,lance and many thanks to Gemmill homes for constructing our dream house as beautiful as we wanted.

I found the admin side dragged on a bit, but once the build started, it went quite fast! Very impressed, started building mid June, moved in just before Christmas! Building supervisor was very informative, told me things you never would've thought about when building a home, staff were friendly and very helpful, they certainly don't muck around! Any problems were fixed quite quickly!

I am very satisfied with the effort and workmanship towards the build of my home, it is of high quality. From the very beginning of when i walked in, sat down, and signed up, i had been treated by friendly, understanding reception. Great customer support all the way from start to finish. A very good build quality. Even our independent building inspector found no structural issue except for few minor detailing but can be ignored otherwise. Whatever concerns were raised was handled efficiently. Our client liaison officer kept us updated us on each and every little progress which gave us a sense of being looked after, personally. Everything ran smoothly on time and with no delays whatsoever. A happy customer I should say we are and would not hesitate recommending Gemmill Homes to anyone asking for suggestions.

Hi, Gemill. My home is nearly 5 years old now. I notice our front lime stone brick facade is staining from rain water because there is no gutter running along it. This was meant to be a feature wall showing off the house but now the brick is stained black on one side where the water runs off. Does your 25 building warranty cover this because there is no guttering?? is this structural?

I built my house with you in 2013 and I notice that my entire house is cracked at the ceiling.I think this is due to poor workmanship and I would like to know if you stand by your word and garantee for 25 years.Please don’t tell me it’s wear and tear as the building is only 4 years old.

Why is it that you don't answer your phones? When ever you ask to speak to someone they are "busy" and "will call you back". They never call back. The service department's voicemail tells you to just send them an e-mail, but they don't reply. If you ask to speak to Craig Gemmill directly, they won't put you through. So much for standing behind every home he builds. I think I need to get a lawyer to get any where. Does anyone know how to get a straight answer from them?

Hi Nick,
I am having the same issue and have not heard from the manager yet can I just say the person you speak to today will not be the same person you speak to tommorrow the company has an extremely high turn over and the Service department don't act on the matters brought to thier attention. I have a roof that is leaking water in my main wardrobe and have had them try to fix the issue with no outcome. This has happened within the last 12 months I can empathize don't give up someone will.listen I asked to speak to Craig and was told its not going to happen. I hope Craig reads this as his company isn't running right and hasn't been running right for at least 12 months.

Yep, I have the same problem. No one wants to own the problem, they just pass it around until you give up. We gave up and just paid to have things fixed properly. 12 months of messing around was too much.
