My GHD straightener is not heating up, light constantly flashing, and every few seconds it does a triple beep. I have tried keeping it warmer and no difference :( I got this 5 years ago but I hardly ever use it, only for special occasions, and have always kept it in its protective case it came with and fold the cord correctly. Please help

My ghd straighteners are also flashing red halfway through straighting my hair. if I turn them off and back on again seems they are going okay again. I'm assuming they are gunna be stuffed soon!!

My GHD Platinum straightener has started to flash red and beep. Its just over 12 months old and been fantastic. Used once a week and I love it. What is the email address so that I can make contact t with GHD. Hoping that such a great product at the price I paid does not only have a 12 month shelf life :(

Sadly My GHD Straightener just died halfway through straightening my hair for a wedding. Although I have owned it for three years it is only used a couple of times a month, always kept in its protected pouch with the heat guard on, still looks new. I realise it is now out of warranty but surely for the price of the product the consumer has a right to expect a longer life expectancy, or are my expectations unrealistic? I have contacted GHD but have had no response so far. Very disappointed. This is my third GHD that has died.

23.9 Update on the above. Huge recommendation for GHD customer service in Australia. They did not hesitate to support me with my product issues. If you are having issues with your product give the team at GHD a call.

Hi Annabelle! My GHD eclipse did the exact same thing, I kept it in a heat proof case, used it some times not even once a month. I had mine for just over three years. I was very annoyed, as they cost a lot of money. I was able to get in contact with GHD by calling them. I gave them a few details on the model and the best they could do was give me there new model for $150. Which I guess is better than nothing. Good luck!

Hi i have a ghd bout 6 or 7 yrs now wen i turn it on de red light cums on and den wen its heated up it beeps and de red light keeps flashing, is this ok? I cant remember whether wen it heats up it beeps and de red light stays on or it stays flashing thanks

Hi Liz, you may want to email GHD if it's still under warranty, I had to do so multiple times, they've sent me replacements twice after some communication difficulties with customer service, onto my third one now and still same problem, not good, considering how much they cost!

When my ghd's are turned off but plugged in at the wall they turn themselves on but no heat and a red light comes on and beeps.... Anyone else have this? They work fine and heat up fine when I turn them on.

After turning on & they have heated up (about 1 minute), the red light starts to flash and beeps. The red light stays on flashing until the tongs are turned off.
They still work but why the red light and beeping?
I do not have the receipt as they where a present approximately 18 months ago.

The red light and beeping means that the straightener is heated and ready to be used.
