I feel like GHD has dropped in quality a lot. The straightener takes a while to heart up and doesn't entirely take all of the waves out of my hair. I dislike the fact that you can't change the heat setting. The packaging with this product was very nice and came with a straightener bag. GHD is good for hair health. There are better straightner brands out there these days though (halo and muk for example).

The GHD heats almost immediately and is a good straightener. My previous ghd had issues with the plates coming loose but my current model is excellent. Would be good if it had a shut off power function in case you accidentally leave it on!

An excellent hair straightener that I have been very happy with. It heats up very quickly, and is very smooth on my hair. Most importantly it has an auto off switch, which means I no longer have to worry about whether I left my straightener on or off!

I really struggle with straightening my hair. But these straighteners are the best and make it so easy. I had my first pair of these for over 10 years and have just repurchased. I also don't feel that these straighteners singe my hair like other brands do.

Super fast heat up! Easy to use on my hair, I have very long wave and thick hair. Also has a fantastic function of turning itself off after 30mins, great when you forget do it doesn’t burn the house down!

The GHD straightener is the best hair product I own. I have long curly hair and it dosnt take more than 20min for me to completely style with the straightener. It’s quick to heat and easy to hold as I style. I would highly recommend it.

I got a new GHD styler/straightener for my birthday this year. My old original ghd maxx sadly gave up and died after 10 years of faithful service! I opted for the standard design this time as it was in a special mother’s day gift pack for a reduced price and I am really happy with it. Although it takes a little longer to styler my long thick hair (compared to the thicker tonged styler) it has the same long lasting, shiny effect!
Can’t live without my trusty GHD!

I love my ghd hair straightener and use it several times per week. It heats up quite quickly (in the region of 20-30 seconds) and heats to the perfect temperature for my hair. It's nice and light and feels comfortable to use. I find it less damaging to my hair than other cheaper straighteners, but find that it's definitely worth investing in some argan oil or other heat-protective product. Ghd straighteners are on the expensive end, but I think it's worth spending the extra money to buy a product that does a good job.

Honestly these are my favorite hair straightens i have ever brought.
i've had mine for years and it still works as if it's brand new.

I got these straighteners for my 18th birthday - I am now 33 and they are AMAZING!!!

They heat up in approx 30 seconds, if not less, which is great!! They are nice and hot and do an amazing job!!!

I have pretty frizzy hair and it takes me approx 5 mins to straighten my hair with them... curling it with them is possible, but does take longer... but I also haven't done this enough to perfect the technique.

They are super easy to use... I don't feel they have an overly negative effect n my hair, but I use serums and heat protection sprays to help with that anyway. Would recommend something to help as they do get incredibly hot.

Also beware of skin contact cos that hurts like hell if you catch your ear or neck!!

By far the most brilliant hair straightener, had a protective coating on the heat blades to apply heat to your hair, sealing the hair shafts to give a smooth shiny result. Other brands just try to mimic the ghd.

I have had this product for three years now and am happy to report I am satisfied with the product from day one. It's super easy to use and provides me perfect results every time. I couldn't live without my GHD and believe investing in a superior product is mandatory. This model is pretty basic, but does the job! It heats up within a few seconds and looks good when not in use. I haven't had any issues with it as it feels and looks well built. I will always stick with GHD straighteners, as I am a very happy customer!

There's a reason why GHD are the best. This was the first time i'd actually invested in something other than an el-cheapo Kmart edition hair straightener, and I wish I'd done it sooner!

I got this for my wife. Dangerous territory for a husband to venture in to but I had heard her saying GHD is "the" name when it comes to straighteners. Anyway I got it right and she loves it and regularly uses it. She used it a lot at first and now seems to only use it if shes after the Japanese super-straight hair look. Good quality machine

I love my ghd, it doesn’t burn the hair or snag the hair in the plates. It heats up within 15 seconds. It’s so easy to use straightening or curling. It doesn’t leave my hair frizzy at all. Love it!!

I had this exact styler previously (probably an older model) and one day it died. Disappointing but it was probably 6+ years old and dropped at some point.

Looked around at new ones, checked reviews and other ghd models and decided (based on price mainly) that I would just buy the same ‘original’ one again. It’s great. Better results- smooth and straight with little effort - and quicker heat up than my old one - extremely quick. Much cheaper than the fancier models. Slim and easy to store away. Glad I went for this again.

Purchased this brand years and years ago.
It still in great working order. It’s worth every dollar. I can straight my hair and also used it to curl my hair. It’s small and compact and it has a colour carry case to put this GHD straightener.
Highly recommended. Quality for money.
