Hi there,

I have thick, wavy, rather coarse hair just below my shoulders. I'm very keen for a slightly wider plate to cut down time, however I also like doing loose waves/curls. I'd LOVE to try the 313 to see if I can achieve both with the slightly wider plates. However, if I purchased the 313 and struggled to get waves working, is there any way I could do a swap for a 201? I've only ever had thin plates and am excited about the possibility of having something in the middle. :)

Thanks!

You can exchange the iron for a different model within 7 days upon receipt and if it's scratch free and in original condition. Best to email the offices or call on 1300 652 797 if you have any other questions.

So it makes me often goes to the hair salon very often just to straighten it but not making it damp. Kindly please need advice which one suit me the best. Thank you ...

Hi Ling,
I would suggest the 313 just because it is wide enough to tackle thick hair but also small enough to be able to do more like curl hair and get really close to the scalp. But I have never used the 501 before.

I have fine hair that's naturally curly and a lot of it. In its natural state it's crazy frizzy. Can you please tell me if the 313 or 201 is best for my hair type. I like to occasionally curl.

Hey :) I suggest you get GP501 for your hair since you have really curly and frizzy hair, you can also get nice big curls from that straightener as well. I have almost all the straighteners and Iv finally figured out which ones go for which type of hair. You could call up GlamPalm for their help as well, the number is on their website :)

Hi!

I have medium length relatively thick hair and was wondering which would be best for straightening and curling?

Hi KateJay,

Thank you for your email.
We would recommend you the GP313 (32mm wide plate) as with thick hair it will straighten and wave/curl well.
If you are used to a normal straightener (24mm wide plates) and you like that size you definitely can also go with the GP201 however straightening can take just that little bit longer as less hair is touching the plates at once.
If you like the tighter curls (ringlets) we would recommend you the GP201.

All our irons come with premium packaging, a heatproof clutch bag, a heat cap, 2 sectioning clips and 2 year warranty.

I have long (nearly half way down my back) hair although I might get it cut a bit shorter, my hair is normal in thickness. I like the size of the 313 but I still want to be able to do a bit of curling/wave, would this still be possible with the 313? because it says it's mainly for straightening.
Thanks!

I haven't found a way to curl the hair with the 313 but I am really style "challenged" when it comes to hair lol and have never been able to curl my hair with any straightening iron very well. As you say, they do really only recommend the 313 for straightening http://www.glampalm.com.au/category-s/1829.htm (I too opted for the 313 based on the size). The 313s are good for me because I have natural curls and just need it for straightening but I think that I would consider the other models in hindsight for the curling option. Maybe to be sure you get the best model for you, you could chat with them on their FB page, "Glampalm Australia" which they seem quite active on :)

Hi Justine,
Thank you for your question.
The GP313 was originally mainly designed for straightening. People with normal and thicker hair will be able to wave and curl with it however it will take a little bit more practice as the barrel flatter. if you like ringlet curls or strong-hold curls we would recommend the GP201.

Hi Tahlia, if you only want to straighten we recommend the 313 however if you want to curl too we would recommend the 201 as you have thin hair.
