Perfect tyre for Territory AWD
So far so good. No road noise and fantastic in the wet. It's hard to tell how long they will last as they are new. I payed 220 each from tyre power in Melton who were very professional. I will repost in the future with more info. Hopefully they last as long as the factory fitted organs which are these.

If you have a Territory, only use these.
Change my Ford Territory from Fortera to another brand, and started having an issue with road noise and rumbling. Changed back to the Fortera, and everything is back to normal and riding smooth. These are built for the Territory and its worth the extra money they charge. Highly recommend for the Territory.

No complaints
I've had these tyres for about 6 months and am happy with there performance. The have good handling in wet and dry situations. The only thing I found was I have to top up the air every week which I haven't had to do with pervious tyres. Overall I would purchase again.

80560 Km and still roadworthy! (just)
I leased a new Ford Territory Titanium RWD Diesel in October 2015 for my weekly 1500 Km(+) commute (Melbourne to Canberra and back every weekend, plus 200 Km of Canberra city driving) and am stoked with the car, (7.5 ltres per 100 Km, better than my old Subaru Liberty!) and the Goodyear Fortera tyres.
I'm now back in Melbourne permanently and the Terror isn't my daily driver (used 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander with cheap chinese tyres from Jax) I just use it for my "every second weekend" 640 Km country drive to East Gippsland to visit my elderl...Read more
y mother. For distance driving, I couldn't be more pleased with the Goodyear Fortera's. the Ford dealer told me at the last (75,000 Km) service that they were shot, blah blah blah, in the hope that I'd buy new tyres from the dealership there and then, but as I wasn't born yesterday, I checked the tyres myself to see only even wear, and not even close to the tread blocks. Service Managers are obviously cut from the same cloth as car salesmen........ Now that I've cracked 80,000 Km I'll replace them as a set, even though I reckon I could get another 5K from the fronts, and 20K from the rears. Great tyres!1 comment
As a postscript, I was a little worried about buying a new set of Fortera's after reading that some dealers were quoting up to $350 per tyre, so I was pleasantly surprised just a moment ago when Adam ... Read more
from Bob Jane in Epping (Vic) came in with a quote of $215 per tyre, including all of the usual fitting and balancing, tyre disposal charges, etc. Great price for a great tyre!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent tyres
Had the tyres on Ford Territory TS brand new got 70,000 km over three years out of them. Rotated every 15,000 km kept tyre pressure at 40psi. A bit of off road driving but mainly highway. Limited towing of a 6x4 trailer with no issues. Had a sharp rock go through one tyre but was glued back in workshop and kept going fine.

Lasted 60,000km on first set
I think that 60,000km for a set of tyres is pretty good these days - they were the originals when I purchased the car from new. Happy with them so now on my second set and hope to get another 60,000kms. I have had the odd wheel alignment them but probably don't check the pressure enough.

poor performance
low tyre life very poor performance for the travelers out there might be ok for short runs in city but look for more
reliable life tyres if you like to caravan. I have never gotten less than 60.000klsout of tyres but these only did 43.000kls car still in warranty and Ford said tyres are shot

27,000 km and they are done
Original set lasted me 27,000 and so have the second. It seems to be the magic number. I have the titanium AWD diesel and have gone through 2 sets since new 4 years ago. Haven't even hit 60k yet. I keep the pressure under control as I bought a compressor to pump them up at home after the first set died. They wear on the inside and outside of the tyres. It's the family cat for picking up kids etc Total rubbish especially given the cost of them. don't buy them.

12,000 km used and the kumos still look new compared to the forterras at equal distance.

Great tyres
Had a 2007 ford territory ghia AWD petrol and had log fitted, for 5.5 years. Achieved over 70,000 km on the original set of Fortera tyres, same on the first replacement set, and fitted a third set before trading in on a 2012 ford territory titanium AWD diesel. The original Fortera tyres on the diesel have now done just over 69,000 km and I am looking at the Fortera tyres again.

No good anymore.
We had a fantastic run out of the original Fortera's from new with around 80K. Then tried Yokohama Geolanders and was annoyed with only 35K out of them. Went back to Fortera's thinking we would get a similar run as the original ones. Boy am I annoyed. Looks as though we'll get about 27K out of them. I check pressures fortnightly and had them rotated each 5-10,000K's. I heard they are now manufactured in China, which isn't always a bad thing, but in this case I reckon it's unfortunately hurting what was a good reputation. I certainly won't be back for another set. Poor form Goodyear.

Almost 100k out of the original set.
Bought an ex demo 2013 TS Territory petrol RWD with 8k on the clock. I have since clocked up about 1000km per week mainly open road Fwy driving. At the moment I've done 92k on the original set of tyres and they have almost worn down to the indicators. I check my tyre pressures fortnightly to monthly and maintain them at 38 psi. I'm amazed at how great these tyres are and am surprised at some of the reviews where people only get about 30k out of them. My set have 'Made in China' stamped on the side too. Anyways, I asked at my local tyre dealer how much for a replacement set and he quoted me $350 each for 235 55 18. I looked online on tyresales.com.au and can get them for just over $200 each!
Couldn't be happier with them!

On road @ Off road.
Very happy with the Goodyear Fortera, I drive a Ford Territory TS Rear wheel drive. I drive regularly between Coffs Harbour and Newcastle in N.S.W and find them a great all-round Tyre with Low road noise but still great Off Road also. Ready to buy my 3rd set.Just shopping around trying to find the best price . .

Terrible wear, comfortable ride
Only purchase if you have unlimited funds, as you will be replacing them regularly. Got 30,000k on my 2013 Ford Territory Titanium RWD diesel, with regular tyre pressure checks and inspections. Comfortable ride, decent handling, but nothing to write home about. And certainly poor value if they need to be replaced so often.

Wear too quickly
I got a set of Goodyear Forteras for my Territory diesel. After 27000 kms they have had it. I'm a good driver, pretty sedate, but 27000 when people are reporting 50000. Did Goodyear change factories to something cheaper? I don't know but I won't be going near these tyres again.

Original equipment on the Territory and rightfully so.
Had a set of Goodyear Fortera on my Territory SY AWD. They lasted 60,000km, including a mixture of city driving, highway use, and unsealed roads. They are an excellent tyre and, considering the size and weight of the Territory, they are very good in the wet. I spent a day at advanced driver training on the skid pan circuit and the Fortera equipped Territory out lapped Kluger, Camry, Prado, Hilux, et al. Hard to understand comments from another reviewer complaining about “road noise”. The Territory is an exceptionally quite car on the highw...Read more
ay, with muted wind noise from around the “A” pillar washing out most other sounds. The only slightly negative comment I can make is that the tyre started to ‘go off’ around 60,000km, somewhat before reaching the tread wear limit, with the steering becoming slightly vague. A new set of Fortera fixed that. Highly recommended for the Territory.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Noise -noise-noise and more road noise
Recently brought a ford territory with factory fitted good year fontera tyres all was fine on test runs around outskirts of city the problem started on the way home as we have to travel on poor quality rough bitumen roads which then turn into poor quality gravel roads, noise levels were fine no problem on smooth city roads hit the coarse bitumen now we start needing ear plugs 80/90 decibels hit the rough gravel 90/100 decibels totally unacceptable returned to dealer after test run with dealer around city area was told ford would not do...Read more
anything about noisy tyres currently working with dealer to change tyres they expect me to pay half the cost of replacement tyres do not buy a territory with goodyear fontera tyres if you live in the country with poor quality roads the road noise from these tyres is horendious & will damage your hearing great for town but a no no for the country very disappointed the car itself is brilliant pity about fords attitude it needs to learn a bit or i should say a lot about customer relations ianSimilar opinion? They are now made in china
The original good years I had on my territory were amazing. Got 70k in some fairly rough roads. They were made in Australia. The 2nd set were made in china ( as most tyres are now). They were cheap, $220 a tyre, but they lasted me 30K, less than half the mileage of the Aussie ones. Good year have made a big mistake. I've tried Firestone, made in Korea, not too bad, but the days of 80-90k are gone.
Cheap, quiet
Bad wear, bad quality

fairly good
i have found the fortera quite good so far they have been off road but not much. the grip seems good both on and off road and in wet conditions as well no compaints yet. interesting to see tyre wear however theay are on an outlander so rotation is a must. would consider buying again
as above good so far
there is a little noise but not a major drama

Good
They were generally good tyre. Lasted well, quiet on the car and seemed to have sufficient grip for the Ford Territory all wheel drive.
The tyres lasted well. Achieved 70000km. They seemed to have good grip and stability.
Can be expensive to replace
