Perfect for mum's with oversupply! Or sore Nipples
This pump saved me from my FOURTH round of mastitis - since buying it I haven't had it again!
As I have oversupply -
The suction motion allows you to use it on the other breast whilst feeding! Catching the extra milk meaning after each feed BOTH breasts felt softer. Now I don't have to wait till after a feed to pump!
Because there is no back and forth 'sucking' motion involved it's perfect for ladies experiencing painful nipple blisters/blebs or grazes (like myself!) as the pump doesn't rub back and for on the nipple due to its still latchi...Read more

Great for engorment
Quick to deliver, got this product soon after my little girl was born and managed to collect so much milk that leaked out the opposite side from where I was feeding my girl.
It amazingly stayed on and almost could hand pump from the device too!
I only ended up using this for the first 2-3months. After that my breast milk regulated and I did not need it anymore. Great for first time mums wanting multiple kids maybe? Not sure about mums with their last planned child.

Can't live without this. Best purchase.
Don't bother buying an expensive pump unless exclusively breast feeding. Thos was one of them late night purchases at 2am and now is my most used baby product. I have collected over 7 litres of milk and havent used my Medela swing since i bought this. I buy it for all my pregnant friends and they love it too!
I dont "leak" and it still catches alot of milk. I am now 7 months post partum and only use for the first feed in the morning and catch anywhere between 40-80mls however at one stage, i was easily collecting 200mls throughout the day! Honestly buy this product :)!

So fantastic for catching let down!
If you have a let down on your other breast while feeding, this product is for you! I have saved litres of milk from soaking into breastpads with this producy and have been able to get a good supply of spare milk in the fridge/freezer. Easy to use and clean and not expensive for what it is. Love it!

Great simple pump.
This pump is easy to use and even easier to maintain. Great pump for catching all the goodness of letdown on the side you're not feeding. Love the handy suction base to prevent spillage when you put it down. Not painful to attach either- gentle on nipples which is an essential.

The best manual breast pump that I ever use
I love this pump so much! Very convenient to use, you can feed your baby one side and use Haakaa pump other side
Perfect breast milk saver, hand free when using, just sit down and relex
Easy to clean, does not need to clean many parts as others
I recommend using this pump with stopper!

Hardly works
Doesn’t have strong enough suction.
Hardly enough milk to provide a snack after hours. Wouldn’t waste your money. Yes it’s cheap but I’m now in the market for another pump. This one is no good. As much as I like the simple concept I think I’m going to buy an electric one.

Game changer!
This is my my new best friend. Otherwise known as a godsend or game changer (for all of $30 with lid from super pharmacy in North Perth, who are equally amazing and deliver!)
You put this beauty on while feeding bub on the other side. It suctions on so you just set and forget (ok maybe hold the bottom a little in case bub kicks it)
I got 100ml the first time I used it! It usually takes me 20/30min to get 50/60ml and I thought that was a lot for me....
Do yourself a favour, if you're expressing, go and get one, well worth a try!! Saves time and your precious sleep and time cleaning all those pump parts.

Perfect for travel.
Solely bought this product as was going to a wedding that was quite a distance from home and would need to express on the way home.
It does take practice to get the hang of this pump.
It's easy to pour expressed milk out without spilling & to clean.
It's great for travel as you don't need to rely on batteries or having access to a power outlet. Having said that I still think my electric pump is more effective (maybe I'm just not using it right).

Better then my $200 electric pump!
AMAZING! Catches let down while Bub is feeding on opposite boob then continues to allow milk to flow while attached. I was able to express 150mls in 12mins and I now have over 2litres of breastmilk stored in the freezer after only 2 weeks of use.
Super easy to clean and use!
Only downside to it are the lids. One is a yellow cap to help keep it clean after being sterilised which can’t be used to keep milk from spilling as this lid doesn’t not seal shut. The flower stopper lid is designed to keep milk safe inside the pump however sitting t...Read more
his next to yourself on the couch when pumping will pick up any lint or hair and really doesn’t seem safe to then insert into the pump incase any dirt picked up goes into the milk and this lid also isn’t much fun to have around a toddler who tried to remove from the pump only to spill your liquid gold. So my summary is the pump is hands down AMAZING but whoever designed the “lids” isn’t very brightSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Amazing invention
Such a smart invention!
I can put it on to catch my letdown and get around 50ml per feed.
So comfy and easy to use.
I can hand express into it to get the flow started and end up getting 100ml faster than using a manual pump. Once you find the right level of suction it just flows!
Can go in the dishwasher but I find it makes t smell like the detergent I use. So i prefer to hand wash.
I bought two! So I can always have one ready to go.
The suction bottom has saved a few accidents already and I was surprised at how well the little flower stopper seals up the bottle.
100% recommend.

Great for letdown
Essential for breastfeeding mumma.
Catches letdown and creates suction to increase flow if needed.
Easy to use - once suctioned onto the breast by squeezing, the HaaKaa doesnt require any hands unlike most breast pumps.
When bub is done with one side, just unsuction by squeezing, and reposition on the other breast.
Or use 2 for "pumping" both breasts at once.
From time to time when a good suction has not formed, it can come off so beware of spillage.
Personally prefer the newer type with suction base so it can stick to the table and no a...Read more

Easiest way to build a milk stockpile
By far the easiest and least time consuming way to build a freezer stash of milk.Super comfortable and easy to use. Simple to clean as it is a single piece of silicone.
I use it on the opposite breast while my baby is feeding. It catches the let down and the suction keeps the milk flowing. I was surprised by how much I was able to collect, easily 50ml if my baby had not fed from that side recently!
I still have an electric pump which I used to stimulate supply in the early days and still use if I need to pump in place of a feed. I haaka...Read more
a won’t fulfill those jobs for me (though I’ve heard some people have success squeezing it to pump) but for collecting milk to freeze it is infinitely nicer than being hooked up to even the most comfortable electric pump.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Maybe I wasn't doing it right
I got this because I wanted to express while feeding baby, and my previous babies have had issues with breastfeeding. It was great sometimes and sometimes not. It gave the idea I could just attach it and it would 'do its job' but it wouldn't always use suction at all and would end up breaking the seal even if I was holding it myself. It might have been technique but even after watching movies and reading over and over I still couldn't get it perfect:/

Simple, Cheap, Effective
No need for an expensive 'gadget'...This one is simple, cheap and does the trick better then many others!
My partner is a midwife who recommends this particular model to clients and has used herself because it ticks all the boxes!
Tip: make sure you get the silicone stopper (sometimes come free with the pump) different to the lid which isn't meant to prevent leaks

Good product
Simple system, fast and cofortable to use. Easy to wash. Unfortunately I wasn't producing much milk so I only managed to get around 80ml.
It has a lid, good for storage. It's cheap and if you have a lot of milk it's well worth it. It's great that you don't have to plug or pump work buy itself once put on.

A great alternative pump
If you want to build up a stash of milk but don’t want the complexity or expense or fiddliness of a traditional pump, try the Hakaa. It really on works for me while feeding from the other side, but it’s comfortable, effective and easy to clean. So definitely worth a try - though if you need to regularly pump large quantities of milk, you’d be best with a traditional option.

Wish I had known about this sooner
I was skeptical about how this would work but for the price I thought I may aswell give it a go. Amazed at how well it works, like other reviews I use on the opposite breast when feeding to catch the milk that would normally be lost.
I only wish I had known about it sooner in the early breast feeding days!
Works as well as my expensive electric pump but much less hassle!

So simple
So easy and so simple. Suction it on and away you go! My electric breast pump has been sitting at the back of my cupboard since I purchased the haakaa. I purchased the original and now they have a larger size which I am considering purchasing. It's a game changer!

I feed my baby on both sides...how does the pump work? Do i use it on the opposite breast and then swap sides when baby swaps breats?
Also, will i still have enough milk in the 2nd breast when baby swap sides to complete for feed?

I’m trying to decide between the 100ml and the 150ml (the latter being a new addition to their range). I’m only a smaller busted woman (still just a B cup at the end of my pregnancy) but leaking and expressing colostrum just fine. Would 150ml tend to fall off the breast and just be unnecessary or do some of you wish your 100 was bigger?
