Re Haier XPB60-287S: We are supposed to clean the OVERFLOW FILTER every two months, but I can't get the compartment open when following the instructions on page 11 of the User Manual. Has anybody done it successfully?
Water not pumping out through drain hose when selected "drain". Making different unusual noise, cord connection from switch to valve is lifting. What is my problem ?
I had a similar problem with my old Hitachi twin tub. I found that turning the power off and on again seemed to reset it, and then, after I selected "Drain", the water would pump out normally. Hope this works for you!
Thanks for the reply, the pump has blown and have to wait for one from NZ to repair it.
Two complaints are 1) the lid keeps falling inside the bowl, and 2) the body rusts easily. Have these been rectified?
Can you spin a load while washing another at the same time
how to put the outer cover of the spin tub xpb60-2875 back on
Hello, it has a water inlet hose to connect. If you don't connect that hose, will it accept and work with water placed manually (with a bucket)? Thanks.
Yes, because the water inlet hose is basically manual. I had to turn the tap on at the inlet hose to fill it and turn it off to stop filling it, so it doesn't matter if you are filling via bucket or hose. You still have to turn the tap off and on.
Thanks. Automatic washing machines these days don't allow for manual water filling. May I please ask further questions. It has casters, are they allow a 360 degree turn, or just left to right movement? How do you find the spin feature? Thanks again.
I had one of these (actually I had 2 of the Haier). I don't remember them having casters but it was very easy to move, super light. (I also remember the lid falling in and splashing water on the floor a lot). I've always had twin tubs, except last machine was front loader but now looking for twin tub again - and yes you can manually fill a front loader through the soap dispenser (Beko) but time consuming and stressful. Pity not more choice for old school twin tubs.
Hi, I'd like to purchase this washing machine and would like to know if the RRP price of $299 is current and if so, do I make purchase on line or can I go to a store near me ( Denistone, 2114)?
regards,
Maritza.
I paid $400 at the end of 2013. This place had the best price at that time and I got free delivery because I was in metro area. http://www.electroseconds.com.au/browse-products/white-goods/top-load-washers/xpb60287s/. I purchased it online from them. I've bought a few things from them and always had good service. I was living in Melbourne at the time, but they're based in Sydney.
