Old fruit; Different meat cut named Rump steak; Staff registering items wrong
Apart from great specials - meat etc -, I have purchased 1x coconut fruit twice and it was completely mould inside. The Rump Steak cut we bought wasn't as close to the look and taste of Rump Steak cut. But the big fail for us was when I bought 2 similar Eye Fillet pieces (weighting very similar but different prices) and the staff registered 2x on same product as they were 'almost the same'. I hope they can take all of this as an advice - everybody likes be to be well looked after when shopping.

Beef fillet
Guys really disappointed about the beef fillet I purchased today. Very very poor quality. I have purchased lovely beef in the past but this particular time is terrible.

Would you be able to let me know the cut, brand and use-by date for the beef? That way I can pass on your feedback to our buyer and the store for investigation. It would also be great if you could provide us with either your order number, or the Harris Farm store you purchased it from. Any other information you have about why the beef wasn't up to standard would be really useful to us. Thanks!
Thanks for your response. The “brand” is so called “Harris farm economy beef eye fillet”.
I have actually kept the bag in which the beef has been cryovaced in. The beef was $22.99 a kg so total price... Read more

Please stop OVERLOADING the paper bags
We love Harris farm and have been shopping there for about ten years. The recent introduction of paper bags at the Mona Vale store we have welcomed (as much as we always reused and reused our plastic bags).
The new paper bags are good, however I am finding the irony in the words “reuse reuse reuse” plastered on the side of them as each week when I return home and have about 80% of the paper bags tear with the incredible weight of everything that is crammed into them.
I understand you are trying to limit the number of paper bags distribu...Read more
ted but please STOP overloading them. They break. I can’t reuse them as a result. And probably most annoyingly, the softer fruit and veg are squashed! Mona Vale store, please please please, stop overloading these bags, it defeats the purpose of the reusing movement!1 comment

Very convenient shopping
Overall very pleased with the order process and delivery. However, we received items packed in individual plastic bags for a lot of our cold foods. We try to be a plastic free household so this was disappointing, I'd heard that Harris didn't use any plastic for the online shopping which is why I chose to order from them. I know some people like their shopping separated but it would be nice to have the option. I think we had 4 or 5 bags for 7 items, all of these items would have be totally fine stacked in the box along with the fruit and veg.

I have used online grocery shopping before and been disappointed with the quality of fruit and vegetables. I decided to try Harris farm as i have a newborn and a toddler and struggle to do food shopping. Everything was perfect, delicious and fresh. I have just placed my second order. Many thanks. Laura

Fresh produce
I have been shopping at Harris Farm Mona Vale since the store opened.
I have no complaints a couple of small issues were happily attended to.
I have recently started ordering on line, which has been fantastic. It is a very user friendly & helpful delivery service. Items well packed & arrived within the time frame. I would definitely recommend & will continue to use this service. I only buy items from the large supermarkets not available at Harris Farm or Aussie Farmers.

I love the range and quality.I check weekly specials each week.I have on two occasions had pun nets of strawberries that didn't last a day,the only problem I have had.

Great Quality and fresh!
Great quality products. Fresh fruit and veg last throughout the week- this is important as I am time poor - along with everyone else. Really like receiving emails about market produce and recipes. The only problem is that I would prefer greater variety and reliability of organic foods.

Greed seems to have won them over!
Each time I go to Sydney one of my 'to do' things is a grocery shop at Harris Farms! I have often wished they had a branch in Adelaide. But on the last few visits I have noticed, in their Northern Beaches stores, the quality of what they have on offer has slipped considerably to the point where there now appears to be little difference between Harris Farms and the regular supermarket chains. The last time I was in Sydney, in November 2014, amongst other things, I purchased 2 Kilos of White Peaches from the Mona Vale Harris Farm store. Althoug...Read more
h very firm at the time, they were a good size, and I felt there was a possibility that they would suitably ripen over a few days.....It did not happen! They stayed bitter and rock hard and could not be eaten, and in the end they started to 'liquefy' on the outside and had to be thrown in the bin. This is just not good enough Harris Farms!!!! We need companies such as yourselves to do the right thing by producers, pay them a fair price for a quality product......... and give us consumers a good fair deal! The last thing we need is just another Woolworths/Coles/Aldi..... you don't have compete with them! You built your business up on quality, please don't let the greed factor take over and ruin what was once a lovely experience.1 comment

Terrible service!
I own a catering business here in the Northern Beaches and have had an unfortunate day with your team. I order strawberries on a regular basis and purchase produce from you as you guarantee that it's fresh on a daily basis. During the day I mind my son who is unwell always in and out of hospital so often I come in on the evenings and have no issue to order for events I cater for. Today I had a issue at the dee why location, they were literally trying to charge me more than they charge the customers which is myself. I was in shock. They were off...Read more
ering a tray of your gourmet strawberries at $3 for a punnet and apparently since I was a caterer needed to pay an extra $10. They said it would cost $55 and this was after speaking to the manager which last week after I paid for 4 trays of strawberries decided that he needed to charge my credit card without my permission and extra $15 per tray. That is stealing. I thought I'll give him the benefit of the doubt....he may of had a bad day and go back again to realize they do not want me as a customer there. So I called you guys. The lady on duty called the manager and he offered your gourmet strawberries at the price of $43 per tray with 2 plunnets for free. The strawberries I do are dipped in chocolate and specially decorated. I do this to raise money for our very sick son who suffered from a stroke. So all profit goes towards him and his ongoing therapy. My catering events I order through you guys as well. I typically spend over $2,000 at Harris farm throughout your locations in the northern beaches per week. I'm harassed every time I go in like I'm stealing when I ask if they can provide wholesale as I am a local catering business. I feel like a criminal. It's an awful feeling as I'm honestly trying to just help my son and offer my customers and clients the very best whom I constantly refer towards you guys as many people don't know apparently that you offer fresh fruit and veg picked from the farm on a daily basis. They think your just another Coles and woollies with more expensive prices. Today the lady on duty when I came into the monavale location had 1 tray there after I asked for 2, 2 times on the phone, she grabbed another tray. I looked over the strawberries and 1/2 of them were moldy and rotten. She brought out 3 trays and it was the case where there was no more from what I understood and that's it. I then asked since there's ones that are good in the punnets and some that are rotten and not sell able towards your customers anyways if I can mix the punnets with the good ones so I can get 2 trays. I understand it's an unusual request but it would be unable to be sold anyways. She said yes. So we began doing this for 20 minutes once it was done then I got lectured by this lady that was the manager on duty saying next time I need to order during the day because now she has no idea what to do with this mess and these ruined punnets. I said I do the best I can. Not wanting to share my story of why I do this as a pity story. I stated they were unsellable and you agreed. She then lectured me like I was a terrible teenage customer causing a riot in the store. I was so disheartened I left without paying for the strawberries and the food I was purchasing for my family. Sadly my son this week needed that money that was going towards him and those strawberries were needed for tomorrow morning, Wednesday as they were going to be dropped off to clients. That money was going to pay for his neurologist appointment later in the day which is $400. So now my son is left still having seizures on a daily basis due to a large cyst in his brain because I'm a bad customer to you guys. I'm heart broken you can offer such a service and treat people who need this and just want to make an honest living like they are robbers. Sonia Yeager Captain's wife catering3 comments

Delivery to Palm Beach for holiday accommodation
We were arriving late from Melbourne and and driving up to Palm Beach so we needed some groceries to make sure we had a late meal on arrival and the staples for our holiday. We ordered online and Harris Farm Markets delivered high quality delicious produce and followed our delivery requests to the letter. I also think the imperfect picks is a great way to stop so much waste and to support local farmers with all their produce. Please come to Melbourne sooon!! Thank you.
