Worst online company to deal with
Wow, Harvey Norman can not get it together. You cannot find someone to speak to, their online chat is a joke as no one responds. I have purchased many things over the years but will not purchase again after this experience. How can they get this so wrong. Ordered and have not received a response, found out my local store has the goods in stock but they made me pay for shipping even though they were available there for click and collect. omeone, how can NOT PROVIDE A CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER OR WAY TO CONTACT YOU FOR ORDERS, this is honestly the most failed system. Hopeless wait for a vacuum
Ordered a vacuum 5 April, now the 19 and still waiting, first they couldn’t find my, then they wanted to give me something else, now my ordere in intransit somewhere .Pathetic service

Took order even though no stock, now can't get an answer from them
I ordered a puzzle online, their website said they have stock of multiple types. They took my money, 24hrs later I get an email saying the puzzle is on backorder but shouldn't be long. A week later I haven't heard a thing. I have tried to contact them to find out how long the back order would be or could we swap for a puzzle that is in stock but I can't even get onto anyone (sat on their chat for over 3hrs and no one replied). Now reading all these reviews it seems I will be flat out getting a refund. BAD BAD processes HN! The same thing happened with Kmart for part of an order, they notified me and processed the refund automatically - I didn't have to do a thing. NEVER using HN online again!

Worst service and process I've ever seen!
Order online a dryer. Payment went though and I never heard from them again. They make it impossible get in touch with them. Dryer never showed up and now demanding refund! not even number to call and talk to someone! This is meant to be Harvey Norman!

Hopeless online shopping experience, never again
I ordered Sonos speaker stands with 1 hour pick and collect mid March and it is almost four weeks now and haven't seen the item or pick up order confirmation. They just took my money straight away though. rd response that they have too many queries at that time but some will contact me in next 24 hours about my order and as per Harvey Norman usual standard no one called and it has been more then a week now. Finally I contacted the store where I was suppose to pickup my order in an hour and the guy said they don't have that item in stock for ages and he was not sure how online portal allowed me to place an order which showed me that the order will be ready to pick up in an hour. The store guy also said he will recommend me to just cancel the order as he dont think they will have stock for another atleast 6 weeks unless I wanted to wait for that long but again that's was only his guess. Now i have been chasing Harvey Norman to cancel my order and refund my money more then 10 days but till date no luck. Lying thieves
I ordered a drone online 2 weeks ago and was given an express post tracking number on the 6th. The drone never turned up but I have been slugged for it on my credit card. I have tried to contact Harvey Norman online support but just keep getting the brick wall treatment. No one replies! But I can't even get this information to Harvey Norman online as they don't even answer their online chat or email or whatsapp. I sat for 5 hours on the chat page waiting to be connected (I had it running in the background while watching netflix) and nobody even answered. Avoid dealing with HN online like the coronavirus! In future I'll ask the nearest store to just order it in for me. No tracking - it's archaic / stone henge
They don't give you any information other than it's shipped! We placed the order on Easter Monday- it arrived at Australia Post handling centre on Thursday, 3 days to move it from the store to the depot and we paid $14 for the privilege.
We received a tracking number from Australia post on Friday, that’s how we found out that it arrived at their depot on the Thursday, saying it’s way!!!
No tracking in 2020, come on Hervey get with it or Amazon will annihilate you in the same way as you did to all the provincial electrical stores in the 1990’s.

Never again
Ordered fitness equipment then was notified a few days later that they were not able to get stock for a few months. Requested a refund and have now waited 4 weeks without a refund for hundreds of dollars. Keep blaming Covid-19 but suspect this has more to do with poor processes. Not a legitimate online shopping location. Stick with competitors that actually know how to run an online business.

waiting for refund for a month now
I’ve ordered four boxes of surgical face masks from Harvey Norman online, when they indicated that guaranteed that the product will be delivered in fourteen days. However, it has been a more than a month, and I haven’t heard anything back from them. pened. They claimed multiple times that they will process my request every time, nothing has happened. I have tried calling the shop but they said is online purchase and they don’t deal with it. It’s separate systems and I can only contact them via online which is whatsapp /messager/ or online chat. Moreover, on several occasions, when I’ve successfully made the call, the customer service claimed that they were busy, would call back in half an hour, but never actually made the call. I have been enduring such incompetency and unwillingness to respond to customer’s request for over two weeks now. It’s really a waste of time dealing with them. The whole experience of waiting for a purchase that simply won’t come, and a refund request that takes forever to process. I have lost my hope for getting my money ($400) back.Similar opinion? Where is my microphone?
On 4 April I ordered a microphone from HN online- in stock. I need this item for working from home. 13 days later I am .. waiting. There has been no notification as to the status of my order. Allowing for Easter, it has now been 8 days. I tried to "chat" but there is no response. They could at least notify me of a delay and come clean.

Dont buy product care
Sent off computer to be repaired under product care. 6 weeks now and told will be 4-6 more. After regular follow ups item has been forgotten, approvals not passed on and parts not available. With Harvey Norman selling this product i would expect a genuine repair procedure but they have had it 6 weeks now and still cant repair it. I bought a brand name computer form Harvey Norman and expected them to back it up. Product care don't care, Harvey norman dont care and seem to think that its all ok to wait this long. They dont know how to fix it so keep pushing this around to different people. Anyway off to consumer affairs now to report them.

Will not order online again
I have often shopped with our local Harvey Norman store but because of our current lockdown because of Covid 19 and being over 70, decided to look online for stock locally for a TV. No stock in our small store in Maclean but available in Grafton 40 kms away, so decided to order online. The delivery charge was calculated at $29.95, so went ahead with online order. h April, I went down to local store to enquire if it had been left there. I was given a phone number to ring after they did some investigations. The TV had been sent from Bundall in Qld and been left at our local post office with no notification. Rang HN complaints 1800 number, it diverted to Grafton store and subsequently that Manager is trying to sort out a refund for delivery charges that never happened, through no fault of their own. Do not buy online!!!
Do not buy anything online!! 3 weeks ago I made a purchase online for something that was “In stock”.
I then received an email a week later to say there is a delay with my purchase as the item is on “back order” and can take anywhere from 4 weeks onwards to get in stock and then add additional time for delivery.
I have tried contacting them and you do not get an answer.
Harvey Norman should not show stock available online if they do not have it!!!
Who knows when or if I will get my order. I will never purchase from them again.

Excellent Customer Service and After Sales Help
I bought a mobile phone on 3/4 from Harvey Norman, Cleveland. Stephen helped me so much, transferring the data from my old phone to the new one and offering advice as I am not technical at all. Since then he has helped me twice when the phone wanted to do big updates. Hopefully I won't have to bother him again but he was so nice and patient. I would also like to commend Glen from the same shop as he was very knowledgeable and helpful when I bought a new TV, also on 3/4.

Disgusting and unlawful practices
Contacted by accounts less than 24 hours after installation of carpet and told I was 48 hours overdue for payment. Explained I had been in telephone contact with staff during the 24 hours and nobody had asked me to make any payment as outstanding matters needed to be resolved. Was told legal action would be taken if I didn’t pay immediately. I paid to avoid having any more drama with the liars who work at Harvey Norman. They had no right to threaten legal action. Don’t give this organisation your money. Staff were rude, abusive and lied repeatedly. I’m about to renovate a kitchen and furnish a beach house, that’s $40K I’ll be spending elsewhere.

Good Prices and staff
People love to hate on Harvey Norman but last couple years when I price check they are always quite good and staff are always helpful.

Non existent customer service. Essentially fraud.
Placed order for item I was told was in-stock (it wasn't).
Cancer patient, can't wait that long, agreed to cancel v/ online chat, nothing has happened since, unresponsive to ALL enquiries.

Why oh why didn't I read the reviews first. Like all before me I've had the same poor service from this dodgy company. Very slow service, no number to call, no one will reply to their online message service, blaming covid for their delays. Never again.
