Saddened
Booked our holiday before the corona virus. Over 3 months ago. Now all these places are being closed, Israel being one. Our flight was cancelled out of Israel, but the flight there and the tours in that country have not yet been cancelled. So we have to go or cancel and not get a refund. I’m really not looking forward to going on my holiday anymore. Being quarantined in a foreign country is really making me nervous. But the fine print says you cannot cancel due to a pandemic. . Believe it or not that $10,000 was hard for me to earn. Whoever added the no cancellation because of a pandemic should be kicked in the teeth. But this effects the small business I work for if I’m quarantined, my family is worried.. so it effects more than just me. We booked our holiday on The Ghan through helloworld. Everything was arranged for us, and the accommodation was excellent. All additional tours were organised and trouble free. We will book through helloworld again.

Don't bother
Waited a week and a half for a response to me request for flights and accomodation. Nothing! Went elsewhere. These guys are on commission so don't expect them to be around for too much longer.

Excellent customer service.
Booked a cruise and have received excellent customer service, answering any question promptly via email or in person. Haven't been on the cruise yet but I expect it will be wonderful.

No idea how to organise a holiday
We are going in a royal Caribbean cruse at Christmas and the rooms are not sorted and the boarding pass system did not work very well. One sale rep said one thing the next days something else it sit not an easy Holliday experience

Go straight to the airlines.
Cant agree more with a previous reviewer. Booking through an agent gives me nothing but issues. I made the mistake of booking flights to London through Hello World Moe. All it did was make my life more difficult. Rude sales people provided terrible customer service if I needed to make any changes and even when I tried to purchase an additional ticket!!! Never again. Just go straight to the airline.

Disgusting
My inexperince daughter booked her first flights at Hello world North Richmond. Gaurada had them for $735 she got charged $ 950 she is only young thought the flights had gone up. I called the manager to complain she stated she had done her booking cheapest flight $850 and $100 booking fee my daughter said she wasn't told about the booking fee being $100 dollars. They took advantage of a young inexperience girl shame on you.

Expensive than other agents and cant use helloworld giftcard in helloworld website
Cant use Helloworld giftcard in helloworld website or through phone, what the hell? so you have no other option other than booking in the store. So went to the store they are charging more than other travel agents and $11 on top per head unbelievable.

Overseas travel bookings the easy way!
I chose helloworld to book my first ever overseas holiday. helloworld at Semaphore were very helpful. I dealt with Liz who was patient and understanding and managed to work out an itinerary which allowed us to do all the things we wanted to do on our holiday. A last minute change to our itinerary was met with a positive response and Liz made it happen without fuss. I would definitely recommend helloworld at Semaphore if you are looking to book travel.

No support little service
Poor service considering Hello world Tuggarah are in a service industry. Attention to detail missing, not transparent with bookings and the client does all the follow up. Poor communicater also. I could not recommend.

Terrible communication
Poor service and communication for sure they don’t call you back when you have asked for a quote. Could not give me an itinerary of my trip before booking. Once I walked in to pay the lady was shocked that I even came back and had no idea what to do or prices to pay. Post paying nil further communication despite requesting an itinerary multiple times. Not happy and we haven’t even left yet

Misleading And Over Charges With No Explanation Or Resolution
Extremely unhappy with Hello World. Over charged and refused credit, told would get a credit on account which has deemed useless as they have lied about travel services they no longer can provide. Still will not provide me with full credit. Abusive staff. Management ignores the issue. Do not use this company!

This is the reason I don’t book flights through travel agents
Holiday was booked through helloworld Elanora by other family members. After being made redundant and not being able to take the flight I had to call them (11/02/19) to see what the options were for either cancellation or rescheduling. They said they will call me back and let me know. No phone call back, and without confirming with me they cancelled my flight tickets (14/02/19). I now have to wait for a refund which I was only told today in could take up to 12 weeks. ....Totally unacceptable.
The travel agent ‘expert’ has made other mistakes with other family members holiday details and and has been passing the blame.

Haven't left yet and already not happy
My wife decided to use hello world to book our family holiday (us and 2 children (8 and 2) to France via Singapore. Checked out itinerary 3 weeks prior to leaving and noticed our agent had booked us for a 12:15am flight when we were still supposed to be sleeping in the hotel (and had therefore charged us and paid for an extra, now useless, night - at $400 p/night!)

I would like to know how they can charge $120 extra than all other travel agents and Qantas themselves.
Went to book and was told there was a service fee, which would be $120 more than price quoted by Qantas and all other travel agents. Is it because were up north? Shouldn't be allowed.

Poor communication and problem resolution ability
I used Helloworld for the first time for my Family trip in January. It was a very pleasant experience in the beginning, and I obtained my tickets with no problems. However, the excursion I booked had a portion cancelled due to weather, and was told by the tour to contact my agent for a refund. I did so, and was told by HW it would take 2-4 weeks, as the agency they bought the excursion from must respond. It has now been 5 weeks and no response from whatever agency Helloworld is waiting on. rld agents lack of follow up and communications to me. It seems they rely one email and then feel content to wait, and simply say 2-4 weeks. I haven't heard from the Helloworld agent for over 3 weeks, and feel I am no longer important to them. Their ability to resolve problems and customer service is very poor. Change fee higher than direct booking
I booked domestic Virgin flights with HelloWorld. To change flights directly would have been $90 change fee plus difference in flight cost. Helloworld charges $102 plus another $10 service charge per ticket (I was told Virgin charge them that amount). There was no benefit in using Helloworld and ended up costing me more. I had to go with helloworld to change the flights as they were originally booked through them. I won't use them again.

Awful.
Terrible service. Was quoted a price for Japan holiday only to find out later I could book the same holiday myself for around $800 cheaper. The owner of this company is also Andrew Burnes who is a Liberal party heavyweight and I will not give ONE cent of my hard earned money to him or this company. Especially when they seem to have no problem giving free holidays to their mates in politics.

The QANTAS flights that I booked and paid for have been cancelled, so I want a refund. I have tried to call Helloworld's Online Team on 1300722501 but they do not answer the call. After listening to ringtone for 3 hours, they kill the call without answering. I did that twice today. Six hours of listening to ring tone for nothing!!! How can I talk to someone at Helloworld?

How long does it take for hello world to refund monies for cancelled flights due to the covid 19 outbreak
Are the monies directly deposited to the client or are the returned to hello world to then be distributed.
All flights were through qantas - one airline

Usually 8 weeks but because of the high demand I won’t be getting my refunds for 12 weeks.

Key point: If airline cancelled flight, you are entitled to a full refund, less admin costs from Helloworld, paid $1270 for a flight to go Adelaide to Dublin flying Qatar. Qatar cancelled 27/03/2020 for flight 07/04/2020. I am not satisfied that I was told I should receive refund by 05/05/2020. I am not satisfied with that answer, hence I have arranged a chargeback with my credit card, for the full amount. I am not interested in forward credits. Who knows, what the case be the future. A refund means I am still in control.The admin costs Helloworld is about $130.00
