Long and complicated refund process. extremely slow, no communication on their side. 3 months and counting for 96$!!!!
My former employer reopened an account for me at hesta without me knowing it ( hesta was my superannuation fund that I closed a few years back) for paying a due after a review. 120$ was paid and hesta started taking fees on it straight away. I contacted them to freeze and cancel my account and ask for a refund of the fees.. after many calls and contradictory information that made me loose more time I put a formal complaint, that granted me a 96$ refund . On my online account my balance is weirdly still going down to 80$ for an unexplained reas...Read more
on ( maybe a bug According to the agent??)I sent all the paperwork by mail as requested for a refund over a month ago sent an unanswered e mail for follow up, waited on the phone for a larger part of 30 minutes for the agent to check my file, and another time no straight answer. They are still in the 90 days delay accorded by a law so why please a soon to be former customer. I don’t understand the delay that seems to be a good reason for them to take a little bit more of my money.. i guess they are good when your money goes in but from my experience they do everything to temporise when they have to pay. I definitely do not recommend them. Big company with slow process and an extensive treatment time with poor transparency for customers.. that is what I will remember them for.

Many years with HESTA and with Excellent customers service. HESTA where you can trust your super fund plus easy online access .I am fully aware for the challenging time due to Covid19 and Thank you HESTA for looking after my super and investment with best returns. bad resonse reguarding super release
hesta super do not go with them all people at hesta tell different stories put in a claim for my husband who can not work anymore it is only a small amount started the application on the 22nd january no one rings back it is awful for a big company ready to take to current affair

Not sure i made the right move
I also picked this fund due to the good rating. I feel the site is not up to date compared to other funds and i tried to make a switch on what i found was the last day for that 1 only per week option and the site crashed so i now have to miss getting my funds into the market for another week.
Sadly no response to my query as to why this could happen without any backup or possible fix since it was a system issue.
Lucky it's Easter and only an extra 3 market days i think.
Have to say, customer service is awesome. Super lovely staff.

Good on line experience
Apprx 12 years, and the growth under normal market conditions have been extremely good. You can track your supa thru the net on their site. It is a very easy process.

Helpful Hesta.
I've been with Hesta for nine years now.
Any time I've had a query I've found that Hesta's staff have been very friendly and helpful and resolved my query.
I also found the same when they set up my Transition to Retirement fund.

Great Fund
I first joined HESTA in 1990. For a while I went to another fund because this one wasn't available with that employer. I came back as soon as I was able & have never had a problem with anything. All withdrawals have been received in the 5 day processing time including the recent lump sum request.
When the market settles I will be transferring the lump sum back to HESTA. Staff have always been polite & willing to help plus I earn far more in interest than I would ever get from a bank.

Cancelled lump sum withdrawal application
I applied for a lump sum withdrawal of my super over two weeks ago because I am eligible. Today I rang to find out what has happened to it. I was advised they cancelled it without informing me and without an explanation. I was unaware of this until I rang. My super balance has dropped significantly since I applied two weeks ago. They advised they would get back to me within 7 business days regarding this matter. Meanwhile they still have my money and I don't know why because they are not entitled to it.

Regret joining this super fund.
I joined Hesta last year hoping that this trusted industrial fund will be more beneficial for me as a nurse.
I had also did rollover all my existing super to this fund and I am really regretting my decision
When covid19 pandemic started just before share market crash in order to save my superannuation I have changed my investments into cash instead of default pool and was shocked to find out that Hesta only proceeded with my transfer 11 days later. In this intensive stock market crash I have lost around 5% of my superannuation.

It appears as though like many I have been left waiting after receiving both ATO confirmation and Hesta confirmation of release. My last communication with Hesta was via phone call on the 29th where I was told by your customer service representative that it was due for release on that day. Still nothing has been received and no change in transaction listing on my Hesta online account. Why have other funds been able to accommodate for the guidelines in processing times. At no point have I been told that there is a concern with verification or incorrect details? Why has it not been processed? When I asked if I could confirm my details I was told that this was not possible as you would only follow the details submitted during the application with MyGov those details are correct, why the delay?

My super early release was approved on 21 april by ATO still haven't received any sms Notifications from hesta neither fund in my account. While I check my super fund total amount is still there, they haven't even started processing it. It's been now 8 working days. Really struggling to pay my bills, still waiting for my fund..
