Hi, the Orange Alarm light is constantly on. We've cleared all excess frost etc, but it's not made any difference alarm light wise. It is set to just over Mid temperature wise. Is this an indication that the freezer is on it's way out?

Angela,
Yes the warning light indicates that the compressor is struggling to maintain the set point. When mine went, I turned it off for 1/2 hr and turned it back on. A couple days later the warning light came back on. I had it replaced under warranty.

My freezer has humid at the frontal exterior case is it normal or something is wrong because i just bought like 2 weeks ago?

It's normal for this to happen. I live in the tropics and every chest freezer I've owned has done the same thing. Even fridges can do this. As long as there's no fault or warning light on and it is keeping contents frozen, it's fine. Also, take notice how long it's running each cycle as you may need to adjust the temperature setting.
If it's cycling on and off frequently then turn the setting higher because it'll generally mean it's not cooling the freezer well enough each cycle.
If it seems to be running for to long before cycling off, then touch the dial down a bit because it'll generally mean it's cooling things too much.
I have mine set at the half way mark all the time, which has been recommended to me by my electrician.

Have you tried turning fridge off at the power plug, wait ten minutes then turn back on

Sorry about the delay. For reasons only micro soft would know, the email from product review was in my junk folder.
Anyway, the only thing I would do if Klm's suggestion doesn't work, is to call Hisense about it. This shouldn't happen at all really unless there's an intermittent power supply issue, and by the sound of it, it's inside the freezer if it is.

Hi Okoh,
I'm not quite sure what you're asking but here goes...
The alarm light comes on, to tell you that the compressor is not able to keep the freezer at the temperature you've set it to.
The light goes out (I think) when the temperature setting has been reached again.
In my case, I turned my freezer off for 30 minutes to see if it would reset - it didn't, so I contacted Hisense to start a warranty claim process as my freezer was just inside the warranty period.
A lady from Hisense Australian office, explained to me that this model freezer is not worth repairing so they replace with a new one. This happens via the retailer you purchased it from.
If your freezer is outside the warranty period, maybe you can get a refrigerator mechanic to give you a quote to repair the fault. But that's your decision to make, since the price of a brand new freezer may be the same cost!

Why is the green running light not working the orange light that says power is on but the green light is not on that should be on?

does the green light only indicate when the compressor is running to bring the temp down to the desired level ? If you have just plugged in the freezer & the green light is not on then there could be a problem.. We hardly open our freezer once loaded so have not noticed the green light. No expert but hope this helps

Hello. the green light only comes on when the temperature goes below the certified degree (18 degrees) now it is resting. put in say a packet of frozen peas and it should come on. OR lift the lid and do an imaginary search around, close the lid and it should come on. if it is freezing the food, maybe the light connection has come loose in transit when bought home. i noticed there was not much packing around mine except for the mock angle iron (cardboard) corners, just very thin polystyrene sheets. hope this helps.

As per the manual, 'when you stop running temporarily, please turn the temperature control dial in the direction of OFF'. Have a play with that and see if it resets.

Turn on the fast freeze ( orange light) the red light should go off after an hour. And turn off the fast freeze an hour or so after that.
