Hi Faith, depends what kind of noise it is making ? When the freezer is cooling, the compressor, which is typically at the back of the freezer near the bottom, makes a low, gentle humming noise.
Thank you for your reply Jasmine, yes it's just a low gentle humming noise that isn't constant but goes for a minute or two every 30 minutes, I'm glad it's normal lol thank you so much for the reassurance

I tried to call this number and I am just listening to a recorded message that repeats itself over and over again. It doesn't allow me to get in touch with a customer service rep.
Jasmine F.Hisense
Hi Pippa we do not have calls waiting in the queue so you should be able to get through. None of the Hisense Chest Freezers are Frost Free. Frost/ice may build up. If it is too much, lower the temperature.

How many hours can it last when freeze before the block start melting?

How many days can the ice block go when their is power failure ( Nigeria) power goes on and off
Shitabey. Don't worry, the power here in Aust. isn't always reliable either. But, recently another power outage happened at my place for 12hrs and all the frozen food and ice blocks in myfreezer were still solid frozen. I did not open the door at all during the power outage. I also did not open the door on my main refrigerator for the whole time and the food (milk etc.) were still fine when the power returned.
One thing to keepin mind though. Probably best to switch off at the wall socket, the freezer/ fridge when the power goes out. Wait until the power supply returns then switch it back on (if you're at home at the time that is). Doing this will ensure the possible surge of electricity when the power supply comes back on, doesn't fuse/ damage your freezer/ fridge components. This can happen, same as when lightening strikes the power grid and burns things out. So it's just a precautionary thing I do for myself.
U said u never opened the door, so what if I need to take out some important things from the freezer so what will happen. I have a thermocool chest freezer and so far is able to block it takes like 5 days before I will see no traces of ice block but it will still be very cold. Can hisense do the same.

If your power is now restored it should go away once it’s at it’s colder setting

If the light doesn't go out after a few hours, then it means there's an issue with the freezer and best to call Hisense as they've offered.

Hi, the Orange Alarm light is constantly on. We've cleared all excess frost etc, but it's not made any difference alarm light wise. It is set to just over Mid temperature wise. Is this an indication that the freezer is on it's way out?
2 answers
Angela,
Yes the warning light indicates that the compressor is struggling to maintain the set point. When mine went, I turned it off for 1/2 hr and turned it back on. A couple days later the warning light came back on. I had it replaced under warranty.

Does the running light need to be on all the time or only when the compressor is running. What temp is good for the freezer, my running light goes off then later on will come on.

I threw mine out as it was wormlike a fridge instead of a freezer. A lifespan of 4 years. I wont get a hisense again.

I have the hisense 145lt. tucker box, At the front I have 3 lights, Running, Alarm and Power, should the power and the running lights be on all the time, how can I check its temp. First time owning a freezer so not sure what the temp inside should be Thankyou.
2 answers
Yes your power and running lights should be on if power is switched on to the unit. You can buy a fridge/freezer temperature gauge for a few dollars if you want to check its set correctly
should the running light stay on or only when the compressor cuts in as mine is not on all the time comes on now and agan

My freezer has humid at the frontal exterior case is it normal or something is wrong because i just bought like 2 weeks ago?
2 answers
It's normal for this to happen. I live in the tropics and every chest freezer I've owned has done the same thing. Even fridges can do this. As long as there's no fault or warning light on and it is keeping contents frozen, it's fine. Also, take notice how long it's running each cycle as you may need to adjust the temperature setting.
If it's cycling on and off frequently then turn the setting higher because it'll generally mean it's not cooling the freezer well enough each cycle.
If it seems to be running for to long before cycling off, then touch the dial down a bit because it'll generally mean it's cooling things too much.
I have mine set at the half way mark all the time, which has been recommended to me by my electrician.

I can’t open the door of my hisense freezer HR6CF146. Intermittently it opens then it is stuck tight. Any ideas?
2 answers
Paul,
My freezer is the same... I think it's something to do with the following, but not a scientist so may be off the track.
When the lid is opened warm outside air rushes in and when the lid is reclosed, that warm air immediately shrinks in the much colder environment which creates a vacuum inside that makes it difficult to reopen straight away. But you may need to fact check me there. That's the only thing I can think of. In which case this is normal and I can remember the same thing happening with a much larger and older deep freezer I used to have, especially after I replaced the seals on it.
I think you’re right. I gently jimmied it open with a lever, cleaned the seals and it’s been ok since.
