Bought the Holman 30 from Bunnings. Lasted 9 months. Bunnings offered replacement second one lasted 6 months. Absolute rubbish. Plastic useless garbage. Wouldn’t buy anything that has the name Holman on it.

Bought Holman hose 4 yrs ago for front yard and used very little approx. 100 times. This was the second Holman in which the spring broke. Took apart the 1st hose reel and noticed that a number of important parts were made of plastic. You would think that after so many failures the product parts would be upgraded .rang the company but they were not interested. Forget this product it's made to break easily even if you treat it gently. Regards plastic components

Have only had this hose reel for nearly 3 years (purchased Bunnings 22/5/2017. It has been working well with only a few minor retracting issues, and a bit of splitting of the unit on the top.
Went out today to do my watering and the whole unit has collapsed and is now hanging. The rod that holds it together has actually bent thus causing the collapse and maybe the splitting had something to do with it. Am going to buy another ($134) so as to use the same wall mount.
Hope I get a bit more wear out of this one otherwise will try a different brand.

Bought 2, 1 for front and 1 for back, both were ok till warranty ran out then failed to retract, 1 stopped feeding evenly on spool. Threw both in the bin and bought 2 hoselink reels, perfect. Will never buy holman again. Total waste of money !!

Bought one of these just over 12 months ago, was always careful when retracting hose back but it still managed to stop retracting like so many other reviewers have stated here. Fortunately I had the receipt and bunnings swapped it no problems. Look elsewhere, I would not recommend.

I bought one of this 3 months back and nozzle start leaking first slowly,then badly enough that i had to swap it from bunnings(which they are happy to).Then again after a month,it start leaking badly from the portion when its connected to the tap. I dont understand why they sell such poor quality product when customers are just going to get them returned anyway.

The 3 yr old model was very good and sturdy so I thought I’d by a second one for the other side of house. Bad idea.
Rang Holman up and the reason that was given to me was COST CUTTING ! . This is being returned to Bunnings today

Bought from Bunnings, no surprise there and got junk for top dollar, two months old and will not retract, sick to death of paying top price at Bunnings and getting crap

Just outside 2 year warranty and unit fails to fully retract. Unit has only been rarely used.Apparently it has lost its tension and this is unrepairable. I believe this unit is not fit for service.

Holeman, our date says 17/41 and today it has stopped retracting. We bought 2 and installed one soon after purchase and one a year after we bought it. The first one installed is still retracting. Is it still under warranty, before I start looking for a receipt??

The rewind mechanism won't move along the whole length of the drum so that the hose is only wound onto one side. Its faded badly and looks crumbly already. A very expensive buy considering this is only the start of its second summer in use

Massive pressure drop. Started leaking from unit. Couldnt work out why it wouldnt retract. I think the main spring has broken. Now its just an expensive normal garden hose. O well. No receipt.

Purchased 2 and I am unhappy with the quality. If you look at the photo you will see that the drum rubs on the notched belt. The side is not rigid so distorts and once the belt ages and loses its flexibility will easily break and it is not user replaceable.
Also Holman on their site have a video of how to replace hose if needed. This is no longer the case as the hose is crimped so the video should be removed.

Had it more than 2 years but obviously not designed to last. Bracket rusting - hose gets jambed - gun is made cheaply and broken - top cover wont close - tug of war beyond 20m - hose bulging in spots - In future will avoid cheap crap from Holman!

Less than twelve months. Hardly used Spring has failed. Pull it out the box and noticed how cheaply it is made. Keep your receipt you will need it. I didn't.

I have made the mistake of buying 2 of these retractable hoses, one for my backyard and the other one for my pool area. I misplaced my receipt and after about 5 months, both are no longer retracting the hose.
Terrible product.

We purchased this unit just over 2 years ago and because of travelling, only installed it and started using it in January this year. The unit has over the months got worse when it comes to retracting the hose to now not retracting at all. It looks as the plastic housing the spring has broken away. Considering it has only been in use for 10 months, but out of warranty due to being unopened and in storage for nearly 16 months, we are less than impressed with the quality and standard of this unit.

Bought this to replace my previous Holman 30Mtr retractable which lasted a couple of years hassle free, but this new one doesnt retract as good and never fully rewinds all of the hose without several attempts of tug of war.

Just buy a decent one. These things are no good.
I bought two and both have cut water pressure in half, which is bad if you already have low pressure .
Just no.
