Love it !
This really helped with putting moisture back in the air. The winter time makes it very dry in the house and this really helps us sleep more soundly. We wake up far more refreshed. We like the timer feature and it is extremely quiet. They state that the tank lasts 'up to 60 hours'. That must me on the lowest output setting. We can get right at 16 hours at the highest setting. Not a problem though. I don't really trust the handle so I carry it upside down until I get to the base. This also helps keeping drops of water from escaping onto the floor. can't stress enough how quiet it is. Just bought a second unit for downstairs.

Poor Construction
It was good the first few weeks but after two returns I've had it. The water container cracks and leaks so easily spilling water on the appliance and causing the power of the house to trip. Same fault on different units. This was my concern even before I bought it which is why I got the extended warranty and I was exactly right. The plastic is too brittle and cracks too easily. Its definitely not built to last and its not designed to carry the weight of that much water. I'm gonna go for the Ionmax ION90 instead.

humidistat as well. Although it allows you to set a target humidity, I find that this does affect the output in any way. I wanted a humidifier to keep room humidity in the sweet spot of 40 - 60 %. What this does however is spew out large amounts of steam making the surrounding area wet making the room a breeding ground for mould which kinda defeats the purpose. You are better off getting one without a humidistat to save you the $$$ as generally the humidistat component is an expensive add-on to a humidifier. The hot and cold steam settings do not do anything. The temperature of the steam is exactly the same when measured with a thermometer. Bad product overall.

good product
Product is good, worked perfectly for us. We had issues with it after using it for 6 months, i emailed their customer support which responded straight away. They send me some replacement parts which made the item work for a while then it stopped working because we're having issues with the rubber. EMailed the customer support again, she told me to just bring the faulty product to the store and they would replace it since it's covered by warranty.

Confused
I suffer from a form of asthma that is relieved by humid air during winter, I purchased this unit to replace a smaller unit.
Mine came with a quick start guide but no full manual. I also could not find a manual on the Homedics website.
The unit comes with an adjustable Humidistat. I had assumed that because it could be adjusted that it would moderate the amount of moisture released depending on whether the target humidity had been reached. It was this feature that made the cost of the unit worthwhile to me. Unfortunately, despite ad...Read more
