Fabulous product
On a budget so brought this product not expecting it to last long. However I was surprised to find it is fantastic. Love the way it cooks rice and with cheaper meat it turns it into a cruise dish. Only negative was it took me a while to work out the right times and needed to allow extra time for the pressure to build up. But all in all definately worth the price and still going strong. I use it about 3 times a week.

Excellent value product
Bought this cheapie pressure cooker / slow cooker from KMart. Didn't want to splash out too much in case I didn't use it much.
It is so easy to use and I cook amazing curries and make homemade bone broth in no time at all. Fairly large capacity and works well for a family of four. Easy to use and clean, why pay more?

What doesnt work!
The booklet is third rate! It gave no recipes!
It has a "soup" button. I tried to use it for vegetable soup. It took an hour to reach pressure when it began its 30 mins countdown! I had to have something else for dinner that night!
I cooked brown rice, and it got stuck!
I am looking for a pressure cooker that doesnt take so long to build up pressure!

Absolutely nothing wrong with mine
Honestly, I do not know what the other reviewers are talking about. I have bought this exact pressure cooker almost a year ago and I have been using it pretty much every single day since. I don't remember the instructions booklet, I've always just used some common sense. It's not a rocket science. For the steam to build up, you need some water people, or whatever you put in needs to contain enough water. You don't need to add any water when you put for example seasoned chicken breasts in, or frozen vegetables. I steam fish in it all the time, cook stews, soups. Unless you're one of those people who need to read some instruction manual on how to read instruction manuals, you'll be fine.

WORTHLESS JUNK, DONT BUY
All as previous reviewers, just a worthless piece of junk that they should not be selling - dont buy in any circumstances. It will go straight back tomorrow. Only gets to pressure on two out of four functions so it will slumber on forever till it burns dry, saute doesn't work, doesn't have 11 functions, etc,etc etc

Won't pressurise
The instructions are in garbled English so you are left to work out how to do it yourself. It says press down and turn pressure valve anti clockwise. This is impossible. Whatever I do the pressure valve just doesn't work and will not pressurise this is supposed to be easy cooking. Returning it tomorrow.

useless instructions
With the instructions provided with the unit you are left to trial and error with this machine. Once i played with the buttons it cooked a delicious lamb shank casserole in an hour, the meat was falling off the bone! The instructions dont give any example of times or even what the buttons are for!

My 5L 6006 model keeps showing message "OPEN" and do not respond to any button except power on off. No matter what I do to close lid, adjust pressure valve, restart, and unplug. Seal and valve is in perfect condition.

The pressure cooker takes about 5mins to heat up overall, we use fast cooking to saute first,, then pressure cook it.
