One the best value SUV's in the market

published

Just purchased our 2nd CRV as we were so impressed with the first one. Honda are a very reliable car packed with great features for its price bracket. The SUV is perfect size for our young family, easily fits 2 large baby seats across the back seat and the boot space is large enough to fit a double pram and extra space for shopping bags..etc

We got the 4WD 2.4L VTi-L variant, and manage around 500km to a tank (city driving). The addition of a digital radio would be a welcome addition, other than that can't really fault any of the included features.

Great Car

published

A comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. Everything about the interior is great, colour, material, quality and design. Very reliable. Reasonable running costs, approx. 11L/100k local and approx. 9L/100K long distance driving. You wouldn't regret the purchase. Boot space is very generous and lots of extra features that make it a great car.

Comfy for long road trip

published

Took a road trip with family Melbourne to Sydney.(2wd)
Positives- overall good experience. Comfy and this SUV has the most spacious legroom compared to others. Had plenty of storage space in the boot. Comfortable enough for long drive as we started at 4:40 in the morning and reached the destination at 5:30pm. That is a total of 890kms with adequate breaks.
Negatives- dashboard is plasticky. Average mileage was 7.8litres/100kms.

Love my Honda CRV. A great and reliable car.

published

I have bought a second hand Honda CRV. I do love the car. It was recommended as a reliable and long lived car. It is all of this and more. Only issue is finding a reliable and trustworthy dealer service centre. I am based in the western suburbs, I have not been able to find one yet. Only negative is leg room in front seats is somewhat limited for long legged people, loads of space in the back seat and back area. Highly recommend anybody thinking of buying one.

Excellent service

published

I bought from an owner who had it since new. Thanks to the owner who looked after it well and always services by logbook. I've been using the car for nearly 6 weeks and really nice to drive. Turn much smoother, no noticeable noise. Interior is normal by the age of the car.
Fuel consumption is not bad but I think it could have been better on cities.

Love my Honda

published

I love my CRV. It's only shortfalls are in its dash display unit. For over $40,000 I believe a GPS unit should be included. I also expected more functionality with music playing i.e. The name of the song and the artist being displayed. My son finds the legroom on the passenger side to be seriously lacking, he's 6'4" and dislikes driving along with his legs jammed up against the dash.

Fantastic car

published

The performance of the car is fantastic, the interior is black & the trouble is it shows every mark but other than that the leather is great, plenty of leg room, great dash no trouble seeing everything. Love the way it has a memory for the seat positions. Running costs are not bad on a long trip. Of course it has great reliability because we've only had it since the beginning of February 2017.

Great Family SUV with lot of Space and Power

published

Love my Honda CRV 2013 MY 14 VTI-L . i have owned this since past 3 years and bought brand new from Tynan Motors. Handling, response, fuel mileage, boot space, comfort everything ticks 5 stars apart from entertainment system.
May be the latest one they have improved. Nothing wrong but its too outdated, maps are basic, Bluetooth call interface is basic e.g. it doesn't show call names but as i said this should be fixed from 2016 model and above so no need to worry . Go get this car for great experience of driving a SUV i am sure you wont be disappointed. We love our CRV... Keep improving HONDA...

Great car

published

Generally a comfortable and roomy car with great features. Quality feel, good fuel economy and fare value for the money paid
The only thing is that it is under powered and slow on the pick-up which lets the car down, I wish there was a engine option to upgrade .

Great family car!

published

We were looking for a family car that had a reverse camera and large boot space for the holiday time! It drives smoothly, effortless drive, easy to park, no real noise road noise, urban petrol av 11.8 but that was expected. The only negatives that I can think is that it doesn't have much get up and go, nor reverse sensors. Seen more as an older persons car but very reliable and a great quality car!

Honda CRV VTI LE 2.4 litre

published

Very comfortable seats, plenty of legroom. Cabin noise acceptable. Power is good as long as the revs are kept up to get the best response from the motor. Handling is very good. Lane watch very handy. Economy okay for size of motor. The radio has different sets of menu, and is complicated to use. Overall the car provides a smooth and comfortable driving experience.

Honda CR-V

This if my third CR-V and it is now 10 years old and keeps getting better with age, it has done only 85000 Kms and I have it serviced by the same mechanic that did the past 2 models I had, they are easy on fuel, and are built like a Swiss Watch and worth the cost of purchase, one day I will most likely have to upgrade to the latest model.

Third Time Purchaser

published

This is our third Honda CRV and they just keep getting better. The vehicle interior space is very versatile and the storage capacity is surprisingly large. The reverse camera is excellent and the left turn camera in the wing mirror is an amazing asset. The vehicle appears small for the actual amount of space meaning five passengers and their luggage and travel comfortably. As always the CRV is reliable and fuel consumption good. Although the vehicle has the qualities of a four wheel drive, it has the feel and comfort of a fully on-road car. If we needed to replace the CRV it would be with another CRV. Our daughter also has her third CRV and we are on to our second Jazz. Through experience we are a Honda family.

CR-V RM (2012-2016)

On occasions my remote control won’t work & have been unable to lock my car. On returning to the vehicle sometimes only 15 minutes later find the accessories, interior & side lights all on. The auto electrician & Honda dealership can’t find anything wrong.

Wow sounds like a nuisance problem, the best people that have direct access to Honda are the car dealers, specially the one where you get your car serviced.
I have contacted Honda direct and they keep palming me off to the dealers.
So keep hassling them and ask them for solutions, maybe to reprogram or replace your remote control.
Good luck!

CR-V RM (2012-2016)

Hi. I'm curious about Honda CR-V DTi-L Limited Edition 4wd Auto with 1.6 turbodiesel & ZF 9 Speed auto. Has anyone reviewed it? I heard the 9 speed auto itself has bad reliability. I haven't heard anything much about the known problem specifically for that version.
