Do not buy this car
SO this needs a lot of work doing to it.
Tyres are expensive on it, the fuel pump needs replacing and also the breaks, gear box and also spark plugs.
Does not cope with driving to and from FSH to alkimos everyday.
Would not recommend this car at all, do not buy it!

Love
We are very grateful that we have bought our Honda at Sutton Honda at the Homebush. Thanks Wilson and Nick as they were very kind and professional and helpful and knowledgeable about everything we asked about this new car as we traded in our old CRV in. It’s Amazing and drives well and fuel is very good as we only fill up once a week. Thanks Honda

Love them, but you need to find a well maintained model
Great car,i have a 2004 CR-V which has just clicked on 280,000km.
No problems. The key is maintenance. The diffs,& gearbox need to be serviced with genuine honda oil only,or you will end up with problems, especially the rear diff as non genuine oil ends up causing shuddering when accelerating. It only costs about $17 for a litre from Honda,so it's not expensive.
Regular oil changes are also important.
Great on fuel, averages about 9 litres to 100 on the freeway,& around 11 litres in the city,
Ensure you buy one with a complete service history, that's the key,& you will have a great car.

I love my car
Awesome car, plenty of room, fuel saving. comfortable ride. easy easy to drive. the height is perfect too. We were tossing between RAV4 or CRV. So glad we made our decision on CR-V
I've had this car now for 3 years with no regrets. Only thing is the multimedia console which is quite outdated but with the new CRV, they have done an upgrade with iphone connectivity and such.
Would drive the same car again.

Excellent car great fuel economy
Bought in August 2017 after tossing between cx5 n crv. Crv represented a much better value for money and a much bigger interior. 5 yrs unlimited km warranty. I have driven in 17000km so far and average fuel consumption ranges between 6.5l/100 to 7.3/100 for mixed use. apple CarPlay is excellent.
I owned Honda’s before so I know they are good and reliable cars. This one is no different.

Poor quality of build and parts
If your reading this and thinking of purchasing a Honda DONT! They are not as good as they used to be. The quality of build and parts are disappointing. After sales service is patchy depending on what dealer you go to. In short, buy a Lexus, Toyota or Mazda.
This is a summary of my 5 years of ownership.
I bought this car brand new from Larke Hoskins Honda Homebush (now Suttons) with full options and all accessories in the brochure and added dealership offers. Shopped around for the right price then settled on $48k. Which is steep, but I did ...Read more
get the luxury version, fully optioned with ADAS and all accessories. Doesn’t come with boot tray protector (needed - trust me) and bonnet protector are a must as the paint is soft as! Shortly after I picked it up, went for a drive down to Melbourne I noticed large chips out of the bonnet paintwork, which I don’t remember going through loose stones and didn’t go through unsurfaced roads. Had front speaker housing and speaker replaced twice and rattle out of front passenger side door looked at twice. Dealer claimed to have replaced parts and fixed problems but they didn’t. Got Honda Australia involved and they gave the dealer a kick up the butt and then they fixed the speaker housing but not rattle.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Pretty nice car
Plenty of power, great handling, roomy enough to fit four people and their gear comfortably. We bought an old 2000 manual with 200,000 km on it from a mates son which sucks a bit of oil through the valve stem seals on deceleration. Apart from the occasional oil smell and horrible clutch it's not a bad car. OK for $2500 bought 5 years ago and still going. Done oil and filter changes, but I don't think the timing belt has ever been replaced but it's still going strong. It might die one day but for $2500 I don't care. Also, the car makes the dread...Read more
ed diff squeal but only whilst doing U turns and such. I bought replacement diff fluid but I'm too lazy to change it. Did have a rain water leak which I fixed by making a shield over the fan as per the You tube video. Rear seats fold up, just enough room to lay down if the leave the tailgate open. Recommend an auto over the manual, but if I saw a nice low km, manual I would buy another. Transmission is a little notchy but at least it's a positive shift. The suspension bushes are a little worn now which will be the main cost as it will need repairing shortly. Good, reliable Japanese car, I'm not a Honda person but these CRV's are quite OK. Car reviewers complained about lack of power but they must be used to not paying for fuel themselves as I find this Honda 2 litre engine powerful and fuel efficient.Similar opinion? This is a great little car !
Such a nice card to drive. It’s a very roomy car and despite its age, it isn’t all that out dated. The one major thing I would point out that I don’t like though is that the horn is shocking. How am I meant to signal people with a pathetic horn like mine ! It also guzzles fuel, at $75 to fill up and about 6.5 hours driving out of it.

Aamazing Car
Recently bought this car perfectly suited for families with kids. But I'm a single girl (28) and I find the car perfect for the price and features. The seats are very comfy, driving is smooth, radio and sound system excellent. Apple Car Play is a feature that comes with the car which mirrors your smart phone to the screen - had a bit of trouble with it working for a day or 2 then it's disappearing and coming back again? not a system problem but a world wide Honda issue- can get very frustrating as it's one of the car's main features. Also car i...Read more

Most practical car ever!
Big boot, comfy seats and super easy to drive. Granted you can't race anyone in this car, so overtaking and rushing is not a strength however, everything else about the car is great. We have taken this car on long trips and it's comfortable enough, however you soon realise that it's not as quiet as you would expect.

Beautiful car to drive
Easy and a pleasure to drive. Feels roomy inside, and good boot size, but not overly large to park. The included parking rear camera is very helpful. The car comes with Carplay which is a great feature with iphones but requires all apple apps and disappointing does not work with google maps. Seems economical to run.

Easy to drive
The car has excellent safety features which include front and rear sensors, reverse camera and left lane check.
the car looks small on the outside however there is a lot of room, the interior is easy to maintain and keep clean and tidy, would highly recommend purchasing the boot mat as it have saved me cleaning time

Would have been a great buy if not for these design flaws...
I have been a fan of hondas because of their reliability and awesome look. I had a 1999 crv before and was very practical and reliable so i got myself an upgrade with the 2008 honda crv sports model.
I like how it looks and how roomy the cabin is. The ride is quiet as the engine noise is minimal. Tyre noise would depend on the quality of tyres you got. I got maxxis ones on mine so its not the best but not the worse too. Power is adequate when overtaking. But not enough to give you confidence in doing something more daring. I get fuel econom...Read more
y of 10.5liters per 100kms combined after changing spark plugs, changing oil and filter, cleaning maf sensor, changing air filter and putting some magic oil additives. I was averaging 12.5 liters per 100kms before doing all these. Overall happy with everything else except for these 2 major flows so beware! Power steering defect. My power steering fluid is leaking somewhere. Iv researched and its a common problem. Also my crv seems to be pulling a bit to the left. Have done wheel balance and alignment but it did not solve the problem. Air compressor defect. Mine has been changed by the previous owner. But they are to last around 90,000kms then the compressor will go. The replacement compressor i got will also be the same. It will go bad in a few years. So check the history of the car if you plan to buy one of this. Check the power steering system and aircon system.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Paint bubbled and peeled at year 6 - Honda took no responsibility
I was a loyal Honda customer, owning 2 Honda's. Unfortunately the paint started bubbling on my steel grey Honda CRV at year 6 (approx $40K car) with independent quotes of $4,000 to fix it.
Upon calling Honda, they told me that the paint was only guaranteed for 3 years and they would not do anything to fix it, even though they had changed paint type post this due to identified issues. With only 50,000km on the clock, the car is now worthless. Such a pity they treat a loyal customer in this manner and I am left with such a bad and costly customer experience.

Perfect choice I have made! Ever!
I didn’t plan to buy the CRV. Simply because I didn’t like the design & also I wanted to have a 7 seater like Kia Sorento. But as soon as the CRV new design came out, which is MY18 look, it definitely caught my eyes.
I did a lot of research & test drive different cars. I ended up at Honda for a closer look through the CRV.
because it’s the MEDIUM SUV, I can’t fit my big baby pram in the boot. So it was a biggest disappointment for me at first.
I looked through inside & out. And then I was thinking Forget about the boot size, I can live wit...Read more

Great Family Car
Perfect car for your family. The car is very comfortable and most definitely suitable for all families. Driving it is a smooth and relaxing experience. Reverse parking camera has helped with speeding up the process without any accidents. All in all, this car turned out to be very comfortable and productive with its versatile features.

Suitable for a woman
when I got a recommendation this car, 2015 CRV, from the sales person, I was not sure because it is a very big size to drive for a woman, I thought. However, once you drive this car, you can feel very light and easy to drive. It is the first advantage. Moreover, it is beneficial as it is a fuel-efficient with eco system. I have Matsuda 3, too. I pay both car with same fuel costs despite of different size, which is fantastic experience for me. My car is white one, but I don't like the all of features such as design and color. But it is my favorite car ever.

Great reliable car always!
We loved this car so much and was really sad when I sold it. We owned it for almost 8yrs and had no problem at all with the car. It’s powerful and so reliable, I enjoyed driving this car around Sydney and interstate.
Ac was always cold and never had problem. Service didn’t cost us a lot too.
The seats were comfortable, Front and back. And the bonus hand rest can’t be beaten. I wish all cars have handrest for the driver seat.

Affordable 7 seater
We were very skeptical of the 1.5L turbo engine for such a big car. The engine turned out to be surprisingly sufficient and also frugal on fuel. The dashboard is all digital, and has nice and big readouts. The only thing missing on this type of car is LED headlights, the halogen headlights has very poor visibility at night.

Perfect car
Perfect family car. Bought when they had the limited edition. Lane change assist camera is the best function I ever had. Front and reverse sensor and camera makes parking a breeze. Love the design of the car - more than the newer ones. Fuel efficiency could be bette but happy overall.

On occasions my remote control won’t work & have been unable to lock my car. On returning to the vehicle sometimes only 15 minutes later find the accessories, interior & side lights all on. The auto electrician & Honda dealership can’t find anything wrong.

Wow sounds like a nuisance problem, the best people that have direct access to Honda are the car dealers, specially the one where you get your car serviced.
I have contacted Honda direct and they keep palming me off to the dealers.
So keep hassling them and ask them for solutions, maybe to reprogram or replace your remote control.
Good luck!
Many thanks will follow it up
