Affordable 7 seater
We were very skeptical of the 1.5L turbo engine for such a big car. The engine turned out to be surprisingly sufficient and also frugal on fuel. The dashboard is all digital, and has nice and big readouts. The only thing missing on this type of car is LED headlights, the halogen headlights has very poor visibility at night.

Perfect car
Perfect family car. Bought when they had the limited edition. Lane change assist camera is the best function I ever had. Front and reverse sensor and camera makes parking a breeze. Love the design of the car - more than the newer ones. Fuel efficiency could be bette but happy overall.

The Perfect Family Car
I absolutely love this car, I brought it for my wife as she wanted a larger car and it hasn't missed a beat. It runs smooth and quiet when on economic mode, and we get over 500kms to a tank which is amazing. Highly recommended to any families that want a gorgeous car that has a reasonable price tag.

I love my Honda!
I'd only had five cars in my life and the models were Toyota Corolla, Diahatsu Rocky, Diahatsu Sirion, Diahatsu Terios and Hyundai Getz. So I felt that at the ripe old age of none-of-your-business it was time for a change. I recently became a part of a blended relationship with three children under 18 to cart around so we (the new man and I) began to look for a car that drove like a small car but handles itself like a larger one with comfort. I really only test drove one car - that was my black 2014 CRV, who I affectionately call Bubba. Bub...Read more
ba impressed me from the get go and I didn't look back from there. Since then Bubba has been our touring car with trips to Tasmania, the Blue Mountains, several North Coast and Batemans Bay trips (we're on the South Coast) and he has handled magnificently. There are ample charging ports for the stuck to the phone teens and the IPad charger dock in the second glovebox is a blessing. There is room for three in the back without an issue and my 6 foot partner has plenty of leg room. Bubba handles like a dream and parking is an ease with the reversing warning beeper. I would have liked to invest in the luxury model to get a reversing camera though but hey, you deal. Only let down is the soft quality of the paintwork. lf you leave bird poop on the paint too long it eats away at it. That's a downer for me. I would, however, recommend this car for those transitioning from a smaller car (like I did from a Getz) to a mid size SUV. Also getting items like bumper protectors, car seat covers and the like is a hassle as many of those items are not stock. Couldn't get a bumper protector at all and had to order in seat covers. Replacement windscreen washers are pricy as you have to buy the entire head of the wiper as well... sets you back a pretty penny. Final minus is the in screen navigation, which mine was upgraded too, once installed it seems flimsy on the reception with regular drops out of stations we can get with a standard radio and aerial and android phone will not save details of downloaded phone book to it so I have to install phone book every time.

Quality for all kinds of use
Wow, what a light car!
For such amazing legroom and large space for passengers and cargo alike in the booth, the car drives insanely lightly. Fuel efficiency seems pretty average, it goes a reasonable amount on a single tank.
One unique quality is its endurance. Pushing the car over long distance trips taking the kids to school has had it hit its service KMs threshold lifetime faster than it should, and the car is still powering through strong on its light engine.
Even better, on the freeway cruise control and eco mode make it a breeze without feeling like a power hungry family sized car.

Best value for money SUV in my opinion
We have the 7 seat version so 2WD - just to clarify.
The power coming from this 1.5L Turbo is surprising. I think it's about right for this class of car. Certainly way better than the Kodiaq and Outlander we test drove. In fact the engine and the price pretty much sealed it for us compared to those two. Android Auto works fantastically and the feeling of luxury and comfort is evident throughout. The USB ports everywhere (even a 120W one!) are great for charging our devices. I really cannot fault this car but if you force me to, I think the e...Read more
lectronic tailgate is too slow. Bit annoying having to wait for it. It's slow enough that I can truly say I'd prefer a manual tailgate at this rate. We haven't felt this great about a car since we bought the Honda Accord Euro back in 2003. We've owned other brands since then but always wanted to go back to Honda, and need 7 seats now. Not only do we have a nice SUV (instead of that godawful Odyssey) from Honda, I think they've made the best one in this size you can get for the money.Similar opinion? Reliable, comfortable and spacious
This car is bigger inside than it looks compared to other cars. It's very comfortable in the back seats and with the back seats down, there is heaps of space to move things. It drives well, although it can lack power up hills. However, it's easy to park either forwards or backwards.
The interior is functional without any real wow factor. The petrol costs are probably a little higher than I expected (I average 9.6 litres per 100km).
It's a six monthly service which is capped. It costs around $300 per service, but my Honda dealer cleans th...Read more
e car inside and out and usually discounts the price on the day (I'm not really sure why). Overall, it's a comfortable and reliable car that looks good and is easy to drive. I would expect this to be easily a ten year car for me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Perfect 4WD family car for the price!
Bought CRV new and it was great to drive in - smooth and with ease. Interior and spacing inside is perfect for a normal size family of 5. However one negative thing I will say is the fuel efficiency, it is not that good compared to other vehicles out there if your petrol savvy.

Comfortable, reliable, versatile SUV
We bought our 2007 (MY 2008) CRV with 90K km on the clock, trading our early release 97 CRV that we'd owned from new. We've found the 07/08 CRV great to drive, cost effective to run and the interior is really comfortable for passengers and flexible for cargo. We do a combination of country and around town driving - regular servicing and maintenance (religiously every 10K kms) and replacement of the airbag after the recall has been the only time it has been off road in 6 years. Now approaching 200K km, it is still going strong and while the interior has stood up to wear and tear well, the paintwork is looking a bit thin. We would like to upgrade to some new tech and a true off roader/twin cab ute this time round - but Honda doesn't make one!

Disappointment
Do your research before buying as you will not be made fully aware of problematic items buy sales people
1/ Fuel economy is 11.5 lt/100km. (13+lt/100km city 9-lt/100km highway with ECO activated)
2/ Using ECO and cruise control will annoy following traffic probably more than you. Power drop off is dramatic
with only a slight incline slowing the vehicle.
3/ Fuel tank is too small, especially with poor fuel economy.
4/ If you have a puncture, you cannot put two new tyres on one axle if the other axle has tyres with 20,000 km

Great safe suv
We bought the last honda 2018 honda CRV and its the top of the range model a beautiful car to drive and with the AwD is so safe in the wet. I have a very bad back injury and the seats in the CRV are great and in the winter will be perfect with the heated seating. I highly recommend this car, but just be careful of the salesman, make sure everything is in writing and emails and you won't have a problem.

Fantastic Car All Round & Cheap to Maintain
My CRV is now a few years old and I can safely say that it was a great decision to purchase it. The car drives very smoothly and has maintained a 9.9l/100k fuel efficiency which is pretty decent for an SUV. Plenty of useful features such as the storage compartments and makes good use of the dashboard.
My only complaints are that the car system doesn't work great with Android phones compared to iOS and the air conditioning temperature control isn't fantastic. Apart from that the car has been cheap to maintain and it hasn't had a single issues as far as driving experience.

Great first car
Swapped over from Suzuki Swift, the field of vision has definitely improved. Although parking is a little tricky due to the size of the vehicle, it is equipped with all the safety features to ensure a smooth park. Cruise control feature is easily accessible from the steering wheel, which makes long distance driving a safe and pleasant experience.

Good all rounder, quality finish.
We have the 2.4 litre 4WD version. In short, it does everything well, but is perhaps not a class-leader in any area? True to reputation, it's very well finished, and feels like quality inside. It's a nice place to be, and feels better made than some other popular SUVs. It's super-practical. Plenty of room, nice to sit in the rear (for adults) and good space in the boot area. Lots of handy options. The two rear camera's are handy, and folding mirrors and the auto-dimming rear mirror is a must - esp the auto dim mirror - all cars should have ...Read more
one! The audio system is ok, a little finicky really. On a trip it's great. The tank size is not very large and a limiting factor perhaps. The motor has plenty of go but not much torque. Any hill will see it change down but this is just an observation really. Around town our economy I would rate as ordinary. On a trip it's great, but most things are. Keyless entry is great of course, and it doesn't have stop start which I think is fabulous as I don't like that. It requires a service every six months, which is not so good. But, Honda are good to deal with so I can live with that. I think it's better than an X-trail, better than the Korean options and better than a Forester. I would guess the Mazda CX5 is better but I haven't driven one. As a used buy I would recommend one, although the economy in heavy traffic might be a drawback. In moderate traffic it's fine. A nice looking car and easy to live with in the real world. Actually I’ve just taken it down to three stars based on its performance with four people onboard. It needs more torque!Similar opinion? Great first car
Great performance and very smooth to drive. The interior has ample leg room. Wish the colour scheme was darker. I've had this car for 8 years and haven't had any issues with it yet, just the basic servicing a few times a year. I like that this car looks like a 4wd, nice size, ample boot, good height. No complaints!

Bought a second hand CRV from Penrith Mazda and the service from Russell was nothing short of amazing. Very honest and patient and goes out of his way to assist with anything that you need this is my 2nd purchase from this car yard and I won’t be going anywhere else in the future

Love driving but a couple of issues that drives me nuts.
I’m very happy with the driving experience apart from reversing.
Even with the backing camera sometimes hard to judge. EG my husband keeps hitting things!
Also the acknowledgement that appears on the screen very quickly drives me nuts. To correct you have to turn off the car take out the key and start process again. Time wasting.

Very Spacious SUV - 7-Seater is tight though
Overall car is a great drive with heaps of tech for good value. Bought top of the range for approx 39-40k driveaway. The 7-seater model has a 1.5L Turbo engine but can still produce decent power on residential roads. Takes Premium Fuels - must be for the Turbo. So not as cheap to run as other SUV's that take E10 fuels. Haven't driven any long distances yet to confirm this. But this is seriously a comfy SUV with space for 4-5 people. Once people start sitting in the back 2 seats they will realise how less leg room there is for seats 6 and 7. So ...Read more
make a decision to see if you really need to get a 7 seater. Maybe Odyssey is a better alternative? Would not reccommend dealing with Trivett Parramatta though. Once the car sale is made and the car is delivered watch the service levels drop for both the salesman and the Dealership Principal.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It's alright price
It's good services and good price, have everything I need for my family, not too far from my house, but take more fuels than others car. Cheap price compare to Toyota. Plenty of rooms inside the car. Interior look nice I will recommend to my friend. Anyway reasonable price for my budget to buy this car

Wow sounds like a nuisance problem, the best people that have direct access to Honda are the car dealers, specially the one where you get your car serviced.
I have contacted Honda direct and they keep palming me off to the dealers.
So keep hassling them and ask them for solutions, maybe to reprogram or replace your remote control.
Good luck!
Many thanks will follow it up
