Powerful vacuum cleaner that does a great job especially on carpets micro filter needs to be cleaned regularly. Saw that one lady washes it after every time she vacuums which is probably a good idea, as it blocks fairly quickly. But it is there two pick up fine dust which it does a great job of doing. We love our vacuum cleaner, It's great.

A really good bagless vacuum
I've been vacuuming my floors with a Dyson DC01 which I bought in 1998 but finally the motor burnt out so I had to buy a new vacuum. When I bought the Dyson bagless vacuums were few and far between. But now it's different and so I bought a Hoover 7011PH Allergy. Now I thought the Dyson even in it's old age was still doing a good job because every few years I took it apart and cleaned it all out. But after using the Hoover how wrong could I be. After doing the house I weighed how much dust from bare floors and ingrained dirt from the carpet the ...Read more
Hoover had managed to suck out. It weighed in a 3.5 kilograms. Oh my what a shock. Yes this vacuum definitely does a better job than my old one. It comes with many attachments but only two ( the crevice tool and dust brush are housed on board) the rest are loose. As usual I cleaned the HEPA filter in cold water after I'd finished using it. It's quieter than the Dyson upright and the power head tool has three different height settings for carpet. The power head is not designed to be used on timber floors or tiles. But a separate floor head attachment is supplied. I was told not to wash the carbon filter (on the rear of the vacuum cleaner near the power cord) in water as it drastically shortens it's life as it's made of paper. That's no problem I used my air compressor and a trigger attachment to blow it clean. My air compressor is fitted with a water trap so it only blows dry air One thing I have found is that the telescopic tube is a bit thick and it's hard to get behind furniture with the crevice tool or dusting brush attachments. I'm lucky as I have my recently deceased mother's old vacuum a Miele and it's two piece stainless steel tube fits the Hoover handle with no problems and all the Hoover attachments fit the Miele tube too. The Hoover telescopic head is so thick because to carries not only the tube the dirt gets sucked up through but also the wiring for the power head. I only use the Miele for vacuuming out the car and it's tube was just sitting around waiting for a use again. This may void a Hoover warranty but I can't see how. I also wash the entire cannister part of the vacuum. Under the HEPA filter is a screw which once unscrewed enables you to separate and wash the entire cyclonic part of the vacuum. Over time that will become clogged with dirt and the vacuum will decrease in performance.
Purchased in February 2021 for $699.00.

Filter needs cleaning every time it is used
Worse vacuum ever. The filter light comes on before finishing the house. Long strands of my daughter's hair winds around the rotating brush instead of going into the canister which then needs to be cut off. Returned it to Godfreys Nunawading who used another vacuum to clean the fiter then said it was fine. Do not buy. Head hard to get off sometimes.
Purchased in July 2021 at Godfreys nunawading for $599.00.

Worth the investment if you have pets!
I have black carpet and a white cat plus 2 small children living at home, so this vaccum is paramount. We purchased specifically for the attachment head that spins and grabs any hair extremely effectively. After having cheaper brand vaccums that just drag dust and hair around, We couldn’t live without the Hoover Allergy.
Purchased in July 2021 for $799.00.

Disappointed
The Hoover Allergy 7011PH has terrific suction, picks up far more than my Dyson barrel cleaner. It is however extremely heavy on the arm, difficult to manoeuvre and the hose consistently kinks. It has an additional filter attachment on the stick so you can see what's being collected but this attachment tends to tilt the handle between the hose and the stick making it harder to manoeuvre. Disappointed as I can't use it so I depend on hubby to do vacuuming.

Great for deep cleaning
Bought this after mine died. I thought my old one did a good job but then I whizzed this one around the house - especially carpet and rugs - and wow! After using it on my 'clean' carpet, the Hoover revealed just how powerful and effective is.
It comes with all the usual accessories that are great for furniture, the car, skirting boards etc.
The only drawback is that the powerhead doesn't tilt enough to get under beds and couches.

Powerful vacuum
Purchased from Godfreys, they did a great trade price for our old vacuum that had died. This vacuum has a motorised powerhead that makes it super easy and almost enjoyable to push around. Handy extendable neck, easy to maneuver. Great range of attachments, easy to keep clean and empty dirt and dust out. It is also endorsed by the National Asthma Council's Sensitive Choice program for it's superior filtration for people with allergies and Asthma.
