Good Vacuum for the House
I have been very happy with this vacuum for our house. It is easy to use, clean and store. We don't have any pets, but we have not had any problem with the vacuum not picking things up off the floor. The only thing I dislike is the short power cable.

For pets?
I recently purchased this vacuum cleaner since I own a cat.
I attached the turbo head ans proceeded tp vacuum my cat. The spinning brush did not massage my cat as I expectd it would. Instead, it provoked and angered my cat turning it into a hissing, scratching whirlwind of death.
I believe that the name of this machine is slightly misleading.

Great for the car
Got this for the house, but the short power cable made it annoying to use. So now its used in the garage to vac the car. The suction is fantastic to get dirt, grass and sand out of carpet mats..something the Dyson handle just can't so. So, while disappointed original, am now happy with its ability to keep the car clean

Perfect for floor boards
Perfect for cleaning both carpets and floor boards. Strong suction and an easy to empty barrel. Love that it doesn't have a bag so is easy to empty and clean.
Light to maneuver and with good attachments. The only negative is that the cord isn't quite long enough to give good reach in a medium sized room so I need to use an extension cord.
A very good appliance from a trusted brand.

Great vacuum cleaner easy to use easy to clean
I have mostly tiles and wood with a couple of wool rugs and a dog and cat who drop a fair amount of hair. Great product and easy to clean. Good suction and with the turbo head added it's excellent for the rugs picking up all animal hair. Easy to store.

Great Vacuum
This is a great vacuum cleaner, is very fast and efficient, is easy to use and maneuver, works well on carpet, tiles and wooden floors. It also comes with smaller attachments for cleaning things like your car and couches. I would highly recommend it. It is definitely worth its price.

Great vac for value
Great value. It cost me under 200 dollars.
I got a 2 year warranty. Which was good.
The vacuum comes with a couple of attachments. One attachment does not stay on very well but it is a piece i rarely use.
The vacuum is easy to assemble and i had it put together in less than 5 minutes.
It is bag less and is easy to pull apart to empty and clean.

I love it, its so powerful and easy to clean
Its light and easy to use. It can easily be used on the carpets and floors. It can easily be cleaned because its bagless. It doesn't make a lot of noise, you can actually talk on the phone whilst you are vacuuming. I have a daughter with hay fever and she can easily empty it without sneezing.

Best vacuum cleaner by far
I purchased this vacuum cleaner based on the fact that it is advertised as being suitable for households with pets. Suffice to say, it lived up to my expectations and then some. I didn't realise just how much dog hair my previous vacuum cleaner was merely leaving behind. The amount of suction on this cleaner is incredible. The one touch bagless canister emptying system is an absolute breeze. The only negative would be that the power cord is probably a little on the short side. I can categorically say it is the best vacuum cleaner I have owned.

It does the job
I'm happy, it does the job. If I were being super picky, it doesn't have the suction required for pet hair stuck in carpet (ie its not industrial strength). Pets and carpet don't mix anyway so it's not the vacuums fault!!!! For it's price range it is worth its money.

Sucks in a good way
maneuverability is terrible, especially on corners. The cord is very short otherwise a good unit and seems to get all visible rubbish including cat hair. It is quiet and of a reasonable weight. Not sure I'd buy again but love the bagless aspect even though this can be messy when emptying it.

Not bad at the discounted price recently.
I bought the Hoover Eco Pets because a long serving Electrolux barrel type cleaner finally died (gave about ten years service I think). I don't like buying vacuum bags (not the price, just the effort to find them) so I bought a bagless cyclonic this time around. The Eco Pets with Turbo brush was on special for $99 so I decided to try it rather than spend much more on my other researched choice (an Electrolux midrange bagless).
So far it's OK, not stunning but OK. The 'eco' feature of being a frugal 1100 Watts is not a great selling point IM...Read more
HO, the cleaner could do with more power, particularly when using the turbo floor head on carpet (which is not what it's supposed to be for, but who changes it from room to room anyway). On hard floors with the turbo head it's very very good, gets all dust and pet hair in one pass usually. The turbo head cleans easily and does not clag up much compared to other turbo heads I've had (some three or four). Dust and pet hair extraction by the cyclonic filtering action is also very good, very very little dust bypasses the dust catching bin and ends up in the washable filter above it. The dust container is a decent size on this vac, so it can do our whole four bedroom house without interrupting for a dump out. I find that long hair catches in the spacer spool in the bottom of the dust container and needs to be pulled free manually, but that is a minor thing and doesn't bother me personally. The power cord is 2m shorter than my old Electrolux, and I miss that extra length, this means I have to change power outlets more often going through the house. On carpets using the supplied carpet head it does clean reasonably well, but not as well as my old more powerful vac and it's aftermarket turbo head. You can get the same result, but it need more repassing over the same path to achieve it. It's lighter than my old vacuum so I find it easy to move around. Build and assembly quality is good, and quality of the plastic is very good also. It does not seem brittle and about to snap like some cheaper vacs I've used. Main negative for me is the power, I'd like it to be about 50% more and run a turbo head with better flow (using that extra power) so I can use it better on soft carpets. Main positive is the unit cleans well for the price and is easy to empty and use. I'd recommend it for people on a budget and having not too much soft carpet.Similar opinion? Powerful Suction
Brought this from godfreys during the boxing day sale for $99. This vacuum is very powerful and gets the job done love the bonus accessories. Excellent on all floor surfaces, lightweight and very easy to maneuver and no problems with suction. Had few vacuums for similar price and this vacuum beats them all by far, definitely a 5 star rating,

Does a good job but heavy and difficult to change heads
I have found this machine to be very efficient with the turbo head, but it's heavy to drag around the floors and not that easy to manoeuvre. I didn't realise you really have to change the turbo head when doing hard floors and to be honest I'm finding this a bit of a pain. The turbo head does a great job on my carpets, it is picking up so much that the previous vacuum hasn't.
I think if your elderly or have wrist and hand issues you may have trouble changing the head over.

So far it's best vacuum for pets !
We had looked for a vacuum cleaner for months before Christmas as my mom in law was giving it for us for Christmas gift. We did not want to get expensive one so I went to Godfrey a couple of times and the sale man tried to sell me expensive vacuum each time, telling me it's on sale but I was not tempted and kept ringing my husband to look for a review. The next thing is this half price of Hoover Eco pets 3013 for $99 dollars, so my husband check the reviews and if we can get replacement on some parts like th filtration as they can be difficult ...Read more
if unable to replace. He said, it had a good reviews for the price and we need it for our pets, cat and dog. It's the best vacuum we have as it does sucks the pets hair well. We are happy so far but only just used it 2x now.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A Must Have
I Purchased my Hoover Eco Pets Turbo recently after being disappointed with cheap vacuums I'm constantly replacing, one after the other due to poor quality parts breaking or not vacuuming very well .
This Hoover product is of the highest quality in parts, quite obvious when I unpacked it and didn't cost the earth as it was on special at the time of purchase.
It has suction like no other Ive ever used and cleans the timber floors and rugs incredibly of an 100 sq meter home.
Do yourself a favor : ) and enjoy vacuuming

Okay cleaner for the price, but don't believe the hype
I'm reviewing a Hoover Eco Pets model 3013 purchased at Godfreys for $99 on the basis of three previous reviews.
We had a 5 year-old Dog n Cat with a pulsating power head that still works fine, but the power head is difficult to get on and off, so it's left on permanently and are unable to use all the attachments.
I was skeptical that the Hoover would be as good as the Dog & Cat given that it only had 1100 watts and a non-powered head and this proved the case. We put them head-to-head on half the living room rug each and the Hoover extr...Read more
acted 4 grams of grey matter while the Dog n Cat removed 6 grams. It may be the case, however, that the more powerful head removes more rug fibres than the other one. We're not able to comment on it's effectiveness on removing pet debris as we have none. Not trying to put you off getting one, it might be the best one currently available if this is your price point. Moreover, it was significantly more effort to push the Hoover over the rug as the turbo head only has 2 small wheels compared with 2 large and 2 small for the other one. It's really only an issue with the rug, on smoother carpets it's fine. The other main criticism of the Hoover is that there is no adjustable power control.1 comment
Just a correction. The turbo head does have 4 wheels, but the small ones are so tiny I didn't notice them. Also, the apostrophes on Dysons were inserted by an illiterate editor, or at least I hope they were!

Best vacuum I've owned
After having bought dyson vacuums and having them blow motors and stuff, I refused to spend $1000 on another one. I have 5 dogs in my house so I need an amazing pet vacuum, I bought this after reading all the great reviews and boy am I glad I did. Best vacuum hands down, even better than a Dyson and I got it on sale at Godfreysfor $99 down from $399, I bought a second one just as a spare

Never had a vacuum with so much suction
We have a dog who sheds terribly so needed a good vacuum. Having previously owned a Dyson which was very average considering the price I wanted a change. I bought this from godfreys on sale for $99 and all I can say is wow! The suction power is incredible and the amount of hair and dirt it extracted was huge. It does tip over sometimes and I have to turn the suction down on one of our rugs because it sticks. But those are the only downsides. If you own a messy pet then you should buy this vacuum especially if you can get it on special

Awesome vacuum cleaner
This is a very strong vacuum cleaner, deals with pet hair from our Husky with ease. It not only looks like a great solid vacuum cleaner but it has incredible suction, is easy to use and maneuvers well around furniture. If anyone is looking for a great vacuum cleaner this is it.

Hi everyone. I'm in need of help as I just purchased this vacuum and when I use it on carpet with the turbo head it doesn't seem to want to move forward, only backwards. If I push very hard it goes a little bit forward, but it doesn't seem right... I did adjust the settings to get less suction as well. Does anyone else have this problem, am I doing something wrong or should I just return it? Cheers.

What filters do I need to replace? My vacuum has a bad odour and I feel the filters are due to be changed!
2 answers
Hey there,
One of the things I was told in the shop was that the HEPA filters are washable - don't need to purchase a replacement.
I haven't needed to wash mine yet.
The filter is the green rectangle with 4 mesh squares. Not sure if links work on this site but there's a pic of it here:
http://www.hoover.com.au/hoover-eco-pets-turbo-bagless-vacuum-cleaner
Hopefully that it's just the filter that's the cause of the smell, since it should be the easiest part to take care of!
An update, I had to wash it a few weeks ago.
There is a transparent clip that you hook. This unlatches the top part. You remove the green plastic discs, and inside there is a grey sponge (removable) and white filter (non-removable). All of this can be rinsed with water and mild washing detergent to get rid of the dust, hair and oil from the hair. I left it to dry over a couple days because the weather is pretty cool here and I wanted to make sure it was fully dry before reinserting and risking a mould problem.

One year later and this thing is terrible, it often gets blocked, blows dust everywhere and doesn't give a good clean. Not recommended
