Hoover Zoom rubbish vacuum cleaner
After 6 months won’t turn on unless you keep trying for 10 to 15 minutes. It sometimes will start and other times it won’t. I end up sweeping my floors with a broom. Ive grown to hate this machine. Godfreys Balcatta checked it and said was fine. Throwing it in the bin as piece of rubbish. Paid $499 2 years ago .
Purchased at Godfreys Physical Stores for $499.00.

works great for a few weeks
This machine, when it works, its great! No fumbling with cords, no pulling around a ball and chain. Just super easy to go around the house and vacuum. I suffer from sciatica and I have issues with conventional vacuums, not with this one though. However there is an powering up issue and after a month it decided to work only when it wanted to work. Im kinda shattered tbh, I thought I found a great machine.
Purchased in June 2021 at Godfreys Online Store for $250.00.

Not for those with dust sensitivity.
The strong dust smell that this Machine give off always starts my allergies up I change my bag monthly even if the bags are not full but it hasn't helped. I spent $ 800 on this vacuum cleaner 2 years ago due such a large investment I don't want to spend anymore money after only 2 years.
Purchased in August 2021 at Godfreys for $800.00.

When it works it's great...
The hoover zoom is easy to manoeuvre and does a great cleaning job (probably better on carpet than hard floors but decent at all). The cordless design is super handy.
HOWEVER
We had a nightmare of a time with these. Our 1st machine was fine for a few months then had an issue with powering up. We took it back and they said it was a motor problem which they fixed. Not long thereafter the whole foot of it broke off (as in we lifted it off the ground and the foot tore off from its own weight!) This was also repaired. Then the thing stopped starti...Read more
ng at all so back off to get repaired. Lasted a short while and it was back to not powering up. At this point after 4 issues with our vacuum cleaner we demanded a replacement. Well the replacement lasted 2 weeks before it stopped powering up too. We finally got a refund and we're now on the lookout for something else. The Hoover Zoom has so much potential but has some seriously bad faults and it is with a heavy heart that I cannot recommend it to others.Purchased in March 2021 at Godfreys for $499.00.

Good when it works
This is a great vacuum cleaner and does it’s job really well. The first one had a defect after a few months but so far the second one has been great.
Purchased in May 2021 at Godfreys for $700.00.

Disappointed
I've had the Zoom for almost 12months. Initially I was wrapt with it - after struggling with a cumbersome vacuum cleaner with a split hose, and having to use two extension cords to do the entire house - the ZOOM was a dream to use. However, several months ago I began to pay attention to the nagging things it could NOT do. I could no longer vacuum the skirting boards, difficulty vacuuming inside wardrobes, couldn't vacuum the car.
It was fantastic at picking up dog hair but it would devour my one and only shag pile rug and cut out. Oh! and ...Read more

A++ Near perfect delight; once you go cordless you won’t want to go back
I saw this attractive blue and grey vacuum advertised online late 2017. I wanted it immediately but waited until January 2018 to buy. The supposed RRP is something like $799 which is crazy, I have only ever seen it on “sale” in store for $499. It is even cheaper on eBay, but I had to try it out in the shop and it was somewhat of an impulse buy from godfreys east Maitland. I said I’d buy the vacuum if I could have a box of bags (4 bags) for free.
Pros: large capacity bags (7.5L), powerful suction (216 Watts, 36volts) and long run time (Aprox 2...Read more
