People need to understand that Air Freight is not cheap. All freight companies charge whichever amount is higher between the volumetric and physical weight, Hop Shop Go is no exception. However they do allow the somewhat isolated people of Australia to access items they would generally not be able to get otherwise. If you aren't prepared to pay for Air Freight prices then stick to window shopping or buying from home turf.

I've used Hop Shop Go for years, reliably receiving parcels containing clothing and shoes from the US.

It's not cheap but can be worth it for something unique that you can't get in Australia. Sometimes a good US price plus Hop Shop Go's shipping is similar to what you would pay for an alternative bought in Australia.

I have used HopShopGo for two purchases. One was a small item that contained jewellery. The shipping was more expensive than I'd hoped but not too far away from what I expected. The second shipment was for a backpack. Holy moly was I taken in! When you use the shipping calculator, it specifically does not mention that you will be charged for the actual weight or the "volumetric weight", which ever is higher. Ordered an item from Ralph Lauren worth $90 USD + $5 extra for the giftbox. Hopshopgo postage calculator estimated shipping would be approx. $50.

Arrived at Hopshopgo address. They are suggesting to "discard giftbox" and repack so the "actual weight" will remain at 3.5kg, aka approx $60 postage.
