Very Poor response and ability to contact
I purchased an item online last week from House online. It is an expensive electrical item so I thought by purchasing from a company such as House with a strong Australian presence I would protect my purchase. The money was immediately taken out of my Paypal account and an order confirmation emailed. However, that was the last I heard from them. After 3 days I tried to call but couldn't get through. While I understand that it is busy at the moment with Sales, this is unacceptable in this business environment to take over a week to despatch an order and to not provide the ability for customers to easily get in contact with the company. After a week of hearing nothing further from the order confirmation, I rang again and finally got through to someone. I was told that my order is confirmed and it would be despatched the following week - that will be 2 weeks from the time of order. At this stage I will wait until the end of next week and then will be lodging a complaint with Paypal. Very poor response times, very difficult to contact via phone, large delays with email responses and incorrect information on their website with regards to online chat option. Faulty cutlery set.
We ordered and received a Maxwell and Williams cutlery set prior to Christmas. Some pieces were faulty. We now have an incomplete set. We were not offered a replacement as they stated they had no stock. Their webpage showed that they were selling individual pieces but they were not able to replace ours. Still waiting for a partial refund. Extremely disappointed and will never use them again.

Poor refund policy
I bought two bread tins which were too large. I returned the next day but the store did not have smaller ones and refused to refund my money. This is not good practice because K mart. Target etc will refund without question.

Christmas present still not delivered after waiting almost 6 weeks!
So on the 29th November, I ordered my husbands Xmas present and to date it still has not arrived nor have I received a tracking number or one single word about the order from House. The order status on my order when I login says ‘44-Unknown’ which makes me think it’s lost in the system.
Over the past weeks I have rung twice and spoken to Global Brands who on both occasions said they need to contact House to follow up the order and I received an automated email with a ticket # saying I would be contacted within 5 business days....which never ...Read more
happened. Also during this period I emailed a delivery query twice and in return also received an automated email with a ticket #. Now after waiting for almost 6 weeks, Xmas over and having to get hubby something else, I had had enough and went online to fill out an order cancellation and requested a refund through PayPal and guess what.....I received an automated email back with another ticket #. I now have 4 ticket no’s and really do not have much faith that I will hear anything from House in return after reading some of these reviews with similar situations. I have never struck a company before this with such deplorable customer service, well in fact it’s non existent, they blame the influx of orders in busy times but continue to have sales one after the other, so they will never catch up on outstanding orders. I also will never buy from this company again and urge other customers to be aware. Update 09.01.20 Well today I have received a full refund and an apology from Global Retail Brands saying that House was unable to fulfil my order.....could have let me know that when I first ordered it 6 weeks ago. All over now but still will never buy from them again.

Do not use house.com.au
Bought a product and paid promptly. It has been 1 month and no tracking number provided. Email and call never answered or replied. Could not ask for a refund as they never got back to me. Had to dispute the transaction with my bank. Do not buy from house.com.au !!!

Warranty replacement
The welds which held the handle on to my approximately 14 year old Baccarat stainless steel frying pan failed. I contacted Joel from House, and after sending him a couple of photos, I received a brand new replacement free of charge within a week or so. I am very happy with the service I received, especially since I didn't have a receipt after all these years.

Best Customer Service Ever
Auspost lost my parcel just two days before Christmas. Shannay was able to act fast and give solutions/answers to a devastated customer. I’m very impressed with her customer service. I wish her all the best. I hope she will shine in her field. She deserves more opportunities and better position to use her excellent skills. A big fat thank you to Shannay! Do not trust these people
I am currently waiting (and waiting) for a refund. No one answers their phone number - no one replies on their help line.
They quickly take you money then provide no service whatsoever.
Do not use them. Anywhere else is better.

Rude staff Jooondalup store
I purchased a frypan from the Jooondalup store, followed the instructions which stated use low heat as this product is designed to resist staining and discolouration under low heat cooking, pan was stained and discoloured after this one use, returned to the Jooondalup store to a very rude sales assistant who took the fry pan to the back of the store for 10 minutes, cleaned it with stainless steel cleaner the pan was returned covered in scratches we were told by a very rude sales assistant to clean it better wont be returning to house again or purchasing this brand I now know why they keep clearing their stock so often!

Horrible service
I am being generous to offer a 1 star. Went in to House Coomera at 10:30isham on 08th/12 o return a Pocket machine mini that was purchased on 23rd/11 which is 1 day past the return policy date and the staff would not except the return. They asked me to walk around and come back while they had to call their manager. The product was unopened or unused it just did not fit what we wanted it for, and we had retained the receipt for proof of purchase. nt for me to keep bringing them back back and fourth. At the beginning they offered to put it on gift card by the end they said they won't be able to do so. Easy to buy online but still waiting for products to be shipped
Their website is very easy to navigate and buy but that's where it stopped for me. This was my first time buying from House. I ordered and paid for 4 items online last week on 02/12/2019 and the order status still displays "In Progress". I have heard nothing about the items being shipped since completing my purchase. ow or Wednesday latest. But I'm still waiting for House Online to dispatch my order! I have just called their customer service number on 1300 136 936 this morning at 10am several times. Was on hold for up to 15 minutes each time I called and then an automated message saying I have called out of hours! Even though I have been calling since 10am AEST today, Monday 09/12/2019 which is not a public holiday. Their website and the automated message say call between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday which I have! How do I get in contact with their customer service staff? Not very happy that they didn't waste any time taking money but no rush for them to offer any aftersales service. It's no wonder their ratings are so low on Product Review! But instead of going by the poor reviews, I went against that and still bought from them hoping my experience would be better. What a regretful decision that was on my behalf. I had no choice but to email them! Their automated reply email says they'll be in contact with me within the next 5 business days...great! I'm just hoping I'll have what I bought delivered by Christmas and this will most definitely be my first and LAST time I buy anything from House. Rude staff
I purchase a wok from Joondalup store, when I got home notice the lid was damaged. I quickly returned to the store to let them know. I was told by a sales assistant that the item was not damaged when she had packed it . What !! I said
I couldnt believe what I was hearing . The sales lady stared to raise her voice at me . I stood my ground and the manager intervened and when she found out that the item was the last one in stock and a display item I was given credit . Not before I was subjected to rude and insensitive customer service .. .will not be returning to HOUSE if this is the way they treat their customers ..
Im soooo annoyed, not the way to treat us customers at all !!

Beware: Do Not Purchase From House Online!
I purchased over a month ago three items for the first time on the House website - two of these items were electrical and unfortunately faulty. I rang a Local House store and was told I could not return the products as they do not sell electricals in their stores, but that I had to contact Global Brands. o, but that an explanation of the fault would suffice. I was also told that House would contact me soon regarding this matter. A week later, no email, no phone call, so I rang them again and was told that I needed to give it a couple more working days. So I left it for another week. Ive just rung them and have been told that nothing has been done yet and that my request must have slipped through the cracks. Then I was told to send photos or a video of the fault. By this time I was in a rage. Plus I was told that a refund depended on what the manufacturer of the products decided - whether it truly is faulty or not. This is outrageous! Replacement of Faulty Items
Had the misfortune of receiving some faulty items after unboxing. Contacted House and dealt with Chloe who was fabulous in promptly assisting and rectifying the issue organising replacement after reviewing the photo's I was instructed to send. The item faults were an issue from the manufacturer and not House and thanks to Chloe my issue was resolved both politely and quickly.

Item broken on delivery - zero response
My online order arrived broken. Ive called and called their customer service line and emailed them several times too. No response. Went in store, refused exchange or refund. Poor customer service will never shop here again.

Greenhills East Maitland store is fantastic
Global retails brands customer service is very unhelpful nd ride.. I brought a faulty product before the store remodel. Now I can't get a replacement unless i travel to a shop over 4 hr round trip away that has the product I'm after.
