Lost Focus of Hewlett Packard

published

Hewlett Packard is by far the worst computer manufacturing company till date in my experience. The company speaks very highly of their products but in reality its the juxtapose. The vendor claimed that the system has a great processor with an updated software when I bought an HP product, but it came to me as a surprise that there is nothing extraordinary about the product. My PC is getting slower day by day. The company really needs to focus on the reason of its existence, being a Human Resource Associate in my company I believe the quality of the product or services delivered by a company defines the quality of people and management of the company.

Disappointing.

published

I should have had a checklist in my hand when I went to buy a computer. this 'HP Pavillion 24 all in one' for a start does not have a jack for an external microphone.
2nd. Nothing I can do to install an external DVD/CD burner R/W every time I try I get the same message 'unknown device no drivers', yet when checked I am told the driver is there. The worst configured PC I have ever had. that includes the latest version of Windows 10! I would not recommend this computer to any person wanting to do anything but look at the screen.

A very robust design

published

My HP Pavilion accompanied me to north-eastern Thailand during the Monsoon. I used it everyday for 3 months there, usually outdoors. It was shorted by water, repaired by a local technician, and worked as a well as ever. Back in Sydney it was stored in a hock shop for 2 months. Years after purchase I am using it now. No problem, though the fan is overworking. A very tough laptop. Great sound too from the B&O system when I listen to music.

Worst computer ever!

published

I got to the 12 month mark, just out of warranty when mine starting coming up with fan cooling issues and shutting itself down. The Battery doesn’t even last 2 hours. Not good if you’re flying interstate or overseas trying to work on it. The computer takes ages to load compared to when it was brought brand new, and I don’t even save anything to it, only to USB!!!
Now I know why the salesman was trying so hard to sell the extra warranty.
DISAPPOINTED and feeling ripped off considering my last HP was a great buy, and this was suppose to be one of the better laptops out there.

Purchased at Harvey Norman.

Do not buy

published

We bought ours a year ago for my wife to do basic word / outlook / excel tasks and some internet browsing. It worked ok for the first few months and then boot up times began to take up to 10 minutes and any basic searching or word tasks began to take up to 5-10 minutes to even load. And one drive is useless on this laptop can take hours to sync any changes made.

Doesn't deserve 1 star

published

Doesn't deserve 1 star avoid avoid avoid not even 6 months and LED screen cracks started in top left corner as a square. Next day full screen. Reading a previous couple comments this exact same issue occurred there's a manufacturer's issue. Jb-hi-fi refused to help said they could send it to hp for assessment but it would be deemed customer fault applying pressure to screen and I would be charged. No such pressure has been applied it's barely been used because it performs so poorly. Both store and brand have completely lost a lifelong customer won't buy with either again.

NEVER BUY HP AGAIN

published

yes HP Pavillion are absolutely terrible, these companies should not be allowed to sell this garbage, how do they get away with it? They are very helpful when you call them to tell them your battery no longer works, they put you through a few tests then tell you it should charge we will call you later. They did not call so I called them as it had not charged and never will. How do they get away with coning the public they should be held accountable

Hopeless HP

My new Pavillion notebook was a terrible mistake. Could not stay connected to Wi Fi for more than 3 minutes and battery continually drained. Off shore help centre polite but unable to resolve issue. They finally suggested repair shop in Singapore. I’m in Australia so not a reasonable option. Just don’t buy one.

The worst computer I ever have ever owned

published

This computer fails on many levels. It is chronically slow to boot up and operate. It keeps 'falling off' the internet. Even simple functions, like using word and excel, can be fine one day and the next it takes 10 minutes to open and keeps sticking. I'm not highly computer literate, but I can usually figure stuff out ... even the online fixes are difficult and often don't work. Really terrible... just don't do it to yourself.

Battery only lasts 2 hours; very slow - don't buy it

published

I bought HP Pavilion 15-CD004AU - big mistake. The battery only lasts 2 hours and is very slow. Complete waste of money. I have bought HPs in the past but won't be doing so again. Phoned HP to be told this was normal and that the programs I was using were draining the battery. I was using MS office!

HP Pavilion laptop, 15-cd004 - lemon

published

I bought this laptop with Windows 10 hoping to replace my old Asus laptop with XP. The specs looked good, but the performance is so bad it doesn't even rate a star. The Asus walks all over it even though it has much less computing power. Like others' experiences, this laptop is so slow and turns itself off before even getting to desktop stage. Wouldn't touch HP with a barge pole, based on this experience.

HP Pavilion - Completely Underwhelming

published

We required a new home laptop for general use. While price driven, I now realise this was a mistake. The HP purchased less than 2 months is so slow we are now reluctant to use it. While the laptop takes a while to start up, using it for anything associated with the internet is virtually impossible. I would not recommend and will certainly not be purchasing a HP in the future.

HP laptop is totally rubbish laptop and staff always do the formalities can not help ever. when i bought my laptop then they showed me over the moon formalities then now useless. All the time disconnect with WiFi and crash all the application. There is no even one star for HP. I would recommend all buyers do not go to buy this rubbish laptop and suggest other your friends as well. one more thing when we ask to replace and buy the new one they have lots of alternative and give this that this that and they say change hard drive, reset and many more but useless help.

End of my HP days

published

This laptop is sooooo sloooow. How slow is it!? I’m writing this review in Word and it took almost 30 second to open the Word app. I am absolutely bewildered as to why HP would make such a machine. I got this computer to replace an older laptop I used while teaching college courses because I had retired, needed a smaller laptop for when I was on the road in my motorhome and thought the older laptop would in the near future give out. That laptop lasted almost 15 years. It finally quit in January 2022, about five years after I purchased the HP 15. I bought HP AIOs twice in January 2022 and ended up taking them both back. Sorry HP, no more.

Regret this purchase

The most frustrating computer I have ever owned. So slow and it hangs all the time. I feel like smashing it with a baseball bat. Had it at the repairers but still no better. I thought if I bought HP that it would be ok quality. That was misplaced trust. Never again!

The answer whether you want your laptop to be more software and hardware robust than all the others in its price range. At the risk of repeating myself, my HP Pavilion has survived 5 years of daily use, a monsoon in Thailand (and a repaired short circuit there), being stored in a hock-shop, and flown across the Australian continent. Its Word software has written two books and numerous articles, it has never had virus issues, and each evening it runs hours of YouTube with Bang & Olufsen audio. I have never encountered a more reliable laptop, and I have owned Dells, Toshibas and Lenovos (which conk-out after 2 years).
