Slow repair
I bought this HP Spectra X360 Dec 2022 and now it doesn't work. The Battery is flat and the power cable does not charge it. It appears to be a Battery or charger problem. The problem was reported to HP and the unit has been sent to HP repair. It has been two weeks now and I still have no Computer. This is a business computer and no Computer no Work. This is virtually a new machine and top line. It is a beautiful machine when it works, but I expect RELIABILITY

Worst laptop I have ever owned.
Owned this laptop for one day and I want to throw it out the window. The fan is loud and does not stop spinning from when you turn it on. After a few minutes it is steaming hot. Do not go near this laptop.

Faulty product, appalling customer service
I bought a Spectre x360-13 online from HP. When it arrived I discovered for the first time from the packaging that it was a refurbished model. I rang and complained. I see that they have since updated their website to note models that are refurbished and there is a page discussing this. None of that was there when I bought my laptop.
The laptop worked fine for 3 days, then the problems set in. Most serious was that it either wouldn't connect to the internet or it wouldn't stay connected. I spent hours on the phone with an HP tech in India. He r...Read more

Poor Quality Expensive Product Overheating Issues
I bought this in Jan 2022, even buying extended warranty from the store and two weeks later the HP logo started popping out. I contacted the store (JB) they said they had nothing to do with it and to contact HP. After a few hassles I had the laptop replaced. Past few months I have had overheating issues with the laptop consistently to the point that I am too scared to use it and try and borrow my son's laptop to do my work. I was really frustrated and asked HP to give me a refund or replace the laptop but they refused, instead they replaced the...Read more
fan in the unit yesterday. The 1 Year warranty expires on the 27th of January and I am worried that I will have further issues with this inferior product and they will take no responsibility for it as it will be out of warranty. I paid $3200 for this laptop plus extended warranty.Purchased in January 2021 at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for A$3,000.00.

Great product, no issues so far, no regrets.
I bought the 3rd gen, (late 2022) Spectre X360 FHD, i7,8gb,512gb. As I said, this is the 3rd gen and from what I have read this is the one to get. Great build, all day battery, (without having to sacrifice screen brightness...), wonderful screen and plenty of power. I don't game so I can't speak to that but for video/photo editing and media consumption it's perfect. It's amazing how they have packed so much in to such a lightweight device, it's virtually bezel-less and has a small footprint, fit's easily in to any backpack. The online reviews are glowing and I can see why. Bought from Harvey Norman at boxing day sale for $1999. Highly recommended!

Cracked Screen, Over heating Batter, Touchscreen not working (three weeks old)
Three Weeks ago I bought the above ($1700) Laptop for my daughter as an early Xmas present for University next year as she has finished year 12 and will need a Laptop. We opted not to go cheap and buy something that would last her throughout her university days. Big mistake.
We have been away for the last two weeks and only used the laptop for one week minimum. Last Thursday we closed the laptop for the evening and all was fine. The next day opened the laptop and cracks appeared from the Microphone hole next to the Camera and started to sp...Read more
read out down the screen and at the same time the touch screen stopped working. We also noticed how hot the laptop would become and would take it off charge. To this point we are looking a three (3) Faults. After a bit of research this a common problem with this computer. HP won't acknowledge there is a world wide issue. Even Computer Technicians will tell you to steer clear of this one. Elevated to ACCC. There is also a Recall Safety Issue with Battery. Seriously, buy any other brand of laptop or printer
My wife and I bought two HP laptops in 2018, a decision I now deeply regret. We had previously sworn never to buy HP products again after HP began to sell products using known faulty parts (reported fact and they were fined for it) with endless failures. That was almost 10 years ago and we figured that surely they must have changed since then. My $3.4k HP Spectre X360 Convertible has just blown its motherboard and its precisely 11 months old today. HP has known about this problem since at least 2015 yet continues to sell their flagship laptop w...Read more
ith this well documented and significant problem. For the record, it is widely reported on their own support forum with over 4400 people reading and commenting about this issue clearly indicating they are having the same problem. Tomorrow I am demanding a full refund for my machine as I simply do not trust that HP will replace this with a better or reliable product. I note the review before mine states that they had theirs replaced at the 12 months mark and now at the 24 months mark, the machine has failed with the exact same problem again. HP, if you're reading this. you are destroying your brand with your persistence to use the cheapest parts and fobbing off your clients in the hope they just give up on warranty. The Australian Consumer Law was beefed up last year to force companies like yours to lift their game, improve their products and most importantly, honour their warranties. Change your culture or face extinction.Purchased in December 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for A$3,460.00.

Stay away from this product
Please don't buy hp products. We don't want you to regret spending money on HP. We owned two HP laptops and they've given us nothing but stress and problems. Troubles such as Bluetooth, speaker, battery, and motherboard not working. Our motherboard was replaced in less than a year. The HP spectre that we owned is not working at all after less than 2 years. It had given us so much trouble. Other products are a little more expensive but it's worth it than paying for a seemingly disposable HP laptops. We have seen other reviews and it seems like w...Read more

Very average
Pros: Lightweight, easy to take anywhere, nice design
Cons: Jumpy trackpad, finger scanner is slow/works intermittently, screen brightness could be better, speakers crack when put up to maximum, screen randomly starts flickering at times.
All in all, it's functional, but I would have expected better for a laptop that costs $2k. My last laptop was an Asus Zenbook that easily lasted 5 years. I probably wouldn't buy a HP again based on the performance of this laptop.

Cannot even get past the password security questions!
Does not work. Number one of the security questions to protect my password eventually worked but nothing else did so I have abandoned it. Second try with a spectre and certainly the last. Too many hours wasted trying to get them working properly.

Disappointed
Spending $2200 on a laptop i thought it would be good quality. To my disappointment i have had nothing but troubles with this notebook:
1. The speaker has crackles when you turn it up past halfway. I thought it was faulty and after troubleshooting 4 times, it was replaced. Again, the new speaker crackles, and has a terrible tinny sound.
2. The battery barely lasts 3 hours while internet browsing only. I wouldn't expect this at 1.5 year old.
3. The power button is not well designed. Many people complain (myself included) that the button we...Read more

Problematic laptop with incompetent customer service
I purchased a HP Spectre notebook last year, in or about April 2018. Since purchase, it has not functioned reliably (track pad and pen fidelity issues) and accordingly HP agreed to replace the unit. That was in June 2022. I was advised it would take 3 to 4 business weeks to replace the unit. It has been two months and I still am waiting on my replacement laptop. The replacement unit took a long time to come in - much longer than promised - and even though it is now available, it has been with the courier for a week (ie seven days). There are ev...Read more

HP x360 Great Tablet/laptop
This laptop/tablet is excellent! It is lite and has excellent features. Unlike most of the laptops on the market today, this has a 1TB harddrive as well as a SSD so windows OS loads quick while you still have the security of having your data on a HDD. Battery life is excellent. Screen brightness can be improved.

Lightweight easy to use laptop
The HP Spectre is lightweight and easy to use. It can be used as a smart device as the keyboard can be completely bent all the way. It has several sign in options such as face recognition and password protection. It is an intel I 7 technology so very powerful. The battery life lasts atleast 22-24 hours so its easy to take with you on a daily basis without having to charge it on the go. The only downside is that the fan starts too often even when the computer doesn't feel so warm.

charging issues and motherboard failure at 2 years
Laptop suddenly stopped working and wooldn't charge. When I searched the internet for troubleshooting information, I found this seems to be a common issue in the Spectre after a couple of years of use. Have been advised the cost to replace the motherboard is significant. Considering the price of this laptop when purchased new and the fact it has had light usage and been extremely well looked after, I think this is a huge fault. I'm not sure if later models have improved, but it seems that at 2-4 years old, previous models just die. For the premium price HP charge, I would have expected better, if not in quality, at least in ownership of the common fault and perhaps a recall.

HP X360 spectre laptop
Did lots of research before I purchased my X360 spectre
Purchased it dec 18.i found it very very slow.even slower than my hp pro book
Opening excel word etc was a challenge. It eventually die. It switched off and I could not switch it back on. I should have brought something around $1500 not $3000. I sent it back and they claim that I must take out take cord when it at 95% battery life or when reduced to10% battery power I must plus it back in. I don't have do that with HP pro book. In the end I was told nothing is wrong.
Today the x360 has just had screen freeze six times today. Clearly HP your wrong I brought a boat anchor.
