Best car I've ever owned - Powerful, comfortable & looks awesome!
I took delivery of my 2015 Gen F HSV Maloo R8 on 5th September 2015. My previous car was a 2007 Toyota Corolla Levin ZR, so it was quite an upgrade in power and performance to a beast like the Maloo R8. Engine is a 6.2 Litre LS3 generating 340Kw as stock. Electric power steering is adjustable from soft to harder for Sports driving, bi-modal exhaust lets you adjust the exhaust note from quiet to rumbling at the turn of a dial, auto parking (both parallel and end-in), heads up display is great, My Link information and entertainment system is grea...t however the software can be a little buggy. HSV do release software updates regularly, however they don't let you do them yourself (even though there are 2 USB connector in the car connected to the My Link system!). These must be done at a HSV dealer - even Holden dealers don't have the updates. Even with nothing in the tub and over the rear axles it is not "light" and holds the road like it's glued there. This car is a real head turner. I'm amazed by the number of people that say how good the car looks, even perfect strangers. Inside it's beautifully appointed. My main bug is that when the ignition is in "accessories" mode, the car turns off the radio/DVD player every 10 mins to "save battery" and you have to turn it all back on again. That's really silly. I'm sure the car has a big battery that can handle an hour of listening to the radio! Especially as the DVD came standard in the car - silly that it keeps turning off ever 10 mins. Apart from that the car is awesome and HSV's service and customer service is awesome.
