Hyundai IX35 radio
I bought a Hyundai IX35 in June 2014 and had trouble with the radio with no sound but not all the time. Everytime I told them it worked and then finally in 2018 it failed completely and a refurbished unit was put in. I had a Kogan phone, it wouldnt work with the radio, but I thought it was because of the phone. NOT. I bought a samsung sometime later but couldnt make calls on the screen of the radio as the LCD wasnt working properly. I couldnt also set the time LCD wouldnt work. I put up with it, MISTAKE. If you dont report it straight away, they arent ready to come to the party. I now have to pay half the costs to get it fixed. NOT HAPPY.

Ferntree Gully Hyundai is excellent
Fast and Friendly service from Ferntree Gully Hyundai. I had a minor issue with noise coming from the muffler of my 12 month old Tuscon, the service manager Mick Ruddick was very fast to have me booked in and replaced the whole muffler free of charge as it was a known fault. Very happy !

Poor Mechanical department!
The customer service in Lane Cove NSW is very poor. Assistant Manager Sam has NO IDEA about customer service. The mechanical department is also poor.
I was told I need new wheel bearings for my car which has only done 11,000 km and it would cost me over $565 plus labour costs. I knew this was not right for a new car so I took my car elsewhere.
A proper mechanic looked at it and found the Shaft Nut on my front wheel was dangerously loose, so much so the wheel was almost coming off! The nut was over 20mm loose and very dangerous.
This mechani...Read more

Customer service
Ferntree Gully Hyundai service always look after me when servicing or minor queries, they offer transport to your location and then will pick you up when your car is ready which is great for me saves organising a colleague to be my Uber. They also give you a free car wash and I like how you can ask for an approximate cost for the service and are always accurate, been going there for years and will continue!

Pathetic, brakes failed, negligence,
Just now
Pathetic, brakes failed even though car was being serviced by hyundai, goulburn every 6 months brake pads worn to metal causing failure, kept being told there was over 80% wear left, even though brakes were squealing for a year. Wheels weren't even removed to check or rotate tyres but lied on there service report, taking legal action. Do not trust.

Hyundai Capalaba dealer exceeded expectations
Btw, I very rarely review things but found the service yesterday surprisingly good. A staff member went through beforehand what i wanted done and the specific costs, both verbally and through the written agreement. It was a service, wheel alignment, and check a couple of minor niggles on our hatchback. The final bill was exactly what they quoted, which is typical price for this car. No extra charge for investigating and sorting the other small issues. They providing a lengthy detailed list of every procedure, costing, depth remaining on each brake pad & tyre, and full wheel alignment report. Then at the end the staffer took time to give a verbal run down of key matters in the report. And the free wash & vacuum was helpful. I'm impressed.

overcharging is a disgrace for servicing
Getting charged 1300 dollars for a service - included was 365 dollars for transmission fluid change - Needless to say went elsewhere where I was charged 660 dollars instead of 1300 dollars - and the charge to change transmission fluid was 105 dollars. I had a service 2 weeks prior as due to go on a 4 hour trip there and back and felt that the original service wasn't done at all even though I was charged for it. Will not be going back to Hyundai again. This was the Wollongong branch.

Don't Trust Hyundai Heidelberg (Makin & Luby)
I purchased a second hand Hyundai ix35 last month from these rogues. The cars salesman told me that the car had one previous female owner. After purchasing the vehicle I found out it was a rental car, if I had known this I would have walked away and not purchased. Makin and Luby Hyundai have no integrity, heart or soul. I am a single mother on a carers pension with a disabled child I don't work because I need to look after my son full time. I spent all my savings all I had on this car. Heartless as I also told them about my situation. Don't buy a car here and don't trust them with any thing they tell you. ROGUES

Service cost is misrepresented
My i30 is currently having its 6 year service which according to the official website and the local dealer, should cost $430. I’ve just been told that it’s due to have the brake fluid replaced, another $100 +. If it’s due to be replaced why is this not included in the quoted cost?
The local dealer say it’s nothing to do with them. Hyundai head office choose to not disclose this additional cost.
Overall the car is pretty rubbishy and I certainly wouldn’t buy another one.

DON'T TRY & RING THE SERVICE MANAGER!
No doubt the following is a curious tale for a business in a very competitive industry. Recently my son rang me and said that he had picked his car up from the Hyundai Service Department located about 45 minutes east of Adelaide where he bought it from. (I had recommended this dealer as I had purchased my car there) I said yes, anything wrong? He said yes They mucked me around with the time it would be ready even though I rang them and told them my work situation & then it was handed back to me dirty. I didn't have time to ask them why it wasn...Read more
't cleaned I had to go, but I ran the service department later & said to the woman who answered that I'd take it somewhere else next time given the poor service. Her response was OK I'll cancel your next appointment! Extraordinary attitude I thought, mine has been cleaned in the past. Maybe I better call the head Honcho, Service Manager to ask whether there has been is a change of policy as my vehicle was due for service. I thought I'd also ask some questions about the load assist kit for the Santa Fe while I had him on the line as the person I had previously spoken to in the service department had told me they didn't make them anymore! (not so). Well believe it or not he was reportedly in a meeting and a message was left. I was assured he'd ring me back. Late the next day I rang and left another message. That was some weeks ago, I'm still waiting for his call....? My son left a service review appraisal pointing out these issues. Someone in service tried to contact him but he missed the call. He rang back and left a message. He's still waiting for a call back as well?! If someone knows of a Hyundai Service Center in Adelaide where the Service Manager is prepared to talk to their customers please let me know!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Money making machine
I have done my Santa Fe service done with them and asked them to check my break noise. They have confirm the issue and ask me to authorized the repair work. I have asked them to fix the issue and confirmed this is the only the problem causing the noise from the break. After the car was repaired I have driven one week and parked the car in the garage for about another two weeks. Later when I try to drive the car again I have found the same noise coming out from the break. Upon contacting them they have booked for repair again and charged me for ...Read more
the same work they did three weeks ago. In an excuse they told me it's a ware and tare and the warranty does not apply. Under Australian law I should be covered but I don't have time to chase them for this repair work. So I decided to include my situation in my profile so that other people can think twice to go to heartland Hyundai. In summary the service department has reception knowledge and they will try to rip you off. Stay away from this dealership for service and repair work. thanksSimilar opinion? Hyundai didn't give me money to check the car
Today 10th of July I put my car for checking. I had some issues with my car like my back door was not open sometime. Smoke came from engine, GPS freezing etc. When I explained to the service guy. Then he told me Hyundai didn't give him money to check the car. Than I asked if next time these problem happen what should I do..the answer he gave me just bring your car on that time. I told him it means you can't solve the problem. When the car stopped than they will fix. I said it means I bought headache with my money.
After that incident I feel very upset. I am not happy with their approach.

Best service provided to me
I purchased a 2nd hand Hyundai i20 recently, it was within company warranty (3 years) however. After I bought, the rear window glass was a bit noisy so I spoke to Hyundai services and I provided them the VIN and chesis numbers of my car, after verification they booked me to attend one of their service centers nearby my house, which I did. They fixed the issue with the window, and the problem was solved. I was given lift to and from my house to collect/drop off the car. Very happy customer of Hyundai.

Poor Car Service
I had my car serviced at Service Center at Sirius Road, Lane Cove West.
Inclusive of the standard works performed at this service, they carried out a 'complementary update' on the map system. This update, in turn, crashed the system, which in turn was unable to reset. The audio unit could not be repaired, and has to be ordered. Thus, I'm now without the functionality of the Navigator, Radio, USB port is not working, as well as temperature control, etc.
This 'complimentary update' was not optional. I was not asked whether or not I actually wanted this update.
Prior to this service, car was working very nicely, with no issues.

Hyundai Faulty AEB
A warning to Hyundai buyers.
I purchased my Tucson Highlander on the 16th September 2016 from Peter Stevens Ballarat and from the start had a problem with the AEB, it does not work. I have tested it as the ABC did with a Hyundai on one of their programs. The AEB worked for them but failed for me six times. I have tested it with the help of another driver by approaching too close, it does not work.
According to the manual if the AEB radar is covered it will not work and a warning will appear on the dash. I have tried this with a heavy piec...Read more

. Fixed capped price service Mandurah - Hyundai Elantra
Not happy that I was charged $259 for fixed capped service by Mandurah Hyundai. I normally get my car serviced by Rockingham Service. I rang Rockingham Service department confirmed that the fixed price for my Hyundai Elantra is $219. Told Mandurah service department and they basically said too bad. Not happy. Even though I have now finished the fixed price capping, I will NOT be taking my car nack to Mandurah

Total rip off and rude customer service
Sonata 2002 needed 90k service. Took a full week and a day to complete. Lots of "repairs" arose during this service, ended up costing just under $2000, for a 19 year old just starting off in the working world. No compensation no discount on asking. Just a rude group of people sitting behind their desks. I will never give them my business again, on telling them this, they didn't care. Most unprofessional. Lane cove Hyundai you are only as busy as your customers are satisfied.

No respect for their customers
I purchased a new car from Hyundai Nunawading . I had to wait a few days for the car to come in. As I just left the dealership I noticed 190kms on the clock. I didn’t have time to turn around and go back as I was running late to an appointment so I called the dealership straight away......had to leave a message as manger and owner were not available. I’m still waiting for a call back. I have called once or twice a day for the last week and have left messages for the franchisee owner to call me back. Customer care has also emailed him requesting...Read more

I have just gotten my car back for its 24month service when i dropped my car off i informed the dealership that my car had conpletely shut off power while I was driving not once but twice and when i went to pick my car up they told me they couldnt find any faults with the computer software or mechanics but they have done a software update that 'should' fix any problem.

We bought a new getz in 2010. In 2012-13 started shutting off. Very concerning as daughter needed it to drive to school in country area. Could not find any problem ad dealer after checking, but after last check, they performed electrical tests and found main relay getting hot "excessive, they did what needed to be done. Since then no problem.
