A worry

published

I love the car, it drives well and tows my small caravan well. But the gear often gets stuck in park, it sometimes vibrates when idling, the door seal has split, and recently the accelerator has taken a few seconds to respond after slowing down to enter a round-about, this is a very dangerous situation when there are cars boring down on you. I now feel very unsafe in the vehicle. Because the problems don’t occur on the service depts test drive they say there is not a problem. I am very disappointed in Hyundai and it’s so called “care”. I can’t recommend anyone buying one and I would like to sell it but can’t sell s potential death trap. I would hate up cause injury or death to someone.

Traded a near new RAV4, which I Didn't like.

published

Drives well, ample power (diesel). Plenty of room in the interior; boot could be a bit bigger. Comfortable.Nice dash. Reasonable fuel consumption as low as 7 on a run down the Hume, around 8.4 around town. Satnav volume is too low (turned up as high as it will go).Muffler and engine noise a bit high, but not annoying. Radio doesn't display singer/song. Handles well, especially on corners.

Dodgy Switches

published

At 11 months the switch to activate the cruise control stopped working. I can feel that it no longer physically "clicks", but the dealer says they need to have it for at least 4 hours just to plug it in to the computer to get a readout of the problem (before they can even think about repairing it). About 3 weeks later the switch for electronic parking brake literally collapsed, so now no park brake!
In the lead-up to Christmas had no time to sit in a dealership all day just to get the problem "analyzed", so waiting for later in Jan. Hope no more switches fall apart in the meantime.
