Great, no fuss high chair
I've used the Ikea antilop high chair for both my children. It is now 3.5 years old and still in perfect condition.. Super easy to clean., light weight and portable. The only issue is that it doesn't have an over the shoulder harness but other than that, I can not fault it.
easy to clean, takes up minimal space
No over the shoulder harness

Save your money, buy one of these!
This is the best high chair you can get, outperforms $200+ chairs because of it's simplicity. We had to buy it in Melbourne as we don't have an Ikea in Darwin and brought it back on the plane. It's our 3rd high chair in 6 months, the other two were just too hard to keep clean. It comes apart so easily for transportation, is light, stable and just so easy to clean

Ikea high chair
Love this chair. Bought it for my baby boy when he was 6 months. It still looks the same and he is nearly 3. Really easy to put together, super easy to clean as well. You simply snap the tray off if you get little bits of food stuck in the cracks and wipe down.
so easy to clean and so cheap

A must for every baby!
This high chair has become a family fave!! I have one and so do my brother and sister! Its the present I give most of my friends who are pregnant! It is so light, easy to use, easy to clean and also a great size! The chair isn't huge and bulky so looks fine in any home. It has no creases or elastic or fabric where food gets stuck, it is so so easy just to wipe clean! We stick the tray in the dishwasher if there has been a real mess. You can also buy a padded back pillow if you want it!
Easy to clean, use and store

Best high chair ever!
We love this high chair! I researched so many high chairs before finally purchasing this one. It's light and made of all plastic/metal so that you can literally hose it off if you wanted to. No food gets stuck down the sides or on any material like other chairs and the tray clicks off easily so that you can give it a good wash! Best part about it is that it's only $24.99! Oh and it's also light, I can pick it up with my son INSIDE to move it!
Light, cheap, easy and doesn't take up much room!
Probably not the most comfortable but plenty of room to add a cushion if you need to!

Great high chair, save money
I bought this high chair for one and half year, still love it. My son is 20 weeks now, his weight is 12KG and still can fit to the chair. It is very use to clean, easy to disassemble and carry along. I bought the high chair tray and Supporting cushion together, however I don't like the cushion, when my boy was 6 months, if I putted the cushion in, he can't sit in, so I think if you bought this high chair don't buy the cushion, only can be used for a few months.
Easy to clean

Best high chair!
I bought this high chair as a temporary one just before moving house.
After using this and then getting an expensive fisher price - I very quickly went back to using my cheap ikea one!
Comes apart so easily,I can easily take the tray off and throw into the dishwasher for a big mess.
Very easy to clean with no nooks & crannies for food and crumbs to get caught in!
Cheap, easy to clean
No bells and whistles.

So easy to clean!!
The Antilop High chair is excellent value for money - really affordable an easy to find at any Ikea. It is lightweight and can be easily dismantled for storage or transport - I have a friend who used to keep one in the car just for outings! The tray can be purchased separately, saving you money if it is unnecessary for you, and without the tray it can be used as a seat at a normal dining table - it has a similar footprint to a dining chair ( we did have to take the little rubber feet off of ours to fit the highchair under our table) It also loo...
Read moreks very stylish and sleek in a modern home, nice and unobtrusive. We actually have two permanently set up at the dining table, and they don't look out of place at all! BUT the best feature is - it is so easy to clean!! I have had expensive highchairs in the past that took such an effort to clean - ridges and channels in the trays and badly designed padding. There are no nooks or crannies for food to become trapped in with the Antilop - just a nice smooth surface that wipes clean in seconds! inexpensive, easy to clean, modern design, dismantles It is not suitable for very young or small babies as there is no padding, and the harness needs to be adjusted frequently to maintain saftey as it does works loose.- 4 reviews
Love, Love, Love this High Chair!
We love this high chair! I would happily recommend this high chair to anyone! My daughter also uses it as a walking aid :-) We have easily taken it on holidays with us as it comes apart with ease and takes up no space! Baby no. 2 is on the way so we will need another. We purchased one for Grandma's house too!
Light, easy to clean, comes apart very easily to take on holidays or to someones house, has the bar between the legs for extra safety (the ones without are useless!!)

The only high chair you'll need!
Before I had my baby I was told by dozens of friends to get the Antilop Highchair because of it's simplicity and ease of cleaning, but my sister in law gave us one of the fancy Prima Pappa high chairs that reclines and goes up and down etc
I used that chair once and very quickly realised how impractical it is for messy babies - too many creases and crevices for food to get stuck in - far too hard to clean.
The antilop is light enough to pick up with one hand and move it where you would like it, the legs come off super easily so you can take it in the car on trips with you, and it's all plastic so can just be wiped down easily. Love it.

Highly recommended
Love this highchair. We ditched our super-duper padded highchair once we found this. It's so simple and easy to clean. Plus by taking off the tray, it makes an excellent first chair for a toddler to join everyone at the table. Very easy to dissemble and take in the car too, we often take ours when we go on holidays.
Simple, easy to clean.
Not height adjustable.

The ideal highchair!
My kids were extremely messy eaters and when learning to feed themselves the food ended up everywhere. This high chair was so easy to clean compared with others I've used. Even when my kids managed to get food underneath the tray, it unclips easily and I'd wash it off in the bath. It's sturdy but light which I appreciated as I moved it daily from the kitchen (for day use) to the dining room (for dinner). The legs unclip as well which meant we could even load it in the ute and take it camping with us!
Easy to clean. Light and portable.

Great inexpensive chair that is welll designed
I was given a very expensive high chair but it drove me completely nuts with all of the crevices and grooves. I was horrified with the amount of rotting food that would get trapped everywhere. It was bulky and despite it having every feature possibly imaginable I went out searching for something else. So I bought the Ikea Antelope High Chair in red. It is one piece of plastic that takes seconds to clean in a one wipe type fashion. It is lightweight, has a connecting tray and is easy to pack up and store. It has been refreshingly great and for t...
Read morehe cheap price it is a bargain. I also bought one to keep at the folks house. Baby finds it comfortable and eats happily in it everyday. It is lower so baby fits in with the rest of the family at a standard sized dining table. It is a bit of a bend down if you're standing to feed baby so I recommend getting a chair for yourself. I was worried that it doesn't have a foot rest for baby, however, she couldn't care less and it doesn't give her a foothold to try and stand. Ikea have a great product here that are very popular. Now I know why! Lightweight, easy to clean, inexpensive and well designed None- 46 reviews

Very easy to clean, simple high chair
Friends who have padded high chairs hate the constant cleaning and food getting stuck. No such issues with the Ikea Antilop. It is simple and easy to clean, four legs come out easily so you can take it with you on holidays or elsewhere. There is a cushion insert you can purchase separately, we used it for a short period of time but bubs kept putting food all over it so we took it out. A great simple high chair
Easy to clean, good size, cheap
Legs do stick out a bit and I have tripped over them a few times just need to be careful. I wouldn't leave baby unattended as the strap is very simple and have already caught my baby standing up in his high chair

Great secondary highchair to have at Grandma's house
This is a very simple highchair, which makes it very easy to clean. It's not padded and doesn't have any fancy bells and whistles, so we have it as a backup highchair for when we are visiting Grandma's house. I use it with the cushion insert, also bough from Ikea which makes it safer as there is less room for bub to wriggle around in his chair, and also makes it more comfortable for him.
Cheap, easy to clean, easy to transport as the legs pull apart.
It has a simple strap only, so I would never leave baby unattended in this chair, I would not feel comfortable to turn my back not even for a second.

Great cheap highchair
Although it is used only occasionally, the highchair has now managed to have 3 grandchildren go through it and I'm almost onto the forth. A really simply no fuss design which you can pick up and move around with one hand. Great when the other hand is holding a small child. Simple to clean which is a bonus with no little cracks or creases where food can get into and bread bacteria. its latest 4 years and looks as though it will last much longer. Have had some very active toddlers sit in it and have never had it tip as per previous reviews. The smarter child can certainly un click and try to get out of it but you should be supervising them anyhow.
Light easy to clean and has lasted years
strap is a little simple for children to undo
Tips over!
My mother bought this high chair for use at her house when I bring my one-year old son over for visits. It is inexpensive and easy to clean, but I don't think those are very good reasons to buy this chair. The very first time my son sat in it (he is 29 pounds) he tipped it. I am astonished at the design of this chair. So flimsy. Also the straps/restraints are very poor. My son wriggled up and back out of the straps. After several tippy moments, my mother said she would never use it again. I went and bought a solid one to take to her house instead. I think it is terrible to risk a baby's safety and skull for a lower priced item. Not worth the savings! This is dangerous.
Dangerous. My son tipped it on first try.
A would like to add to Bellbeach's comment, that 5 children have used ours right through to 20 kg where they can climb in and out by themselves as we use them at the dining table and I have never even...
Read more seen one wobble, let alone top over. I believe this high chair is simply the best & most practical design on the market. We replaced a $380 high chair with this. The fact that it is inexpensive is a bonus, it is simply FANTASTIC.That's a real shame about your experience with the chair. Your son must have been strong to try and tip the chair as there is no foot hold for them to lever off? How on earth did he do it? Just from rocking vigorously back and forth?

Perfectly simple
We were lucky enough to have the Ikea high chair recommended by a friend who has several kids. It's simple to clean and inexpensive. I've since recommended this high chair to several friends with babies and everyone loves it. Our baby has sat well and eaten well in it since 6 months of age and she still loves it now she's nearly 1 year old. It's also portable and we took it with us on our most recent holiday at Easter.
Easy to clean and Inexpensive
It is basic. It you're looking for something premium go with a Stokke or similar.

The best high chair you can get
I first found this highchair at cafes and pubs and thought it was absolutely perfect.
So easy to clean, assembled and disassembled easily for travel, lightweight, three colours to choose from, doesn't take up much room, no cracks or crevices for food to hide in.
Oh and it's ridiculously cheap $40 including the tray!
I love this chair and recommend it to anyone.

When it comes to highchairs - less is more!
It is easy to get caught up in the bells and whistles of the super padded, hi-lo, foldable, deluxe models when buying a highchair. I know because I did. In our first highchair, my baby would look like she'd been swallowed by it, with her little arms raised up at shoulder height to grab her food. Not to mention the food getting caught up in all the padding and restraints. With this Ikea highchair, bubby sits upright and is in on the eating action. I love that it wipes clean so easily, which can only be more hygenic. If we eat lunch outside, when we're done I give it a hose down and have it clean in seconds.
Easy to clean, baby sits at a good height to access the tray, great value.

Inexpensive Essential
A very good high chair which is easy to clean. Comfortable and with the added padded element even more so. As I read a little more about high chairs I discovered that ergonomically a foot rest is preferred so I ended up getting another one but still used the ikea one as a backup.
Looks good. Easy to clean.
Ideally high chairs for children should have a foot rest.

So easy to clean!
When bubs was young I had one of the full seat chairs (Babycare) which was great but so hard to clean! So when she could sit up we got the Antilop, it's great. Main features are ease of clean and super cheap, also it's in all the cafes so bubs and grandma are all familiar with it. I've kept the other chair for the high bench as Antilpo doesn't raise up high enough, but it's great for the table. Check your table heights before you purchase as it isn't adjustable. So great to clean and very good looking, can purchase a padded bit to add to seat if needed.
Cheap, easy to clean, familiar
Non adjustable height

so simple and clean
I purchased this high chair for my first bub nearly four years ago and almost completely based my choice on price. Second bub is almost two and still uses it. It is easy to clean and sturdy but hard and unsupportive. The tray was sold seperately and although I bought a red chair, the tables only came in white.
easy to clean, good value
not soft and comfortable for a long time, doesn't support young bubs who are only just learning to sit up

Easy to clean
As a new mum I had no idea about what to buy and what not to. I purchased a $300 high chair which was good but omg it was hard and time consuming to clean. I love this Ikea high chair as it is quick and easy to clean. Probably not the safest high chair? I used my expensive one when my son was young then used this Ikea one. Once I got the Ikea one I never used the other one again. Like I said he was older and not little baby. I'd say to use the Ikea one child would have to be sitting up by them self. My friend leaves her child in a padded high chair for a long time and unattended so Ikea one not good for this but just to eat and get out it is great.
Cheap, easy to clean, light to move around, fits at a table well
Not as safe, not padded

Ikea Antilop High Chair **IMPORTANT: EASY TO CLEAN!**
This high chair can be found in heaps of homes and businesses for one main reason. It's smooth plastic char and table is super easy to clean.
Other chairs can look more comfortable for the baby, but this translates to hard to clean crevices in the cushioning, longer meal times and longer clean up times.
Oh, and it's cheap compared to other high chairs, at around $50 for chair and table and another $10 for a cushion lining (really only useful for bubs under 9mths) it's cheap enough to have a second one at grandma's.
I don't want to spend the...
