Card payment only DISAPPOINTMENT
After spending some time in lockdown due to the COVID-19 finally at the end of May I decided to visit the IKEA store at Marsden Park in order to get some furniture. I always loved their product and would shop there quite often.
Just before entering the store I was told by the security personnel that IKEA stopped accepting Cash payments and Card payments would be the only option to be used.
My DISAPPOINTMENT was so great that I left immediately and decided not to shop at any IKEA store ever again.

I bought Ikea Queen Bedframe MALM with Mattress on 2/5/20 with delivery option. I was promised for delivery on 3/5/20 on the Invoice. It finally partially delivered on 4/5/20 with no reasons for partial delivery. edged that they will make sure to deliver the missing part and stating that it is customer responsibility to keep following up till the delivery of the missing part and I am still chasing them for the whole week spending lot of time and unable to reach their contact centers as the phone continuously busy and my problem still not resolved. Unprofessional customer support team and poor delivery.
Spent a few thousands in Ikea due to moving into a new house. Had to call them 3 times to notify that they still have pieces and products missing. The last time I called some rude lady by the name of “Maria” from the customer support team in Nsw (could be a fake name) was so rude and did not try to help rectify my situation. It was like she just wanted to hang up. It was not like a spent a few hundreds, I spent over $5000 and I would at least like my money’s worth in service as well! Poor customer service definitely wont be going back to Ikea ever again! If I could, I would’ve loved to return these products for a refund!

Terrible delivery service
Just cancelled my order because the delivery service is terrible. The deliver guys didn't complete the job and told me that they are not allowed to take the goods on the stairs if there are more than 30 steps. which is ridiculous and i wasn't expecting IKEA to sub contract these unprofessional people for their delivery services

Misleading information from customer services
Bought a mattress topper used it for couple of days not happy with it, looked at return policy and called customer services to confirm I can return it for refund, they even checked with there manager, take to store purchases from with receipt for refund, drove 30 mins to find I can only exchange for a different topper, not wanting another topper, I asked for a store credit, that was refused. I understand it’s used but to only be able to get another girl me was wrong if I got a store credit I would still be spending money in ikea. Both times I called customer services from my mobile I waiting over 20 mins. Will never shop at ikea again.

Tasmanian Pickup (what a joke)
Ordered and paid for 2 chair cushions on 12th January, notified on 16th that they had been dispatched to collection centre in Tasmania for pickup on 23rd, now 25th.I have heard nothing and there is no number to ring or email address to contact them.

Customer Purchase, No Purchase, No Tell.
So I get a document with Order Number, Date of Delivery, Time of Delivery and Total amount incl. GST $608 for a Table and Chair I thought was successfully purchased online that was Approved. one from Ikea even contacted me, nor was I even informed by email of the decline. I said to customer service, "if my Visa Card was declined. Why did I get a Order Number and Date of Deliver"? Apparently, even when the system of Ikea declines your Visa card, you still get a Acknowledgement of Order. (Doesn't make sense, does it). So I ring back at 8pm because they close at 8:30pm and I'm calling for and it's almost 9pm and realise, they just have a continuous recording. No announcement on the phone of Ikea of closing time. Disaster is an understatement
I did two $99 planning sessions with Ikea to finalise an order, placed and paid for the order only to have it not arrive per planned delivery. That was when the trouble started- as others have said on this forum, the wait times to call IKEA are about 45 minutes, and, when you do get through eventually the service is unable to assist, unhelpful and generally lacks knowledge.

Poor quality
I bought a Millberget revolving chair. The thread holes were full of paint and the screws are not going in. I have spent more than an hour to clear them. Then the unit that screws on to the bottom of the seat to enable up and down motion is not matching. That means out of the four holes only two holes are matching and two of them in air. The quality is terrible. Never visit IKEA again

Brilliant service and delivery!
I ordered 2 kallax shelves and a kids table last Thursday, it was really easy to navigate the website and check out was a breeze. I set the delivery date for today (Sunday 30th) and received an email yesterday stating the delivery was going ahead as planned. Today I received a text message at 2:30pm saying my products would be delivered by no later than 3pm. Great service, very good quality
I purchased an ikea kitchen, very good service helpful, their staff made it easy, installation 2 days of work and I was done. Read a lot of bad reviews on here, however I took my chances and I’m glad I did don’t let bad reviews hold you back, end of the day people with good reviews rarely write them up. If you install the kitchen properly no issues with anything. It’s a very smart system, built to last longer than a custom kitchen.

Online order. Courier went to wrong address 10 numbers up. Item missing. No paper receipt.
Ikea or the courier ANC, SMSed a tracking link for the truck 30 mins before estimated delivery. Got a call 5-10 mins after the estimated time of arrival from a guy with an Indian accent. He was trying to say he was here, I could work out that much. I told him I didn't see him. He said something, and soon ended the call. I didn't get a paper receipt like when I got delivery in person at the store. Going through the items I noticed a small dent and paint scuffed off one of the bins, and a cheap flat box was missing. Delivery Failure - Very Poor Customer Experience
Purchased a sofa-bed from store at Marsden Park and needed delivery. Was promised next day between 1pm and 5pm - received call from IKEA at 4:50pm saying that the delivery would be between 5:30 and 6:00pm (sorry!). At 6:10 rang IKEA to ask where was delivery - was told that they could not tell me what time the delivery would be and no they could not contact the driver. Any complaints take it up with IKEA, which is funny as IKEA said that this was the delivery company's fault. The worst shopping experience
I purchased a bed it came with no bolts or slates. I was not informed that the bed didn't come with slates who has ever heard of a more absurd thing that a bed does not come with slates because they want to charge us extra money. Went back to Ikea to pick up the bolts Ikea told us they don't have the bolts so they sent us to another Ikea we went to a 2nd Ikea then they tell us they cant get the bolts till the store is closed. on top of that we had to spend extra money on the slates . we had wasted 3 extra hours running around to different locations for no results until the next day which we still did not receive all the bolts. we had spent over $1,500 we will never shop at Ikea again

It was so easy. Just walked in through the exit, went up on the counter and the lady took 2 mins and brought everything out on a trolley and off I went.

Bad experience.
Went to Marsden Park Ikea on 2/1/18 in the evening.Waited in storage n cupboard section for a good 40 minutes before a lady arrived to answer our queries but she appeared to be in a hurry and was least helpful and no smile on her face.very poor customer service therefore I just left the shop without purchasing what I wanted

Completely Incompetent...
Ordered $8,200 kitchen on a Sunday to be delivered between 1 and 5pm the following Thursday. Took the day off and no one showed. After an hour on hold they said they'd deliver the following Thursday only to receive a call from a courier at 6pm on Friday that they were at the house. Currently on hold for another hour to check if they will actually deliver next Thursday. Taking incompetence to new heights.
Avoid if you can.

There is a very Swedish Easter Buffet for 17 April 2022. It is one of 3 buffets they host annually.
I enquired on 21 March 2022 about the menu and was told it was not finalised, there is a delay and will be posted online as soon as it was ready.
I checked again on 5 April 2022 (Friday) and it is still not online. When I called Customer Service, I got the same message as on 21 March that it was still not ready and may be up later this week or next. How does Ikea expect its customers to make a booking and pay for it without knowing what the menu is?

If youre not getting a response from Ikea then perhaps book elsewhere. With thousands of restaurants to choose from surely one would take your fancy.
