Spectacular performance. No comparison.
The InovaAir E8 compares to other purifiers like a gun compares to a banana. They look kinda the same, but in reality they aren’t even close. My Breville 300 Air Purifier was better than nothing, but the InovaAir E8 is in a whole different league. First night of E8 ownership - having gone to bed and turned it on due to heavy, eye-stingy, throat-scratchy, can’t-breathy smoke. Woke up around 3am thinking “oh good...the smoke has passed.” Opened the bedroom door. Nope - worse than before. But the bedroom was pure as Himalayan mountain air. This thing WORKS. Worth every dollar!

High quality air purifier, excellent for smoke
I purchased the E8 for my house to reduce the risk of exposure to bushfire smoke, particularly for my two children. I have had the E8 for 3 weeks and I am very impressed. I mainly run the unit near the bedrooms at night, but also during the day when the smoke is a problem. I have also purchased the Inovaair E20 for use in the larger living areas. To deal with the smoke risk I was previously using a reverse air conditioner on recirculate and a Dyson purifier but being an engineer I wanted to test the fine particulate measures using an air quality measurement tool and found that I was still exposing my family to dangerous fine particulate. That is when I decided to purchase a proper air purifier and after extensively researching the market I purchased the E8 and couldn’t be happier because it has reduced the level of fine particulate to a safe level and removed the smell as well. Also as an engineer I am very impressed with the design and build quality, not too often these days to get a product manufactured in Australia.

Carbon filter only lasted one day
HEPA filter aside, the carbon filter claims to have a longer lifespan (3-5years) than other brands, yet it is destroyed after one night of cooking. Told the filter is saturated and needs a new filter by innovair customer service, the device is brand new and only used once to filter residual smell after cooking in bedroom. Thought I will buy and support aussie company but not impress with the misleading claims on their website and the response I received when I feedback the problem to them. I seriously wish I bought it earlier!
The E8 is easy to use. Improved my breathing/hayfever symptoms. Easy to put together. Saw improvement throughout the house overnight. Found improvement after a couple of hrs of it being on at full. It is a bit loud but no louder than the ducted air conditioning. And to be honest it could be louder and I'd still have it on to be able to breathe properly with all this bushfire smoke playing up hell with my hayfever.

r. Tip to prospective buyers – read and understand well what your needs are well before purchasing. Beware health websites that advertise similar products – they may be a Sponsor, not necessarily the best product (we discovered this by accident). Compare specifications carefully and match it to what you need not what someone else has recommended – their health needs may differ extensively from your own. You may have to pay a little more but in one case an expensive product turned out to offer much less, once we compared specs.Purchased in February 2021 for $755.00.

great product, noticeable health improvement
I bought this air purifier for our bedroom, along with a larger model from the same company (see my review with more detail on the larger model, the DE 20 Plus). We run them both at the same time in the house. This model doesn't have as many bells and whistles as the larger one, it only has 4 speed settings. But it's doing what we want it to do - purifying the air. Our respiratory health has increased since using these air purifiers. Great product
We actually purchased the E8 model with additional 2.5kg activated carbon filter. Great air purifier! This has helped with improving quality of sleep at night and my allergies overall have improved. Its also removed the dreaded musty odour from the bedroom when it was closed up. Plan on purchasing the larger E20 Plus model for our living room soon.

The instructions say not to use it for cooking, so I don't use it while cooking. I haven't changed the filter yet. I don't think I have exposed to large quantities of VOC, but recently I had some building work done in the house and it was very effective in removing the chemical smell

o this but we have never had a customer do this in 1 day. The surface area of 2.5 kilograms of activated carbon is very large and this carbon filter is one of the highest capacity filters on the market -most air purifiers contain only a few grams of activated carbon. InovaAir recommended filter change intervals our based not only on our tests but the intervals of thousands of customers using them in real world conditions. With your air purifier you should have received a printout called "Tips For Getting The Most Out Of Your Air Purifier" point 6 states: "If you want to prolong the life of the activated carbon filter, you should turn the system off while cooking or if there are any heavy transient odours" . We did offer a significant discount to you on new filter. If you choose you can run the system without the carbon filter and you will still have all of the benefits of particle reduction of the H13 HEPA filter.
