Good pool for the price
Pool went up pretty easy as we have had one before. This one is a 3.6m x .99m so it is bit deeper. We put down a foam mat base to protect it after reading about how many sprung leaks. These seem thicker than they were a few years ago too. This one took 10,000 litres exactly to fill up to 800mm deep. We also have a permanent fly over it and a cover. The filter is doing a good job but has to be cleaned every week. We use a hose propelled vacuum and a floating chlorine dispenser. Feels quite sturdy and is a great pool for two or three adults or a small family. Very happy.

Poor product
Last year I purchased a metal frame 12 Ft. pool from Intex. I had previously had the type that had the inflatable ring around the top which leaked air daily until I had to take it down. I thought this would be a better product due to cost, etc. Boy, was I wrong! After much effort to assemble and set "just right," the liner leaked immediately! It took 6 months to receive the replacement. Yesterday, I assembled the pool with the new liner; believing the other was just a fluke! Well...having paid (twice) to have water hauled in - a costly price - sure enough - it leaks! Really bummed as I live in the country and with little cash to spare, I am now out all that money and without a pool. Pure junk - poor product, poor customer service.

Review of intex 26' above ground pool
Be prepared to spend a whole lot of extra money on an Intex 26' round pool. The pump and filter supplied is not adequate for this pool. I ended up having to purchase a Hayward pump & sand filter and thru the wall skimmer and then hard plumbing it. Before buying an Intex people should shop around and you can usually find a pool with correct equipment and of better quality installed for what the Intex pool is going to end up costing you. Also don' call Intex for help, support, or warranty the are not helpful and their warrants are not what you expect (read the fine print). I am very unsatisfied with their products and will not make this mistake again.

This is a waste of money
Paid $400.00 for a pool to use as swim therapy for our nine year old son who has Cerebral Palsy. No problems setting it up yesterday. Got up this morning and the pool is leaking. We tried to patch it. Warranty is void because we set up the pool. Pool is a waste of money.

biggest turd I've ever seen
I bought their 18'x48" easy set. This is an absolute piece of crap. You name it, I've had a problem with it. You could flick a booger at this thing and put a hole in it. I cant express enough how horrible and cheaply made these really are. A complete waste of a $500 initial cost. Take it from me, you've been warned. Don't be a dummy and buy the their products. Never again!

Filter/pump died and Intex doesnt sell them in Australia
I just found out why the pool was so cheap. It must have been a case of bulk buying and now I come to find out that there is no Intex Australia so I cannot replace the defective pump. Oh BTW this is the fist summer I used the pool.

The pool is the best value for money product we have purchased. We have had it now for 4 years and there are many more left in it. Hunter Products in Vic who are the importers have handed the parts distribution to Clark rubber. What a mistake that was. Clark will try to sell you any other part that can be modified to do the job from the similar pools they sell. A genuine part is the last thing they will sell you as obviously they make more $$ from their own parts. They stock next to zero Intex parts, and anything they don't have they are not ...Read more
even interested in getting for you. They'll tell you "I can't help you. Minimun order from the supplier is $500.00". So, they are the appointed spare parts distributor but they don't have parts because $500 is a lot of money in spare parts to them - bank rejected their $500 loan application or the store is on stop credit!! So call Hunter direct and they will help you out. There guy in parts is a nice guy and genuine. We have only needed pump hoses and recently a new pump. We purchased it from Big W for $60.00 odd and we had a shock when we opened the box and found not only the pump but a set of new hoses (that clark sold me their brand for $30 the theives) new hose clamps, and new blue fittings that fit onto the pool wall. Once these stores like Big W get more pools sold we will find that they will carry more parts and accessories that fit onto these pools. If you think that a part will need changing soon don't leave it until the last minute as you will run around like us with none to help you 'last minute' but clark rubber, as they are the only other company that sells small above ground pools. Don't waste your time with any pool shop as they are not interested. We have even had a guy laugh at us when we told him what type of pool we had. He then completely s..t himself when I showed him my badge and that if he would like me to have the last laugh. We are looking forwarded to purchasing one of the larger rectangular pools they have as the kids are getting older now and want to swim laps. Great value for around $1000.00. Great Pool just don't let Clark make you get pissed of with pool! Be organised and learn your pool and you will be extremelly happy. Just the right size for all our friends kids 5-12 year olds. Very cheap for what you get. Systems available in USA that plug into skimmer box (like a creapy crawly) not available here. Difficult to vacuum fines (resudure from what the chlorine has killed) from the bottom. Parts are difficult to get such as filters although BIG W is carrying more and more parts such as replacement pumps.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Pool great fun and given hours of enjoyment
We purchased a 15' round Intex Pool which was easy to assemble; but getting a flat platform to erect pool on took at lot of time, effort and money as our garden slopes (which we hadn't taken into account before we purchased pool).
Pool is great for teenagers, deep enough and with room to have fun.
Pump leaks and is hard to seal after cleaning filter - don't know if we were just unlucky or if this is normal. Unfortunately couldn't find receipt to take it back.

Love it. Worth every cent I paid for it. Taught my son to swim in the pool, larger sizes are big enough for adults to have fun in. I bought the pool 3 years ago and reassemble every year. Easy for one person to assemble.
Everything. Keeps kids entertained for hours.
Can't think of any.

Good
shop around for a good deal, try eBay for example. A great pool for the money, with hours of fun with the kids!!
I have a 15' pool. Easy to setup, great pool for kids and adults too!!.
Only paid around $350(was on sale at Kmart)but had to wait 4 weeks to get a reincheck.however its worth the money sa the kids have had hours of fun.
the pump supplied with the pool is very poor, and the filters are hard to get at times. the best place to get them is at Kmart or BigW (approx $10) as the pool shops are expensive (Clark rubber $16.95!).I have had considerable problems with water clarity, this is due to the filter.and i suggestinvesting in a larger pump/filter, an added expense however the time and money saved in the long run is well worth it!

Good
Having never looked after a pool before I had trouble keeping it clean the first season but then I spoke to my local pool shop. 2 cups of clorine every 2 days and clean the filter cartridge every weekas a ruff guide(only ever used the 1 cartridge and pump is fine for size of pool) . Scim the leave off the top regulaly. Make a whirlpool every now and then and when it settles all the bottom dirt clumps in the middle of the pool and use your garden hose as a vaccum to suck it out. My pool stayed crystal clear all season with the standard kit it ca...Read more
me with. 12'pool was endless fun for the kids for a few hundred dollars. Packs away in winter is a big plus. I had this one for 2 seasons and where the frames join they rub off the powder coating and start to rust. I binned my pool after 2 years because I don't think it would last another season but you can get new parts. You cant expect to much for $200 and am now going to get the deeper 15' one this year. Expecting the same issueSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I have a 16x48 circular intex pool but not sure how many litres of water in pool to balance chemicals?
1 answer
Hi, sorry I cannot remember and we no longer have the pool. There is a link which helps calculates how many gallons of water - you could then translate that to litres! [email protected]
How to get the last bracket on?
1 answer
Sorry Julie, it's been a few years since we assembled and I don't remember having a problem putting the pool together. Good luck, hope you manage to solve the problem and enjoy the pool.

What did you do for pool fencing and security gate with regards to this pool?
1 answer
Hi PomPM,Yep,You need an council approved fence. I happen to have a metal recycle yard at the end of street, who had 1200mm high fencing and posts. I welded up a gate and bought the proper pool gate hinges and magnet lock from Bunnings. Ring your council, they will be very helpful and friendly. (just don't let them come on your property.) Hope this helps.
