Good pool for the price

published

Pool went up pretty easy as we have had one before. This one is a 3.6m x .99m so it is bit deeper. We put down a foam mat base to protect it after reading about how many sprung leaks. These seem thicker than they were a few years ago too. This one took 10,000 litres exactly to fill up to 800mm deep. We also have a permanent fly over it and a cover. The filter is doing a good job but has to be cleaned every week. We use a hose propelled vacuum and a floating chlorine dispenser. Feels quite sturdy and is a great pool for two or three adults or a small family. Very happy.

Poor product

published

Last year I purchased a metal frame 12 Ft. pool from Intex. I had previously had the type that had the inflatable ring around the top which leaked air daily until I had to take it down. I thought this would be a better product due to cost, etc. Boy, was I wrong! After much effort to assemble and set "just right," the liner leaked immediately! It took 6 months to receive the replacement. Yesterday, I assembled the pool with the new liner; believing the other was just a fluke! Well...having paid (twice) to have water hauled in - a costly price - sure enough - it leaks! Really bummed as I live in the country and with little cash to spare, I am now out all that money and without a pool. Pure junk - poor product, poor customer service.

Review of intex 26' above ground pool

published

Be prepared to spend a whole lot of extra money on an Intex 26' round pool. The pump and filter supplied is not adequate for this pool. I ended up having to purchase a Hayward pump & sand filter and thru the wall skimmer and then hard plumbing it. Before buying an Intex people should shop around and you can usually find a pool with correct equipment and of better quality installed for what the Intex pool is going to end up costing you. Also don' call Intex for help, support, or warranty the are not helpful and their warrants are not what you expect (read the fine print). I am very unsatisfied with their products and will not make this mistake again.

This is a waste of money

published

Paid $400.00 for a pool to use as swim therapy for our nine year old son who has Cerebral Palsy. No problems setting it up yesterday. Got up this morning and the pool is leaking. We tried to patch it. Warranty is void because we set up the pool. Pool is a waste of money.

biggest turd I've ever seen

I bought their 18'x48" easy set. This is an absolute piece of crap. You name it, I've had a problem with it. You could flick a booger at this thing and put a hole in it. I cant express enough how horrible and cheaply made these really are. A complete waste of a $500 initial cost. Take it from me, you've been warned. Don't be a dummy and buy the their products. Never again!

Filter/pump died and Intex doesnt sell them in Australia

published

I just found out why the pool was so cheap. It must have been a case of bulk buying and now I come to find out that there is no Intex Australia so I cannot replace the defective pump. Oh BTW this is the fist summer I used the pool.

Extremely happy with out pool that we have recently purchased for our house. It was easy to order and delivery came within a few days. Easy with no hassles. Can't wait to set it up and let the grand kids play with it in summer, they will be extremely pleased. Keep it up!

Pool great fun and given hours of enjoyment

published

We purchased a 15' round Intex Pool which was easy to assemble; but getting a flat platform to erect pool on took at lot of time, effort and money as our garden slopes (which we hadn't taken into account before we purchased pool).
Pool is great for teenagers, deep enough and with room to have fun.
Pump leaks and is hard to seal after cleaning filter - don't know if we were just unlucky or if this is normal. Unfortunately couldn't find receipt to take it back.

Love it. Worth every cent I paid for it. Taught my son to swim in the pool, larger sizes are big enough for adults to have fun in. I bought the pool 3 years ago and reassemble every year. Easy for one person to assemble.
Everything. Keeps kids entertained for hours.
Can't think of any.

shop around for a good deal, try eBay for example. A great pool for the money, with hours of fun with the kids!!
I have a 15' pool. Easy to setup, great pool for kids and adults too!!.
Only paid around $350(was on sale at Kmart)but had to wait 4 weeks to get a reincheck.however its worth the money sa the kids have had hours of fun.
the pump supplied with the pool is very poor, and the filters are hard to get at times. the best place to get them is at Kmart or BigW (approx $10) as the pool shops are expensive (Clark rubber $16.95!).I have had considerable problems with water clarity, this is due to the filter.and i suggestinvesting in a larger pump/filter, an added expense however the time and money saved in the long run is well worth it!

Hi, sorry I cannot remember and we no longer have the pool. There is a link which helps calculates how many gallons of water - you could then translate that to litres! [email protected]

Sorry Julie, it's been a few years since we assembled and I don't remember having a problem putting the pool together. Good luck, hope you manage to solve the problem and enjoy the pool.

What did you do for pool fencing and security gate with regards to this pool?

Hi PomPM,Yep,You need an council approved fence. I happen to have a metal recycle yard at the end of street, who had 1200mm high fencing and posts. I welded up a gate and bought the proper pool gate hinges and magnet lock from Bunnings. Ring your council, they will be very helpful and friendly. (just don't let them come on your property.) Hope this helps.
