I purchased the i7+ for Christmas, I already have the Roomba 980, which I love, and because we have a two story house, we thought we would purchase one for upstairs ( because we have been over the moon with the 980), unfortunately they no longer make the 980, so we purchased the best one they had at the time which was the i7+, well it is great, the fact that it has the auto empty and the the mapping is also great, but that is where it stops for me, I am extremely disappointed in the performance, it doesn't have the suction, it seems to rely on ...Read more
just the brushes(so you might as well buy a broom) it is not a patch on the 980 and it seems to mark the tiled bathroom floors, because the material on the brushes seems to be longer so drags a bit on the tiles and leaves marks where it goes. I actually put a teaspoon of sand on the floor, it took 7 vacuums before I was happy with results, the 980 did 2 and I was a lot fussier and lot happier with the result. We have tiles and carpets through out . I don't understand when they make an excellent product like the 980, that they didn't put the best workings of that, in the one that is suppose to replace it in the market, you are paying more for the i7+ than the 980, but not receiving half the satisfaction :(Purchased in December 2021 at The Good Guys.

Robot broken after 3 days.
Robot stopped working after 3 days because brush cap was missing. I called warranty for 7 times. Email them for 10 times. Still had no response after a week. They always said send them an email with pics of robot but no reply at all. Every time I call they said that they will response on next day. They got my email now. But nothing turn up. Crap terrible to spent 1700 for this crap. And got worst warranty ever. I bought other brush on ebay and replace quicker than warranty from irobot.
Do not buy anything from them. They do not warranty at all.
Purchased in October 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $1,700.00.

We are very impressed with this product!
Never having owned or used a robot vacuum, I was extremely wary of buying one, especially one costing $1800 dollars but took the gamble and bought it.
I am happy to say that it has exceeded all my expectations.
It is easy to set up and uses intelligent mapping to map your home. The control app is easy to dowload and installed without issues for both Iphone and Android.

Love my i7+ Roomba!
I bought it to mainly clean my timber floor and I found it is perfect for them!
It does my Persian rugs with ease and doesn’t get caught on the fringes. It did struggled on our new pure wool carpet though due to excess fluff. This clogged the dirt container and it wouldn’t automatically empty but it is easy to get your fingers in to clean it out. I expect it would work better on older carpet that is past ‘shedding’.
The low profile means it under low furniture with ease.
I have the app on my phone but to be honest I haven’t used it.
Purchased in July 2021 at Harvey Norman for $2,090.00.

Hi Neil39, ours works fine on our carpets, the only thing that I notice is a little more noise from the motor as it powers across it.

The i Series Roomba is fantastic on carpet. I have high pile at home, the only thing I would mention is you will see track marks of where the Roomba has been.
