Communication
I was happy with the product I bought but felt let down when I realised I had been overcharged. I've been shopping there since they first opened and this is the first time this has happened but also the first time that staff were unaware of the deals jbhifi had for the item purchased. I made the staff aware of those deals when I saw I was overcharged. I would also like to add that it's not how it used to be either from products to staff knowledge of items been sold. Bring back the original jb with the excellent long lasting products.

A recent experience. Could you please forward this to the JB hi-fi chief [name removed].
I purchased a tv from JB hi-fi because they say return to store policy if anything goes wrong...
Well 8 months later it stopped working, so I phoned spoke to [name removed] who confirmed, yes it within the 12 months, we will test it to confirm not working and we will replace it or provide a store credit. I said great as will live 100kms away. So off we went, they agreed to the refund, but refused to hand it over, said 4 to 6 weeks. At which I had a medical episode. You lying fools and how stupid we we're going to upgrade, we still will at Harvey Norman.

Seagate ultra thin back up is Rubbish- why sell it?
Bought this loaded my data and drive immediately failed on first day. Cost me money to send it back to seagate for a replacement and I am still waiting. This product is rubbish....paying over 100 dollars and not even last a day

Product failure return
Arlo Pro 2, second camera failed to sync. Was going to initially do an exchange. At no time was there an apology. So went through the lengthy refund process. Tedious.

We need a new electronic store to put this incompetent mammoth out of business.
Typical example of Australian “who cares?” incompetence. They resell products that have been returned because they’re faulty. They resell unsealed products. They offer a refund but it takes bloody ages.

Poor service
Central JB Hi-FI The worst store I have ever experienced, absolutely no customer service skills, would not recommend this store. Placed a complaint with Head office a week ago and still no response for them either. Obviously customer service doesn't mean a lot for this company, starts from the top and filters down but the only thing filtering down is incompetence and arrogance.

Incompetent and a lack of communication period
As of writing this review, I am often left wondering on philosophical viewpoint(s) in lieu of customer satisfaction? And one of those viewpoint(s) is paramount to any single person who walks into a bricks ‘n mortar store (physical) about to make a purchase or does it on Internet (virtual).
And this is “Customer Service”.

December 2022, Box Day, while visiting Melbourne, I walked into a Nunawading store and purchased 1x 85” Sony X8500G TV as well as 1x Sony HT-Z9RF Soundbar. I asked a simple question whether all JB HI-FI stores were connected and followed by another question that I resided in the A.C.T. Rest assured, I was given some confidence and indicated that the answer was “yes”. Followed by an indicator that there was no stock in the A.C.T. and that the delivery of my purchase would need to be delivered from Sydney (NSW). I then responded by giving my calendar dates of availability.3 comments
UPDATE (01/02/20): A very large truck pulls up near my residence and two individuals placed my TV onto a dolly. It’s finally arrived.

My go to
Every time I shop at JB the customer service is helpful and knowledgeable about their products. If the don't have what I'm after they are always able to direct me where I can get it. Never had any issues with anything I've bought from there.

Their service is great. When I found a huge sale online from an untrustworthy brand, JB price matched it with no questions asked.
They always have good prices and their service is great. I buy all my technology appliances from JB Hi Fi.

Customer service and knowledge about phones is below average.
I bought an Oppo a9 2020 from JB HiFi in Cairns and was told specifically that it was capable of connecting with USBC micro to HDMI. Which is why I bought it. The salesperson obviously knows nothing about the software in the oppo a9 model I bought, but stated "yes" to get a quick sale done. Tried going back in to address the issue, was met with resistance by two staff members on the mobile section that day. One was chubby about 50yrs old coloured hair and shaved sides. nothing was wrong with the phone and I should look up how to adjust settings to work my USBC HDMI which I also bought that day and is on my receipt. They could not tell me how it works nor did they seem in the slightest interested in helping me. Both of them did not have any customers at the time and were free to help me. Also my headphones when plugged into the 2020 a9 oppo were faulty. It would turn down the volume as soon as I plugged in the headphones. Headphones were fine on my older model oppo and the computer I use. I was told to buy new headphones which I did and now in total the phone and HDMI micro USB c and new headphones have cost me in excess of $550. I'm really annoyed that I was met with such poor customer service and no willingness to help me with a new phone that was compatible to HDMI and micro USB c. You really need to look at how your staff treat customer's, I'm a dentist by trade and I know what it means to be polite to people. Great service
Just feel I need to write something. Ive found JBHIFI Brisbane cbd excellent with returns for faulty items. Twice this happened on the same day & not a question asked ..refunded. Third time lucky & it was a manufacturers error. This is why I continue to shop there first - well done

Some customer service!
I attempted to buy a Phillips portable cd player from Cairns Central store on Friday 13.12. I was served by 3 people who informed me that they didn't have it in store, even though it was showing online. Two tried to process the order and payment via Stockland store. When they weren't able to by closing time, they advised they'll get back to me on Monday.

y could find any trace of my order. I travelled extra kilometers to Stockland on Thursday 19.12. to pick up the cd player and received it with a smile and $10 discount for the inconvenience. Went back to Cairns Central store where the person promising to get back to me on Monday didn't recalled doing so. The millenial manager didn't grasp my complaint about the kind of 'service' this store provided me with. The staff there quite obviously wasn't interested in helping me make the purchase. So thanks for nothing, you've just lost a customer. Locely lady on the phone.
I was on the phone to a lady at JB HI FI Port Macquarie.

Good service
I often rely on JB Hifi to get my earphones (my puppy loves the ear buds). I've always found it easy to navigate around the store, if I can't find what I'm looking for the staff is very helpful.
I've ordered online and picked up in store, much easier than walking around looking for items, because the store here is a bit small and packed.

Good service
Have bought a variety of things at JB stores over the years, especially the Canberra ones and never had an issue. Most recent was a portable hard drive at the Woden store on the weekend. Staff are always friendly and helpful. No hard selling. They have a good product range. Highly recommended.

Unorganised promo
Employees does not have a clue about the promo how to deliver!!!! Bought a laptop and office 365 and they have a promo that when I buy this two I will get an extra 3 months subscription of Microsoft office. While at the store they don't know how to give me the 3 months subscription and attendant just assume that he said if you load your new office 365 and 3 months extra is not there let us know. Do not want to refund !!
I bought some wireless earphone last week in the Queens street mall JB Hifi.
Wanted to return them today to JB Hifi in north lakes and buy others as they were not suitable for running.
I have been told that the policy of the company were not to exchange earphone and I should have been given a "purple" slip. I was trying to explain that I never heard, never been given any slip in the Quenn street mall store, the guy did not show any interest at all .
Very appalling customer experience . Basically not his store not his problem....
It is Xmas period, loosing one customer won't make any difference to you guys, but the arrogance and the lack of care is very disappointing.

ause the TV of similar sizes especially the LG UM7400 86", the central base was too weak. If you touched it on either end of the screen with a finger; the TV itself moves. So hence no. I was also offered a TCL and Hisense variation... umm... Sorry but the Sony I bought sounds much better than a cheap and nasty variation? A refund was offered; but I declined. After this face to face interaction, I spoke to the Belconnen store a few days later, only to be given more bad news. I decided to contact the original place of purchase at Nunawading in Melbourne.
