great car with loads of features
Love this car - my only issue is the lack of control and ability to preset the climate control. It is over enthusiatic and attempts to fry me with hot air for no good reason. Nearly crashed the thing trying to adjust it. Most times would just like to have outside air on my face but it resets to sending air to the windscreen

Packs a punch
I do 650k a week commuting to work Monday to Friday
Comfortable drive with great features, only issue I've had is slight build up if Brake dust on the callipers.
3 Years complimentary servicing which was hand due to the amount of kilometres I do.
Certainly got me hooked on JEEP
Purchased in January 2021 at Jeep Dealers for $38,000.00.

Long list of expensive issues never again
Bought the car new(2015 kl) and nothing but issues from the start, replaced everything underneath. Including rear diff, ptu, tailshaft twice, rear axle seals a couple of times. Well over $30000 in repairs, sold the vehicle at a massive loss to get it out of my life. Would never ever get a jeep again
Purchased in January 2021 for $52,000.00.

Jeep Customer Service
I've posted on this Cherokee Site twice before. I have previously owned a 2014 and 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk. I now own a second 2022 Trailhawk. Long story short my first 2022 Trailhawk whilst almost faultless was a hybrid. It left the manufacturing plant in the US with the wrong U-Connect info unit (minus GPS and some other bits). After 3 months FCA admitted they couldn't fix the car to spec, there was also a wiring issue associated with the missing GPS. So after 3 months and 6,800km of ownership of my 2022 Cherokee Jeep replaced my car for nil ...Read more
outlay on my part, took my car back and gave me a further 12 months rego as at 24/06/2019 on a brand new 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk. Yep pretty happy with the outcome! For all you doubters Jeep has great product and it would seem they now back their product with great after sales service. If you go off road the 2022 Cherokee has no peer in it's classPurchased in June 2021 for $50,000.00.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hemi 6.4 Motor
For the past 20 years our family has had the pleasure of owning many Jeeps and Chrysler’s from Cherokee, Grand Cherokee Overland, Wrangler unlimited, 3 x Grand Voyagers and in 2014 the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT which all have been a pleasure to drive and own for our family.
The last few months however have caused me so many issues mentally dealing with the fact that after just 150,000klm and all services being completed at either Jeep Brisbane, Jeep Gold Coast and Canungra Auto Clinic that I am now with a Jeep sitting in my yard with the motor ...Read more
removed and it sitting in the back of the car in pieces. It started with a regular service when a warning code light came on which was a Misfire in a cylinder. This then manifested to a complete new engine being required and quoted at $21,000 from Jeep Gold Coast. Jeep Gold Coast had to pull the motor apart costing me $1500 just to tell me it’s no good and make me have it towed back home. After some online research it appears this is a common problem with the Hemi 6.4ltr V8 motor in the US so much that they no longer produce them in the latest Jeeps. Jeep won’t take any responsibility at all and I don’t have the money to put a new engine in so I’m stuck owing money on a car that has no motor. What do I do ? Jeep have washed there hands from it all, nobody wants to talk to me from Jeep.Purchased in January 2021 for $90,000.00.

I Try to be supportive of Jeep But their Customer service is ridiculous
Had a 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk that was the best and most reliable car I ever had until it suffered a PCU failure in the 4WD differential assembly at 85,000km and 4 years (out of warranty)! Worked out a deal with Jeep and the dealer to buy a 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk (Five year warranty) with appropriate discounts and trade in allowances. It was a good deal and my Firecracker Red Trailhawk was delivered in Early April 2022. Absolutely great car and the paintwork and fit and finish is definitely superior to the 2014 model. Only issue was that the u...Read more
-connect system was missing the sat-nav. Whatever the fix is and you would think it's a simple fix, Jeep Australia seem unable to communicate with myself or the dealer on what the fix is. Like, it's unbelievable, Jeep has such a great product a great dealer network (excellent) but the Staff at Jeep Australia seem to be unable to communicate with their valued customers on solution based outcomes. It's unbelievable. I have been waiting over 3 weeks now for an outcome, with no communication. It's a minor issue but jeeze I paid for Sat-Nav. I don't have it. Jeep Australia you ruin the whole Customer Experience. with abysmal communication. Further to the above, Jeep Aust, after 4 weeks agreed that the u-connect system needs to be replaced. A new U-Connect system has been ordered from the US, but as at today, closing in on 3 Months of ownership I still don't have a U-Connect System with Sat Nav. I will say for anyone with a 2014 - 18 Cherokee Trailhawk, upgrade to the 2022 model, it's much improved and fantastic off road.Purchased in April 2021 for $50,000.00.

Software Updates
We recently had two recalls completed, both were software related, within 24hrs we had a completely drained battery. RACV came out, load tested the battery - advised it was ok and something was running in the background which caused the fault. They did a temp reset to enable us to take the car back to the dealer where we were advised a new battery was required @ $700.00. Has anyone else experienced this after a software update - seems very coincidental to me especially when we have not had one issue with this car.

Buyer beware
Purchased my KL last year interstate was told it had a 5 year warranty with 12 month fixed priced services by the dealership. Recently tried to book a service locally and was told it was out of warranty because FCA had the Cherokee in there system as having a 3 year warranty with 6 month services even though the vehicle had been complianced in May 2017 three months after Jeep Australia had introduced the new 5 year plan. After making a complaint to FCA they refused to reconise the 5 year warranty leaving me up the creek without a paddle basically. Great customer service for some who has purchased 4 Jeeps in 15 years.

Excellent
My Trailhawk has now done 85,000 km and have owned since new, purchased May 2015. Other than a blown Headlight and a faulty sensor that caused the engine warning light to come on (both fixed for free under warranty), my jeep has been absolutely trouble free (Battery replaced at around 60,000km) The off road ability is amazing. I recently went off road on a very steep rocky mountain trail with a Land cruiser and D Max. The other 2 vehicles thought I was crazy. Trailhawk kept up no problem. Rear diff lock on and in Rock mode. No other medium SUV ...Read more
in Australia is as good in off road abilities On road it's as comfortable as any mainstream SUV. Love my Jeep and will probably upgrade to another Trailhawk. Can I also add that in my experience the 9 speed auto is just quirky but not bad, it's just a bit different and you adapt your driving style accordingly, I've had no problem with mine. The power of the 3.2 V6 is good, fuel economy average and on road handling is very good considering the off road abilities. I've just had the car serviced at Southport Jeep and the advice from their Service Team on pickup was, whatever you are doing keep doing it as the car is faultless. An update, In Mid Feb the 4WD warning light came on (yellow) and advised I had a problem with the 4WD system. After this light went out but I found that I couldn't put car in 4WD Low. Long story short, the dealer advised the PTU Assembly has suffered an internal failure. Cost to replace $3,995.00. Vehicle has done 85,500km and is 3 years 9 months since first regn. Lets see what Jeep do on this?Purchased in May 2021.

Had a Jeep and had numerous problems, in the workshop continually and the dealer couldn't even get it started and had the gall to say there was nothing wrong with it!!!! we traded it in at a loss of $18,000 and they would not accept that there was a darn thing wrong with the car....It would not even start in their workshop!
Car was fine until they did an upgrade on the parking computer problem, then downhill from there,

Too many issues!
My vechicle is only 4 years old and has now been under repair for 1/3 of the year and counting. During this time, Jeeps communication has been appalling and I still do not have an answer to why my car is not fixed. I have made a complaint to Jeeps head officer with still no answers. This issue may not be the same for everyone but from what I have experienced I would never has purchased a Jeep if I had known the inconvenience this would of caused me and the lack of customer service I have been receiving from my issue.

I still havent found anything good enough to replace it!
I bought this car over 6 years ago with 112k on it. It is a great tow vehicle (2.8 ton), great on fuel (2.8 Diesel), small enough to get around everywhere, tight turning circle, and plenty of power I did thing about trading it at the beginning of the year but I couldnt find anything that was suitable and could do the same things as this puppy! To date the only problem is it will jump out of first gear if you dont know what you are doing, (it seems to have a fake first gear) the driving position is not ideal and to reach the pedals the steering...Read more
wheel needs to be a bit closer than I would regularly have. Spare parts from Jeep Australia dealers are ridiculously priced, but I always buy them genuine from Jeep dealers in the US (1/4 of the price) Get it serviced by a local mechanic rather than a dealer and you cant go wrong!Similar opinion? Jeep KJ Renegade CRD 2005 - Brilliant
It has never missed a beat. As long as you don’t neglect you vehicle you shouldn’t have any issues.
The Turbo Diesel engine seems great, no complaints.
The only issues would be my roof lining kinda sagging down and the rear window shocks not holding the window open.
Great all round 4wd that seems robust.

Jeep Cherokee CRD Renegade - Brilliant.
I have had the Jeep Cherokee CRD Renegade for a long while now. Other than the usual log book servicing I can fault it.
Whilst I only do lite FWD on the sand & snow a few times it goes great. It has that good old fashioned turbo diesel feel & has never let me down.

Comfortable Drive but a Few Niggles
Our Jeep Cherokee Limited KL with the sunroof is nicely appointed and is a very comfortable drive with great leather seats. The V6 engine is powerful enough and I love the hill assist.....no roll back on steep inclines. The stop-start function can be bothersome in school traffic and I really doubt there is a fuel saving benefit associated with it. You really have to think about the wear and tear on the engine etc when it’s constantly stopping and starting; hence I usually turn it off when driving. It would be better if the stop-start functi...Read more
on was off when the car is started and leave it up to the driver to actually turn the stop-start function on if they wanted it on. The heated seats in winter are very welcomed as are the air conditioned seats in summer. The boot space is a good size and I appreciate the full size spare tire in there......I can’t stand space saving tires.....they are not very reassuring if you want to take the car off road or in the countryside where tire dealers are limited. The only bummer with our Jeep is that there have been a few issues with squeaks, rattles and other noises coming from the rear seats and roof, which is quite annoying and is even more frustrating when the service department can’t isolate or fix the issues. And lastly, I still can’t work out what the flappy thing with toggles is that’s hanging off the rear seats in the boot??? It seems pretty useless and gets in the way when I want to load my shopping or the kids’ school bags.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Car and Keeps going if you look after it
Owned our KJ since 160000Kms used. 2.8 litre CRD She's been a solid workhorse, although plays up with the wife from time to time lol. We are at 250000kms and have done usual wear and tear repairs such as the timing belt, water pump Ball joints etc... Tows beautifully and we love it's aesthetics. We have a young one now and are looking at doing some camping trips in the near future and believe she'll old up for another 250000 if cared for. Would recommend if budget is of concern and you need a true 4WD that will go anywhere without breaking the ...Read more
bank. If you have a local mechanic who isn't afraid of troubleshooting unfamiliar turf you're home and hosed. If you only have fitters (Mechanics who guess the issue and replace unnecessary parts) in your town and no real mechanics don't buy a Jeep or European cars it will cost u a fortune. Stay Clear from a Jeep Dealership for repairs they have no idea. Ironic considering they sell the products. You'll love it we sure do :)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
