2019 Grand Cherokee blown engine
Our 2022 limited blew its engine at 14k kms. It did not even have its first service. With no spares in Australia and no ETA on the replacement I requested a replacement vehicle. FCA refused as they deem the vehicle repairable. This was our 3rd Jeep and this will be the last.

FCA Customer Support Pathetic
Purchase Dec 2017. From the first week had electronic's problems. Dealer would nor believe my complaint even though it was evident in their workshop. Took 6 weeks to get a new uConnect, after 4 visits to the workshop, 6 months in total. Still have not fixed rain sensor for wipers. have only had manual control for 2 years. FCA advised the dealer in Sept 2022 cannot replace the rain sensor, as it is part of $3000 windscreen, and will not respond to the dealer on a replacement. Very poor customer service, FCA not interested. Great car in many respects, but zero support. After owning 2 my next will not be an FCA brand.

Blown engine
Bought my GC limited Diesel from Irelands in Cairns in Jan.16 All went downhill very quickly with sump oil leaks followed by a timing cover oil leak that had to be returned 3 times to rectify.1 month from the warranty expiring the brake booster pump failed.New unit fitted only to have a failure within a fortnight, was filled with silicone.
At 56000 km and 2 months out of warranty the engine seized solid. Big hearted Jeep did replace the engine as a GOODWILL gesture, took 7 weeks and no loan vehicle.I asked what warranty I get with the new engine and was to NIL and if it goes bang again it will be at my expense.New engine costs approx. $25000.00.
The engines are failing world wide, be careful and consider your options.

An almost great car let down by the trimmings and Jeep After Care
Purchased new in October 2018 to be me last and greatest vehicle purchase which turned sour after my first big road trip when I discovered the sensors were not functioning as intended which lead to weekly visits to Ireland's, the local Jeep dealer. Eventually after almost five months of analysis and limited assistance from Jeep Australia, it was diagnosed that my Jeep had been fitted with a 2014 Bull Bar as stamped in it by the bull bar manufacturer. Ireland's rectified the problem by modifying the bull bar to suit the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee ...Read more
with assistance from ARB. I then needed a new computer monitor as I had also several ongoing problems with the computer and camera shutting down without warning. The next serious issue was when I discovered that the seat leather was breaking down prematurely which was even more exacerbated by the fact that Jeep service personnel spent more time in my vehicle than I did. Yet, Jeep Customer Care has ruled that they will not honour the warranty as they believe it is the way in which the vehicle is entered and exited. I have looked at other ways to enter and exit the vehicle and found that the Trail Hawk is the only Grand Cherokee model that side steps cannot be fitted too. I was also sent to a motor trimmer by Ireland's for independent assessment which also detailed that the leather and design was unfit for purpose. Jeep Customer Care is still holding firm on their decision so I now have a very off road capable Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk with superior running gear and performance which is marred by seats unfit for purpose with premature wear making it highly likely that the vehicle will make it to through it first 12 months before I have to replace my seat at my expense or live with the inferior ugliness of poor product and workmanship. A problem that Jeep Customer Care refuses to discuss further with me. Thankfully, Ireland's Jeep is still providing some assistance. An almost great vehicle which is severely let down by Jeep Customer Care.Purchased in October 2021 at Ireland's for $75,000.00.

It's worked for me (but comes with a built in "gotcha") ...
Disclaimer: I bought the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk despite its abysmal record of faults/recalls.
The bottom line for me was money. I was going to remote Australia towing a heavy (2.8 tonnes) caravan and every other vehicle with similar abilities/specs was at least $30,000 more expensive (and a number of them had similar poor records for quality control). It had been 16 years since I bought my previous vehicle so I bought the Jeep 6 months before I was aiming to leave so as to get the bugs out (normal practice 16 years earlier).

a couple of problems, each sorted out by the dealer. As I expect any new car to have those sorts of problems, they aren’t counted against it. (Apart from these) the car has been very reliable and an excellent tow vehicle. Considering the car plus caravan totals around 5 tonnes, it has been getting excellent mileage of around 15 litres per 100 km while towing at between 80 kph and 90 kph on major highways. With the 75 litre fitted long range tank, this gives me nearly 1,000km range with caravan. It’s easy to drive and certainly a major step above my previous (16 yo) vehicle.Purchased in June 2021.

Great for three years then a disaster.
Done 88,000kms in less than 5 years. Family car used only on sealed roads, highway and town. Car serviced by dealer all services attended. Consumer identified problems have been: Moonroof seal noise(told can’t fix must replace at $3400). Cup holder metal lifted scratches hand($1000 fix). Turbo blown cost to replace is $17500 plus labour.

Best value for money you can buy today
The features and comfort of this car are amazing. Heated steering wheel and heated /cooling seats.
I use it daily, towing a trailer. The rear view camera and air suspension, means I can connect the trailer from inside the car!
Lots of room, heaps of power and a real head turner on the road.
Go for it!!

Jeep Roadside Assistance - Fee scammers
My experience with Jeep overall has been horrific. Our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland has had several electrical problems since purchase. Every time I've had Jeep Roadside assistance come to tow it. This last time, their tow truck never arrived but i was charged a nice hefty fee of $254 ($100 call out fee + $154 renewal membership fee). I waited for their tow truck from 11am - 5:30pm without any help from Jeep. Just text after text after text. Finally, i had to get another company to tow my car. They showed up slightly before 6pm. Jeep, a co...Read more
mpletly no show. Absolutely incredible. Their explanation, on our side we see our truck arriving at 1:30pm. I was at home waiting for these guys from 11am - 5:30pm. Never showed up. I asked to show me proof that someone was here; tech name, # or photo that he was here, gps coordinates, something..? But no, as long as on their side the driver said he showed up, then he must of shown up. The fact that my Jeep was still sitting there 4 hours after he supposedly picked it up is a huge mystery to them. JEEP ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, stay away. Complete rip-opff. They are happy to charge the fee but unable to deliver any service. Stay away from these guys.Purchased in June 2021.

Extremely good value for money.
I have now had 4 jeeps (3 toyotas etc) and cannot fault this car. I have a 2017 Laredo optioned with factory Leather, Sunroof and off road Adventure 2 package. The car has never missed a beat (35,000ks) and even if it does it has 5 years warranty. It tows my 2.5t Van like its not there, super comfortable, and fuel economy is very very good.. When I looked around NOTHING came close for 60k. The only complaints I read are either older models or poor service from Jeep and FCA which is a shame because it lets down such a good car. The only reason I...Read more
have had 4 of them is everytime I look around I just cant tick as many boxes as the Jeep does and for the price its hard to go past... Then when you factor in that 4 ive owned have never had one single warranty claim!! whay wouldnt you. Best thing you can do is NOT listen to the so called experts who have never actually owned one and go drive one, or ask and actual owner when you spot one. You will love it.Purchased in November 2021 for $60,000.00.

Very happy with our Jeep
We purchased our new Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD Limited in Jul 2013.
Extremely happy with our purchase, it tows our 21’ Van with ease, and give good fuel economy ( 12.5 L per 100 towing and 6.9 L average).
After 5 yrs of continuous use, we have had no major problems, ( some minor warranty ones) The Diesel engine and transmission are well matched, interior layout is good and functional.
Would we buy another... a definite Yes...

Bang for the buck! Cannot bog it down off road. Comfortable, handles well on road with more than adequate performance.
Have owned two(2) Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 Laredo(4 x 4 Diesel), one purchased in Feb 2014 and a insurance replacement one in Feb 2016(which I am driving at present). Use and used both for general commuting and a bit of off-roading on dirt roads in national parks or forest reserves.
Am writing this review as I have read a not very complimentary review in XXXXX which says that this car is not so good off-road and does NOT state that the car is comfortable and handles well at highway speeds with more than adequate performance to tackle hills (do...Read more

4th Jeep and still extremely happy
I know a lot of people knock the Jeep Range but I upgraded to a 2018 Grand Cherokee Limited in September 2018 and still could not be happier. No issues, fuel is efficient and very comfortable. Think the main thing is, if you like the "Jeep" way, you are set. The only thing a bit disappointing is not contact or gift from FCA Australia but still happt.
