The Jeep is a brand! If you are looking for refinement buy a Japanese car or Europeon car. If you want a fun car, this is the one. You can take off the roof and go Topless. You can have the hard top on. You can remove the bits over your head. It is American so if you like options this is the one for you. The car is a bit industrial. It is not the most comfortable car I have driven. It does great in urban areas. The Stereo is great. THe GPS is faulty. Siri over rides Jeepey GPS. The highway ride is pretty good for a 4wd. The ride ...Read more
on the beach is great. We go up to DOuble Island Point and we have never had to let the tyres down. No front hubs so just pull the 4wd lever back and it is on and off you go. You need to apply the 4wd but once you are shown it is easy. No soft button like those other auto everything cars. The tow capacity is real low on this short wheel base. The servicing cost sting if you use Jeep. My warranty was only 3 years so then went to Ultratune. We are not high kilometer drivers. It is about 12,000 km a year. We are upto 50,000 k at the end of 4 years. We just replace the first set of tyres at 45,000. No other issues at all. Never let us down. Replaced battery at 3 years and 3 months. I did rustproof it and think this has saved me some pain. Good clean after the beach. put rubber matts over the carpet when we go up the beach. It is competent as a 4WD but I am not keen to get it real dirty. I like the car and the thought of getting it all muddy hurts me. and scratching it Noooooo!. Jeep continues to put the front and back bumpers made from some plastic stuff that fades in the sun. You need to keep polishing them to bring them back to new look. Don't like how the bonnet has no lock on it so if you are paranoid buy the accessory to lock it. THe back ride for passengers is not roomy. Most people that ride with us are just Jeep fanatics so it is no problem. THe AC holds the temp in Qld humidity. Keeping it in the shade is a better choice to keep it fresh. Don't forget that you need to store the hard top if you remove it. Don't forget you need to sotre the Jeep alternate back canopy somewhere in your house. As my wife says to me honey if you want men to look at you go and buy a Landcruiser!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love it so much, I want to buy another
I bought the short wheel base Wrangler Overland as a second vehicle. I fell in love with the driving experience so much that my Mercedes has been sitting in the garage for months on the battery charger.....The ride takes a little to get used to after driving a sedan, but the high position is very comfortable.....My 85 year old mother loves riding in it and has no problem climbing in.....The interior and options in the Overland makes it worth the extra money. Leather seats, SatNav, DVD, Reversing camera....Reliability is great, I have not had an...Read more
y issues with the Jeep mechanically. Fuel consumption is a little higher than I though, but it's a tough and heavy body, yet the 3.6L pulls her along fine....Removing the hart top is quick and easy, and the drive with the open top is fun....I love it and would not hesitate to buy another.Purchased in November 2021 at Private.

JK Unlimited Overland - great package
I bought my JK new at the start of 2014. Like 99% of new cars these days it is reliable and has done all that I've asked of it from day one.
What I like:
Powerful but fuel efficient 3.6l petrol. I bought a diablo tuning package for it (plug and play) and it has transformed both the power/torque and fuel consumption. The five speed auto is very well matched; my pet peeve with autos in other vehicles is the hesitation you get with some when you want to speed up quickly, not so with the (Mercedes-benz sourced) unit. It seems to anticipate wha...Read more

got me hooked
I got the first of the JK model built Oct 2012 as a MY13 model, an Overland 2-door with luxury touches and ample smooth petrol power. Never a problem, just start-n-go-n-go. It was used as an offroader, not a city commuter. More capable than most rigs right out of the showroom, in fact it stayed that way and kept up with some heavily modified others on the track. If you are looking for a city daily driver, this is no soft-road SUV, off the bitumen is where it shines. A bit of a meccano style of adding accessories bothered me a bit at first, but ...Read more
then made so much sense to screw something here and there without the sense of defacing, and sooo many sources for add-ons it became addictive. I sold it at 30 months and 30,000 km because I thought that part of my life was over, but now I’m thinking another is inevitable (maybe a 4-door, though the “shortie” had a use in tight places and inclines). The SatNav was excellent onroad and off with a breadcrumb tracking, and the Uconnect better than our newer well-known brand sedansSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wine has been accidentally spilt in the back of our brand new Jeep Wrangler JK Overland. It has run into the weather proof speaker and surrounding carpet, which we have been able to clean. However, 2 days later there is a strong rancid smell and we can't figure out where or how to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

Wine has been accidentally spilt in the back of our brand new Jeep Wrangler Overland MY18. It has run into the weather proof speaker, which we have been able to clean out, and have pulled out the carpet, hosed it down and left it to dry in the sun before replacing it. However, there is still a very strong rancid smell and we can't figure out where and how to get rid of it. Any suggestions please?
