Needed to contact customer service as I wanted to purchase a pair of shoes online. The staff members couldn’t be more helpful, they went above and beyond. Extremely happy with the service.

Sale is so worth it!
I recently bought 2 pairs of podiatrist recommended shoes. Wasted my money as it caused me pain. So, I hopped onto Jo Mercer online. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. The sale meant that I bought 2 pairs of shoes for the price of one.
The are so comfy for someone who works on her feet for the day. Thank you for saving my feet!

a former favourite, quality has gone downhill
Used to love Jo Mercer but have found my most recent purchases to be uncomfortable and poorly constructed. Furthermore their customer service, online, is dreadful! Not helpful or understanding at all.

Great quality shoes, complicated refund/exchange policy that isn't great for consumers
I have a few pairs of Jo Mercer shoes and they are good quality & I like their style range. They don't however offer refunds on sale items and they have quite a complex refund policy when it comes to their special sales. Be very careful to check their returns/exchanges policy before you buy!

I absolutely love these shoes - they're the only brand I buy now. They're high-quality, super stylish (I always get compliments on my shoes from them), and all of their styles (heels, boots, sandals, high wedges) are very comfortable after 2-3 wears as the soft leather gets worn in.
I had an issue where a strap on a pair of wedge sandals snapped after only 8-10 wears. I contacted their customer support team via email - they responded within 24-hours and shipped me a replacement pair without any issue or nonsense. Such a level of customer service is so hard to find these days! The situation has made me even more loyal to the brand.

Horrible quality of shoes and customer service
Incredibly dissatisfied with the product. I purchased my first pair of heels, Phoenix High Heel Sandals Bone Leather, in December last year for an engagement. Having only worn the heels for 3-4 hours, my feet were burning, blistered and the next morning I had scabs all around my ankles which took 1 month to heel. The quickest delivery out there!
This is my second review of Jo Mercer. I have worked in car sales for 18months now and would have gone through a pair of shoes each 4-5 months (constantly walking around car yards wears office type shoes out quickly) but I can’t fault the quality of these shoes! Plus the shipping is always amazingly fast!! I live in rural Victoria, purchased 2 x pairs of shoes on Thursday night & they had arrived on Monday morning!! Great store, fantastic shoes & the speediest delivery! Keep up the awesome work (:

Beautiful shoes, poor quality and customer support
I usually should elsewhere but I’ve decided to get a pair of shoes from Jo Mercer. They looked beautiful and felt comfortable but literally weeks later the leather started to deteriorate and peel in layers like it was pressed instead of being one whole piece. It never happened to my shoes before and I wasn’t expecting the quality to be so poor for the pair that retailed over $150.

Horrible shoes!
Nice styles but quality is so horrible. Not only gave me blisters, it literally rubbed the skin off back of my feet even just 10 mins walking. So disappointing and waste of money.

Worst customer service
Walked in to your QVB store today the store manager was on the phone outside the store for 20 minutes no staff on selling floor a team member came out from the back no eye contact no acknowledgement did not even ask if we needed help left the selling floor and went to the back room my sister and myself just walked out

Fantastic service
Shopped at Harbourtown Outlet Adelaide. Shop assistant Frinee was pleasant, friendly and extremely helpful . Love my new shoes, will definitely return and hope to be served by Frinee again. Thankyou !

Incorrect advertising
Saw a display in the store - sale $99.95. Asked shop assistant if all on the signed table were were 99.95. I was told yes. Found a pair I liked and tried them on- assured again they were 99.95. Advised to have a look around because a second pair was 50% off. After trying on a number of shoes couldnt find anything I liked so decided just to take the boots. Go to pay and get told no actually they are 149.95- no offer to reduce them to the advertised price! I walked out not happy -such a waste of time.

Always the best
Im surprised at all the bad reviews here. Most of my shoes are from Jo Mercer and have lasted me for years! The quality is great and had no issues returning even sale items.
Love the Doncaster store especially. Always great service.
The boots I own are going strong after 3 yrs of constant wear.

Lovely service lovely shoes!
Went into the highpoint store on Sunday the 16th of June, one staff member was looking after two customers at once and managed to help me in between! Had some great informative help from Josephine and after having her reassure me on company policy I was sold on a lovely pair of heels! Thank you, will definitely be returning next time

Disappointed - shoes were deemed faulty by a Jo Mercer assessor and Jo Mercer refused to replace
I purchased faulty shoes - leather peeled off after 2 months wear!! Jo Mercer will not replace them!!
I purchased 2 pairs of leather boots. One pair was perfect (tan leather) and still is, but the the other pair (black leather) has the leather peeling in several spots. I took the shoes to Jo Mercer who got them assessed and they were deemed faulty (words were this "should not have happened with normal wear and tear"), but I was asked to find my receipt before they would replace them (not a normal request by a retailer for a faulty product). left the store and searched for the receipt at home but could not find my receipt unfortunately. I then made 2 attempts to go back to a Jo Mercer store to inform them that I could not find a receipt (the first time the Manger did not come back to the store from her lunch break on time and I had to leave, despite waiting for her return for over an hour) and with the second attempt the store said they would need to speak to the Manger (who was not in at the time). I left my shoes with them so they could see the faulty product. The Manger called back to say that they would not replace them. I explained that this was not good enough and she said she would speak to her Manager and get back to me. I never heard back. I made 3 follow-up calls to the store who said the Manger would call me. She never called and it has been 3 weeks. My faulty shoes arrived back in the post yesterday from Jo Mercer without a note or anything. I am so disappointed in this retailer. They were happy to say the shoes were faulty, but not replace them!! I still can't quite believe they won't replace their faulty shoes. Omgsh SO beautiful ! ! !
I was looking for a simple heel, low height and leather. I wanted a stiletto heel not block. The only ones I found online that were simple, not super high yet low key and classy were high end brand over $900! (Jimmy choo). I even considered saving for those as options were no good anywhere! I actually just re-ordered a second pair the exact same! Because one day when I wear these out I will be on the hunt again! I couldn't believe they were $59.95 down from $179.95 !!!! I sent an email through to customer service a while back but i never got a response or even an acknowledgement. I followed up with a post on the Jo Mercer Facebook page but there has been no response either.
Here's said email, copied and pasted for your convenience:
I recently became aware that some small leather goods sold globally eg. Handbags, footwear etc. could have been made from dog leather.
Every year, the global leather industry slaughters more than a billion animals. Most of the leather in the Industry comes from India, China, and other countries that either have no animal welfare laws or have laws that go largely or completely unenforced. In China, the world's largest leather exporter, an estimated 2 million cats and dogs are killed there annually for their skins.
How do you condone this industry? Can you prove that your products are not made with dog/cat leather?
On the most recent pair of boots that I purchased from Jo Mercer, there is no indication of what type of leather it is made from. Considering the fact that your products are largely made in China, I would like to know what Jo Mercer has to say regarding using dog leather in their goods.
I think consumers deserve the right to know what their products are made from so they can make an informed choice.
