CHEAP AND UNSTABLE.
I bought a Jonsered YT42 at a trade show yesterday the price was roughly $700 cheaper that the other displays . The quality is considerable worse than that price difference. It is really poorly assembled with parts that rattle and bang when started. The bonnet is extremely difficult to open as it catches on the cables running under it. Those are the good points. On a slight incline it fails to keep traction even on dry grass it just sits there spinning at half revs. Cornering is the real problem It has no grab handles on the body and turning at...Read more
even low sped you can distribute weight so it lifts one wheel off the ground. Turn at any speed and it rolls.. It came with 3.5 hours on the clock (no idea why)It now has 4.1 and that is where it will stay. I won't ever use it again. Back to using my decade old model. I find the Jonsered really cheap, unstable and dangerous.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Jonsered YT2142
Recently purchased the New model YT2142 from our local dealer. Comes with a 21ho v-twin Kawasaki engine, 42 inch cut fabricated deck with cast iron pulleys (not light alloy), larger tyres with better tread pattern for slopes and rough terrain, pivotal front axle so it's like having independent suspension and make travelling over rough ground more bearable. All metal construction with powdercoated chassis. Very comfortable to ride with plenty of power. Twin blade cutting deck and front bumper are a bonus. 3 year warranty and very good value for money. Highly recommend over the similar sized John Deere and Husqvarna. I have owned a JD 125 for the past 9 years and this machine is way better..

What a machine !!!
As stated, made by Husqvarna. Solid strong reliable mower without the price tag. My father owns a 21hp Husqvarna and even he wishes he'd purchased a Jonsered instead. The last review summed up this mower to a tee. If your looking for a machine to mow long grass or to maintain your acerage to keep it looking like a lawn as l am you'd be crazy not to check out this line of products. I saved $1200 more than my dad and got almost the same if not a better machine. You can walk in to any husqy dealer and get blades filters and oil off the shelf. AYP kicking butt over MTD or Victa or Greenfield or cox or any mid priced chonda any day.

Jonsered
Recently bought the mower from a local retailer via a 27month interest free deal with Lombard finance (of whom I reviewed on this site) and so far am happy with it, especially when comparing it to having to spend time and money on my old ride on.
It has a ten year warranty on the deck, a three year warranty on the machine and 2 years on the Briggs and Stratton engine (don't why it's not longer considering how reliable B&S motors are).
The seat pulls further forward than other mowers I've looked at or used. The turning circle is also better t...Read more
han the others (aside from zero turns of course). It has a safety blade cut off when going in reverse which is great when considering one could easily back over a child, pet or solid object without realizing it. But it does have a key position which will enable the blades to run in reverse if required. So you've got the choice. There are stipulations on the warranties of course, like taking it to the dealer for services etc. But that's not a big deal for peace of mind. Yes, it does have headlights if required. It has all the other safety features like seat cut off switch etc. The other thing I like is the manual lever for engaging the cutters. No solenoid to burn out. Although I'm not sure how it cuts off the blades in reverse with this design. Will have to look into that on the net or an email to Jonsered. Apparently they're made in the USA and sister with Husqvarna and this is evident when looking at the body design. Same factory I'd say. All the levers for things are so very light to engage but the only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 rating is that the reverse is a little slow unless you put full foot pressure on it. It's a hydrostatic driven pedal (heal and toe style) which gets rid of problematic extra belts, drive chains and clutch or steel discs etc.
