Does a great roast
I have just upgraded my weber kettle. What a disappointment. There have been a few small subtle changes over the years from old original to the new model and not for the better. The bottom baffle is just an aluminium disc that you have to reach under to adjust the air flow and to shut it down instead of having the lever. Solid timber handles have been replaced with plastic and it just looks cheap and nasty

It’s good
Bought this earlier in the year, we still have it now but have only used it for about 5 times. It’s good for small little cook outs etc but not when you have a couple of hungry guests over as it can take some time to cook up but all in all it’s been good so far.

Works!
My bf bought a second hand bbq from his boss and it had already been used for 3 years at the time. Since he bought this one home, we’ve been having bbq every weekend. This machine cooks bbq really quick and gives a smoky flavour which I liked a lot & I know some of them don’t do that.

Good for the price
Ok had this for a few bbqs now, first off -its $58,it has a few faults but its $58!!
The next model up in the range is almost $100 more and if you are experienced and willing to shell out $5 more for a tile you cut up into fours to weight down the grills then yeah this is for you.
It isnt the rolls royce but does the job,did i mention its only $58?!
A couple of notes; the grill recesses are shallow and can have a tendency to dip/pop out if you use an indirect 1/2 & 1/2 coal method-a tile cut into four and placed n,s,e,w position fixes that.al...Read more
so drill two holes in the bottom of the stand for drainage(they fill with water from rain/washing). Oil after every use as the ceramic coating chips away at the screw holes over time and you want to keep the exposed metal protected from rust. Other than those three niggles its worth the money.

Webbers can smoke faster then a smoker
Webbers can smoke faster then a smoker they have a smaller chamber then most red meat or chicken smoker's if you cut the top of a small empty gas sillender an drill holes in the bottom you can save on Cole and the space around the sillender you can use to put dry Herb's like Rosemary and put BBQ mate herbs an peppers through the wood or coal's to help bring out a strong Smokey flavor in the meet using a Webber cuts the time in half compared to a full sized smoker

It's BBQ time!
Smokingly good! A price for a nice BBQ kettle with portable stand. We just recently bought this item and was impressed how it looks genuine after I assemble the parts. Height is perfect! It fits the space in our balcony and we are ready to rock a BBQ party!! Hope to grill some good steak and bbqs!

Good product
Great product, does the purpose of what was required from the product. The product is really portable and easy to carry, the charcoal adds to the flavour of the meat. The product pricing is very market competitive. It fits well for the beginners trying there hands on bbq for the first time. All in all a good product

Cheap but does the job
You get what you pay for. The build quality is not the top of the class and some small features could have been improved in the design but with the low price point this is all easily forgotten. I use it to smoke small roasts and haven't had many issues with it. Wouldn't recommend for big group cook up because of the size restriction

Excellent Product
I was looking for a good product within my budget. Searched and reviewed similar products in different BBQ specialized vendors but were very expensive. Finally I found one in Bunnings and to my surprise it turned out to be an excellent product with a very very reasonable and affordable price.

Great product for backyard BBQ
This a good BBQ product that fits great in our back yard, it is super easy to clean up after we all finished up, the stand is stable and seem to be really safe when we are preparing foods, but it is a little bit too small for three people, it's a good size for two though, overall it's a good product that satisfies our needs

Good as a first kettle BBQ
I tried this kettle and enjoyed cooking on charcoal. While you cannot compare the build quality to a Weber, it is good for someone who doesn't use a charcoal bbq often. The ash catcher is not designed well and doesn't fit properly. Other than that it is good value for money.

This is the perfect Kettle for your charcoal BBQ.
I use it mainly for Shish Kebabs, it is perfect for this task, the interior of the kettle is well coated and it's easily cleaned. The only problem you may have is when you want to take it with you in a picnic as you may need a large space of your car boot and you also need to take care of the screws and bolts. If you do clean it with water make sure you flip it down so it doesn't keep water inside it's pipes.

Take it anywhere and use smoking wood.
This portable charcoal BBQ can be taken to many places easily. Whether your going to the local park, creek / river, sports event or camping this is easy to transport with you and doesn't weigh much at all. There is the option to keep the lid off to do up a serving of the ol snags (sausages) or steaks. If you keep the lid on it can even be used to cook a pizza; yes, pizza. If your a bit experimental place some chucks of smoking wood in strategic locations to add extra flavour to your food. You can do this in your own back yard, front yard or even on your patio. Not only is it good to play around with / experiment it's convenience more than covers the cost of buying one.

Value for money
Used my Jumbuck a couple of of times without any issues except for the very ordinary / ill fitting ash catcher..It is not the best bbq in the world but if looked after should prove to be a worthwhile purchase.
Looking forward to cooking a big piece of beef on the Jumbuck and don't envisage any problems.even though the bbq is more shallow then other kettle type bbqs I have used.
Light weight and easy to wheel around. Not bulky.
Ash catcher doesn't seem to want to stay in place.

Hi I just bought the 57cm Jumbuck Black Kettle BBQ and my 17yr old daughter put it together, she did a fantastic job even the some of the screw holes werent drilled properly originally, we soon remedied that issue. Im about to use it for the first time, do I need to 'season it' first before cooking anything on it AND if so, how do i do this?
Thanks

I purchased a 57 Jumbuck Kettle and tried to use it like I would my Weber Kettle and in the indirect fire the coals diffused or went low under 45 minutes and thats having the vent on the lid open and also on the ash catcher but i did have the little plate sitting at the bottom hole of the BBQ ....why did the coals go off so quick ?

I need the stainless steel cooking grill that comes with bbq, anyone know where I can buy one?

Hi Waratahbaby
I don't know where you can buy a replacement grill from but I am don't use the grill that came with the Jumbuck and you can have it if you like.
I now use a circular cast iron grill which I purchased in Hornsby NSW many years ago.
Please let me know if you are interested
Thanks!! I'm going to search the council to shops on Saturday so I'll let you know. I'll need to have it posted to Qld so will look into the cost. Thanks again.
You should ask Bunnings if they can order one in for you. I've done this with another product that that sell where I broke the part.
