Better than most cafe coffee
We had a Delonghi Nespresso pod coffee machine. It makes an acceptable cup of coffee but nowhere near as good as the Jura. Our Delonghi came with a four year warranty and was returned for servicing 4 times. 3 times for a burnt milk frother and the last time when after de scaling, the coffee would not flow.
We explored the options. Life is too short to drink poor coffee. The Jura won. The Miele was nice, but the milk did not seem hot enough.
We had a lesson from Jura. They programmed the machine and provided information. The machine is simple ...Read more
to use, but we indulged ourselves with a "barista" session and this was fabulous. It's automatic, tells you what it wants eg water, beans etc and makes delicious hot coffee with little fuss. I can choose the strength of the coffee and select the coffee beans. Nothing.

Cant wait to turn it on each morning
After much research and deliberation on either the Bosch or the Jura, took the plunge and bought this unit.
It is so easy to use and virtually no maintenance. Only have to fill up the water and beans and the machine does the rest. I like being able to adjust the levels of coffee, water or milk on the fly if needed
Ease of use
Milk temp could be hotter

Its now been 4 years on and the machine still works like the day we bought it.
Although It did have a problem 2 years in, that it was required to be sent back to Jura, as we had an extended warranty ... Read more

Will End Up Paying For Itself
A weekly trip to the coffee shop usually ended up costing $30, by the time we paid for 2 flat whites, a hot chocolate, two babycinos and a muffin each for the kids. Now, the coffee we make at home is so much nicer, we don't bother with the cafe anymore. At this rate, the machine will pay for itself in less than two years, making the initial outlay, extremely worthwhile.
Delicious coffee, friends love it too! You do need to heat your cup first, I just fill mine with hot water from the tap, and wait while the milk section is heating before emptying it and making my coffee.
The babycinos for the kids are a huge hit too.

Spoke with customer svt
I spoke with customer svc regarding poor frothing. They were very helpful. I now take apart and clean the frothing wand/ dial each time, it takes about 15 seconds. However the biggest issue was that I was using fat fre milk resulting in watery "froth". I now use 2% milk and it has been perfect every time. I've had my machine for a year and I absolutely live it.
So far my favorite bean for all around use, both expresso and milk drinks, is Lavazza Super Crema
Enjoy!

of the grind. If it is too "sour" I tend to make the rind finer. You must always adjust the coarseness while the machine is grinding, so as not to damage your machine. Love this machine! Best coffee ever!
I am really impressed with this machine, we purchased the Impressa J9.3. It makes superb coffee! This mavcine is super quiet, easy to clean, and has a good size water unit, so you are not forever filling up the water. The coffee is hot and perfect. I have had 3 machines (different brands) and this machine is by far superior to the Gaggia, De Longhi and Sunbeam we have had before. We have the cup warmer too, so the cups are pretty warm to start with. I cannot recommend this machine enough.
Easy clean, looks fabulous, super quiet, awesome coffee

If you like your milky coffees hot then DO NOT buy this machine. It only heats the milk to around 130F, when it should be around 160F.
Yes, no recommendations from me.
I was worried about the temperature after reading the reviews but when I mentioned it to the sales rep at Harvey Norman he made a cup of milk which burnt my lip. Never been happier to have a burnt li... Read more

Good machine
After having the machine for three years, I needed to change the hose & connections for the milk. Unfortunetly, Jura website dont sell any J5 parts online or shows the price. It will be helpful if they do. Other wise I am very happy with the coffee machine, worth the money i paid for, good choice over Saeco (worst coffee machine)
Makes good coffee two coffee at a time, easy & simple to use, good temperature
No online parts and pricing on Jura Australia website

It makes great coffee
I like the coffee it makes but I don't like the Auto frothing. The auto frother is better than you get on a delonghi which I returned to the store because it milk was cold. I would love a coffee maker to come up with an auto frother that does work and makes it to the correct temp.
Great on the coffee
Poor at frothing milk

I find it hard to pay for a coffee now!
Awesome! Easy to use. Easy to clean. It tells you everything you have to do. Set the settings to how you like your coffee and you have perfect coffee everytime. If someone would like their coffee different it is very easy to change for just that time and will always revert back to your favourite setting afterwards. Tasty coffee. Great too if you have people who use different types of milk. When I am out I find it hard to pay for a coffee as it costs 10 times more than what it costs me to make one at home and it never tastes as nice as the one from my Jura.

Taste of Europe!
Amazing machine. I have had the J9 TFT for over a year now with no problems. I agree that initially the coffee can be warm and not hot, however traditionally coffee is not meant to be steaming hot. I have traveled to Europe on several occasions spending most of my time drinking coffee. I missed having good coffee at home and my Jura machine has satisfied my coffee addiction. My favorite features are the colour screen (easy to navigate) and the ease of self cleaning.

JURA J9.3 one touch TFT. Bad,Bad choice. Now what do I do???
I take a long hard look at anything I buy, may take weeks to decide, then I buy when I have chosen the one I think is best. At the time I had a Sunbeam Cafe Series machine with steam wand, it was a great product but I now wanted something that could make a coffee with the press of one finger.
The JURA J9 was my choice. If I wished for a Short or Long Black I could have it, if I wanted a Cappuccino I could have it, the specs said I could change everything to my liking. Coffee strength, water temperature, amount of water, amount of milk and temp...Read more

g the milk. Jura's look nice, but Saeco make the best coffee. They invented the first coffee machine and they're all still made in Italy even though Philips bought the company, it's all still made by Saeco. Are you still having problems with your Jura J9? I bought one recently and love it to bits!!! Not sure how you couldn't?
I did send the machine back and it came back the same, the milk never got hot enough.

Fantastic Purchase! Better then my local cafe :)
Had the Jura J9 TFT for a couple of months now and absolutely love it. Its super easy to use, its very easy to clean & makes a great tasting coffee - much better then my local cafe which charges $4 for a latte! I like the way the milk connects because there is less cleaning (no milk jug) and I can use soy milk whilst my husband uses full cream!
One thing I would change is it would be nice if the coffee poured before the milk - looks nicer - and obviously the cost was pretty high - Swiss Made stuff tends to be though.
Havent had any issues so ...Read more

Very over priced
Bought this machine approx 5 years ago to replace a Sunbeam. Overall have never really been that impressed with the quality of coffee it produces, in terms of texture and flavour. Also the milk frother spout is way too short and the ugly long plastic tube included with the machine looks like a catheter!! - Was expecting more from this machine Definately NOT worth the $$$'s. The Sunbeam made much nicer tasting/ texture of coffee and had many more compliments from guests back then too. I'm only giving this 1 star because I don't have the option of NONE!!!!
Just wont break down!!!! No 'take apart' cleaning required
Very Expensive, Milk frother too short

"Amazing coffee"
We have just purchased a Jura Impressa J5 machine after much deliberation of which brand to buy. We were swayed at the store we purchased from to consider the Jura brand which we did not research too much previously. After getting a great deal we went with Jura and haven't regretted our choice for one minute. The machine is easy to use, looks fantastic and makes the best coffee/lattes/hot chocolates. One of the best purchases we've made. Even our kids can use it with ease. Love it!
Ease of use, looks great in the kitchen, makes great coffee.
Absolutely nothing to date

Excellent
Easy machine to use, easy to follow, makes great coffee, sooo reliable (COMPARED TO GAGGIA'S PIECES OF CRAP). This machine looks the part and plays the part! Worth every cent.
Great reliable machine! The J5 looks amazing and makes great coffee including late and cappacino as well as long black/short white. Great customer service with quick response provided locally.
My wife thinks the manual frofth could be slightly better but you do have to pay extra for this wand (with a washer)

Good
The Jura is a solid reliable machine that makes very good coffee.
I don't use the frothing function so I can't comment on it.
I like the self-cleaning functions but find I still sometimes have to stick my hand inside the machine to wipe grinds off the inside.
You have to be aware that when you press the button for 2 coffees, unlike the Saeco which will make 2 coffees each from a fresh grind, the Jura will make 2 coffees using only the one grind. Easily solved: just make one coffee at a time!
Easy to use and reliable.

Questions & Answers

I wonder if any of you guys noticed that, when Jura is brewing espresso, it spits out water first before coffee?

Jura A.Jura
Hi William, does it doing when it first rinses as well?
Kind Regards
JURA Support team
Well i do not recall that it spits water during initial rinse, but observed this consistently for each and every brew; spits out clear water during pre-brew, then coffee.

I have had my J5 for a few years now and love it, recently when making coffee the water doesn’t go through the coffee it goes straight to the drip tray, is there a simple fix for this
1 answer
I believe it’s time for a deep clean; either send it in for a service, or diy.
Do you also having ‘no coffee symptom’ while making cappuccino through side spout?
Deb C.asked
I have a Jura J9 Impressa. When the machine needs cleaning, I enter the cleaning cycle as usual, but it automatically goes to expert mode. If I go back and enter the cleaning mode, and remove the drip tray, it won't recognize when I put the tray back in. However, when not in the cleaning mode, it has no problem recognizing the drip tray when I return it to place after emptying the grounds. Although I can make coffee, I now can't clean the machine. Any help?
