Thank you for your question, please remove the drip tray, place your hand were the drip tray goes were the in sits inside the machine feel and check if there is any built up of coffee grounds.
Put hot water in the tank and test the machine. this should clear any air blockages.

My z7 has just started randomly shutting down without rinsing. I had this for 5+ years and it is used daily. It has shut down in the middle of making a cup of coffee and also during a cleaning.

Press the Rotary Switch.
‘Maintenance status’
T Turn the Rotary Switch until ‘Machine settings’ is displayed.

The coffee coming out of my z5 seems to be watery, even though ristretto is selected, and extra strong. Any idea why this could be?

Dear Zap, Thank you for your question, it sounds like a blocked shower head.'
Please remove the drip tray and put to the side.
Place your hand were the drip tray sits feel up there is a flap that moves foward please move and wipe clear of any ground coffee.
once cleaned put tray back in and test the machine and let me know if this has resolved the issue.

I did that, not a lot of grounds came out, but no difference in the coffee noticed. Since then I went for it, I've pulled out and cleaned the grinder (spout was half blocked, bizarrely a lot of unground beans underneath the grinder which I emptied out), removed and cleaned the brewing head (no issues seen except the expected mould in various places), cleaned whatever surfaces I could get at. It all back together and works fine, but no apparent difference in coffee strength. I've tried fine and coarse ground settings. Any ideas what I might be missing? The unit is new to us, bought used recently. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your problem with Jura z6 this machine has many problems, I hope yours is still under warranty. I dont know how to solve this except calling Jura and getting it sent back, probably a faulty sensor

My machine is stuck on the spout not fitted message even though it is fitted and no one has touched the spout. Theres no way to override it and sometimes it clears in 3o minutes, sometimes hours. Not convenient when you're wanting to make a coffee now.

Many problems with this machine, I dont know the solution other than it being a faulty sensor, call Jura and get it sent to them to examine and fix the problem

I have a Z9 since 2014, Love it.
It seems to be having problems with water flow. I have taken filter out and filled tank with warm water and tried to run rinse coffee and milk and it does not flow. :-( HELP

Hi Leanne, try with hot water and remove the drip tray, place your hand were the drip goes feel up there is flap, pleave move forward and clean away any ground coffee. This is called the shower head and if there is just a little build up it wont dispense coffee or rinse. After cleaning please test the machine minus the filter and hot water.

When you change the coffee setting and/or the oz setting for espresso, does it use more bean and/or provide the same amount of espresso or should I just keep it maxed out on strength and do multiple 1oz shots? Not sure if this is a quantity vs quality question. Thank you!

increasing the water only increases the hot water and not the strength by increasing the water it will make the expresso weaker if will need to increase beans to keep the strength.

I have just purchased a new Z6,The manual says not to use coffee beans treated with additives or caramelised coffee beans. Would this mean I should not use Lavazza beans described on the packaging as having a taste profile of fruity and floral, chocolate, dried fruits, spices, wood and tobacco, Caramel, herbs and biscuit?

Not use any beans coated in sugar as its harmfull to the grinder and Brew-unit.

Thank you for your question, the serial is on the bottom under the barcode its the last 12 digits it normally starts with 2018, 2017, 2016 depending on the age of your new machine.

We have run out of coffee beans for a couple days. And I just love the coffee from this machine so much I thought I would put ground coffee in the ground chute... I followed the instructions exactly. It wasn't rocket science. Yet, for some reason, the machine is not recognising that there is any ground coffee in the powder chute. It still doesn't give me an option to make coffee.
How do i fix this? If I can't fix this without shelling out heaps for repairs, how do i at least clean the ground coffee out of the chute?

Yes I do agree. It is not hot/hot but they say their machines temp for coffee are perfect..
I agree, I don't understand why my coffee is not hot. I googled it and videos tell me to have a hot kettle of water ready and add a splash. Seriously? .... for $4k I have to make my coffee like instant coffee? I don't think so- absolutely not- that's crazy!. If I don't find a way to make it hot ( it is on HIGH), it will be returned for that reason. We do not drink warm coffee here. Comes out warm and within 5 minutes it's a cold drink. Not right. How embarrassing to server cold coffee to guests. Can't do it. :( DKR
My coffee comes out lukewarm; an awful way to drink coffee. By the time i finish it’s ice cold. I’m very disappointed with the Jura Impreza z6. I might just sell my machine on eBay at a discount and buy a different coffee machine.

Thank you for your question, Error 8 is a brew unit error please turn the machine off at the power point for a couple of minutes and turn back on sometimes doing a reset can resolve this issue otherwise the machine will need to come in to the nearest Jura service centre.
