We bought our Z5 about 10 years ago and only just retired it a few months ago for a smaller, more counter space friendly model (an A9). The Z5 was really great and made almost 30,000 coffees over it's time with us (kind of cool we could tell from the counter!) We have had this machine for a month, and really enjoy the beautiful coffee, but the milk frother is very temperamental. sometime it will work perfectly and then for the next 10 coffee, dreadful, and you have to chuck them all out they taste so bad. I would have thought for paying a price like this one, we would never have a problem, but unfortunately i think I am going to be wrong. Our first coffee machine, makes a smooth, perfect temperatured latte and a hot espresso with a beautiful crema. They are the 2 coffees we make the most however there are so many more options if we would use them.

The two small issues is it doesn't have an ON timer (to have it ready to go when we wake up), which I wish it did, and you can't manually froth milk (so you can burn the milk) for a really HOT coffee (which the Mrs likes) but I like it how it is.

It is easy to clean, but you have to maintain that cleanliness.

We now had the Z5 for 8 months making some 8-12 cups of latte/cappuchino per day. We bought it refurbished online for $799 from a well known site. It was refurbished directly by Jura and as always they change the inside components and ship new accessories and give the same factory warranty as brand new machines. An absolute waste of money. My husband bought this out of the blue because it was a "good price". The coffee might be good if you want an espresso or ristretto but if you want anything with milk you'd be better off buying and italian stovetop espresso machine for $20 odd bucks and heating your milk in the microwave - because that's what I've ended up doing because a latte or cappucino is just luke warm straight out of the machine. We had a very good machine that lasted for 11 years and we upgraded to Nespresso first and then to Jura Z5 about 6 months ago; I did not like the idea of Nespresso - have to buy pods from specific place... I like to know what we are drinking... having real machine means that you can choose your coffee beens not capsules filled with something - that is my opinion and not everybody have to agree with me

I have owned the Jura Z5 coffee machine for 18 months and love it.

The machine was not cheap; at the time we purchased it for $2,800.00 after haggling with the sales people at Harvey Norman. I also purchased the milk chiller which is brilliant.

It makes a perfect cappuccino with just the press of one button.

The machine is easy to use and seems to be very reliable.

if you are looking to save money over time, if you are looking for a machine that will deliver a hot great tasting cup of coffee in under 60 seconds then you can not look past the jura range. these products are the bee's knee's of coffee machines. and the cleaning is not as complicated as some think! you you have to be really silly if you think dropping a tablet into the pre ground shoot or changing a filter is more comlicated than descaling and all the other jazz with other brands. I love the look of the Z5 on our kitchen bench and when we get our visitors I wont be offering bulk coffees of instant [censored word removed]! A bit early to have an opinion but after setting it up I am now having my near perfect Latte and Cappuccino. Also, what I paid for it is a big bonus. Display model with a 5 year extended warranty for $1830 at Clive Peeter's in Ringwood. I believe there is one more machine available as of today's date!!
